Friendly staff, food was great, lovely “Tea Room” atmosphere . Really good value for money ,. Can strongly recommend a visit

Not a welcoming place. Senior waiter (or manager) took our food order. No welcome or friendly behaviour from him. Most of the food arrived. Most of us were eating our food as the burger was so late arriving. When it arrived it was undercooked and very pink inside. Meat pie had to be returned as vegetables and mash were cold. The pie was so overpowering with herbs and was impossible to tell whether the meat was lamb or beef. Our friend went home and was very poorly with stomach upset after eating this. The chips with the scampi were lukewarm. No one asked how our food was. Think they must have gathered we were not happy. Some of us ordered dessert. Waitress said I suppose you need spoons!!! How did she expect us to eat the food!!! Won’t be returning.

Arrived tonight wanting a nice pub meal only to be told the kitchen was closed. Despite their website stating food was served from 6pm. How hard is it to put something on your own website to let potential customers know? Wasted journey.

Excellent service delicious food. Great value. We have not been to the lamb for a while. Heard they had a new chef. Lovely starters of garlic prawns & pate. Calves liver cooked to perfection and macaroni cheese
