Just had an excellent bacon, sausage and cheese toastie (with chilli sauce); and a goats cheese, pesto, tomato and rocket focaccia. Best quality in Ainsdale! And loads of goodies on the shelves.

Attended this morning for a sausage sandwich. Great, happy, helpful staff. Qucik service and superb sausages. Enticed to buy a homemade sausage role for lunch as they looked so good. I had this for my lunch and it was so worth the wait as it was just so good. Salt and pepper, not to hit and so good. So. Much choice for all. Thanks for your amazing service.

We moved in to the area 3 months ago. In that time we have been to this lovely place four times. Most recently, 12 of us went last weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. And every single person enjoyed it! Last week, two friends came to visit us from Formby and called in to Pebbles en route. âOh, we stopped off in a lovely place before coming here. Pebbles? Do you know it?â Oh yes, we know it! And it is our favourite place in Ainsdale. Small, cosy and welcoming, the menu is predominantly Greek (my favourite food) but there is also a good selection of English dishes. I have tried the Afelia (Cypriot dish), chicken gyros, the mezze. All were excellent, but my favourite dish was the beef stifado, hands down. The chef clearly knows how to make authentic Greek food with big flavours. I hope that Pebbles can get that dish on to its regular menu. The prices are very good too. I will be back very soon!

We had heard that the pub had been refurbished so decided to give it a go on Fatherâs Day. The first gripe was that there were no draught real ales on sale. I know we have left the EU but does that mean we must drink fizzy tasteless continental lagers with no choice of English beers and ales. Good job I had already had a pint in the Golden Monkey. The starters were good, but then we had the long wait. Almost an hour. Didnât they realise that there would be heightened demand on this particular day! When the main course did arrive, there was disappointment all round. Small portions of fish and chips was one complaint. I had steak and ale pie. It did not appear to be homemade and contained little meat. It was accompanied by French fries, three small florets of broccoli, and three slivers of carrots. The whole ensemble was not so much swimming as drowning in gravy.. It was not a meal to remember. I doubt that any of the adults will be returning in the near future.
