The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Haslington Cheshire East North West

Not quite sure what has happened to Ego. We have been often and always enjoyed it, but not this last visit. First, the menu has been trimmed back. There is less choice and prices have headed upwards. My soup was great, but the scallos were overcooked and thinly sliced (!!) My chicken milanese was substantial - two chicked fillets, but one was over-cooked and very dry inside. The paella was allegedly tasty but was quite greasy at the base . At £25 to £30 for two courses, this was not good value for money

Sorry but the food was tasteless served by young staff, who are pleasant but could do with more training. Shame really as this could have been a great experience. I don't like eating bland food!

As locals we are desperate for the White Lion to return to its glory days. We can walk there - super handy! Popped in for mid week family quick tea tonight to give it another go after recent mediocre experiences. Prices are high - but then the food is now self collection? Really? Bad start. Then waited 50 mins for food. Toilets out of order / no loo roll 🤢 so a bit cross by now i sought the manager. The manager replied with a slew of defensive ‘we are busy’ responses. The pub was ultra quiet… busy? Really? Then food arrived - oops was ready to collect. Definitely not worth the cost/ wait! Katsu curry ok. Veg cold on other meals. No apology issued at any point. I did point out an apology goes a long way! This is a village pub crying out for friendly service. Great food and service = repeat business and recommendation. Sadly we wont be back any time soon.
