Had a wonderful Twixmas get together with the family staying in 4 of the gorgeous bedrooms and thoroughly enjoying a delicious 3 course dinner in the restaurant. The food is amazing and if they would share the recipe for the creamed mushroom and duck egg starter we would be very grateful. We stumbled across this lovely traditional pub on a recent trip to the area. The staff were friendly and the beer tasted great. A special mention must go to the fantastic food. A decent concise menu but every dish a winner. Our kids loved the pasta but our favourite was the beef bourguignon. The perfect warming antidote to these winter days. We spent a lovely couple of hours there on a Sunday and will hopefully be back soon.
