The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Moor Chesterfield East Midlands

To start with the food was very good. It was not what I ordered but was good. It is also a good price. Well it would have been if they charged me right. 4 sandwiches and a coffee £21. I asked for this to written down and the girl wrote £21 on the back of the ticket. I tried to explain I wanted a breakdown but got a piece of paper with a calculation on it that Einstein couldn't compute. I think I'm about £4 out of pocket. I would recommend the food but the staff need a lot of training

Fabulous place to eat - drinks rather expensive but that is to be expected - the Tapas option is clever so we used that as a starter - very good indeed. I ordered the “burger” (cooked through as requested). It was excellent and I would go as far as saying the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere (if you can wax lyrical about a burger 😜) - however, my wife ordered fish from the specials menu - it was seriously undercooked. We sent it back and the problem was resolved (even though the staff told us that was how the fish should be cooked - or not cooked😜). This all meant that our main courses were eaten separately. We went out to eat together, sadly not in this case hence a lost star.

As we were staying overnight at Casa Hotel, we decided to eat here. I started with some delicious homemade soup (I seem to recall that it was a bit spicy but can't remember the flavour, maybe parsnip) and followed it with homemade turkey and cranberry pie which was one of the daily ‘specials'. My friend opted for the Casa burger, again homemade, and it was just enormous! We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and, at £49 for the pair of us, including a glass of wine, it certainly didn’t break the bank. I would say that the food in Barca Bar is a cut above average pub food and probably equals the quality of the food served in the hotel’s Cocina restaurant. We were there in the run-up to Christmas and, even though the place was packed to the rafters, and staff were run off their feet, service was excellent. Would definitely eat here again.
