18/12/2018: My aunt has been raving about this restaurant for years so we booked for 1pm today (19/12/18) for a lunch before Christmas. Staff were lovely on arrival but that is where the positives finish. My husband ordered steak pie from the main menu but when the order got to the kitchen we were told it was not available. I ordered Risotto from the Christmas menu but was also advised that wasn't available. The Christmas menu was on offer at 2 courses for 13.50 and three courses for 14.95. My aunt ordered a gammon main and asked for hand cut chips instead of mash, I ordered the lamb and also asked for hand cut chips. The server came back to tell us there were no hand cut chips but we could have roast potatoes which we were happy to order. When our two meals arrived they both had mash potatoes....we reminded the server that we had asked for roast potatoes so she took the meals back to the kitchen and returned with the meats and veg and said the roast potatoes had been 'put on'. They duly arrived and guess what they were not home cooked but from frozen. We then ordered two aunt had only one course at this point and I had two. My husband didn't want a dessert. The order went to the kitchen at 14.15 and a few minutes later the server came back to the table to say we couldn't get desserts as they were closing (the stated closing time is 14:30). My aunt said to the server that she was very disappointed in the meal and felt really bad as she had been raving about the restaurant which is the only reason we were there. The server sent over a gentleman who may be the owner and he apologised but said they were closing so we had to leave. My aunt explained she had only had one course from the two course menu so that was relayed back to the kitchen and they agreedwe could have our deserts but to be honest by that time I was so angry that I just wanted to leave. We asked for the deserts to be put into containers for us to take away only to be told that they had run out of containers. After a bit of discussions they agreed to put the deserts into tin foil. While we were waiting for the take away deserts we were presented with the bill which had no reduction for the inconvenience or the obvious distress caused to my aunt. I have never ever been in a restaurant which takes a desert order then after taking the order to the kitchen tells you that you cannot have the deserts as they were closing....especially as it wasn't at the stated closing time of 2:30. I would not advise anyone to ever go to this restaurant.

13/12/2018: We went to Lido for a meal to celebrate our anniversary. We were served by Michelle, who was lovely, friendly, helpful and professional! Her colleagues were equally as welcoming. The food and drinks were delicious as always, and Michelle helped us celebrate our anniversary with a sparkler in our dessert, which was a lovely fun touch. The venue is stylish and comfortable, and the food and drinks menus are extensive and high quality. We always know we’ll have a great time at a Buzzworks venue, and this was no exception. Thanks Michelle, and everyone!
11/12/2018: Have now visited every week recently and the food and service have been consistently very good.

East Kilbride Central North, South Lanarkshire
10/10/2018: Went here today for the first time, I’m not all that familiar with all the eating places on offer at this particular area of EK shopping centre. I asked the chef ( as was an open kitchen) if they sold scrambled egg rolls before deciding if I wanted to eat here as this was what I fancied for breakfast), he said “yes”and I then asked him where you order to which he gestured to the till. He then took my order as there wasn’t any other staff available at that time. I stood at the till and waited on order, when it came the roll was in a paper bag and the coffee in a polystyrene cup which I thought a bit odd. I then went and sat down at one of their tables to then be approached by a young female member of staff who said to me that I shouldn’t be sitting here as the table and chairs were for sitting down customers only, and that she would allow me to stay this once as the restaurant was quiet but in future I must ask for a table if wanting to sit in their restaurant. I felt very uncomfortable and not very welcome after this and explained to her that she really should be taking the matter up with her staff/colleagues as it was bad customer practice as I was not asked if sitting in or taking away and said to her that I did find it strange that they gave me my order in before said packaging. I felt very angry at this and left immediately after eating my scrambled egg roll and drank my coffee on a mall bench. I don’t understand why she had to approach me in the first place because as she said the place was quiet and what difference does it make if you’re sitting in or taking away when you are buying the food from them anyway, ( would they have made an extra pound or so from me for sitting in?, or how hard would it have been to put roll on a plate and coffee in a proper cup?). All I know is that I certainly won’t be eating here again.
07/10/2018: I went to Cova for lunch today with my son (not a first, definitely a last) I was told there were no seats available even though the middle two tables were empty. The couple behind us were told the same. After a while they left rather than wait any longer. I asked the girl who was seating people what the issue was with the middle two tables. I was told that they were kept incase parties of more than two turned up. While she was telling me this another two people who had arrived after us also left rather than wait, so they lost 4 customers "just in case customers turned up" (fantastic business model) While the waitress was writing down the managers contact number a booth for 2 became available, we decided not to take it. Now 6 customers lost, "incase" 4 had turned up.
