We have ordered takeaway a few times from Nigiri and the food is great. Well packaged and tasty. Having had the "real deal" in Singapore / Japan, this is pretty close to the mark. I am not a fan of Japanese style rice, but I am reliably informed that the chicken Katsu is top notch. We have sampled several of the appetisers (my preference) and can recommend the pork and the chicken gyozas (5 pieces in each). The prawn and chicken tempura is also lovely. We also tried the "loaded fries" and that is a meal in its own right! Lastly, some of the sushi was sampled and the California roll was superb. We had an issue with an order placed due to a systems glitch. You can tell the service when things go wrong - not when they always go right. Linda was very apologetic about the issue and it was rectified and we got a complimentary order as an apology. Nigiri is one of our regular places and we look forward to trying the rest of the menu ! It's great to see something other than pizza / fish and chip places. A good variety in the area is much appreciated.

Arrived at 11 (opening time) and waited outside, hoping to get some food before catching a train. Was told they would be 5 mins, then 5 mins later was told it would be another 10. I know Kokoro does good food, but am leaving a negative review as I didn’t have time to get any lunch because they aren’t opening the store at the time advertised.

Having day out with my son , he chose Yosushi for lunch previously having a good experience Today 6/12/24 Very disappointing . The selection of food on the belt was extremely limited , almost all salmon . I ordered hot dish spicy rice and chicken , it was very bland , chips were ok .We commented on the selection and was told just order off the menu . It whole experience is to a variety and choose from belt. We waited but nothing appeared. So we just payed the bill and left , for £30 certainly not worth it for what we had. We also were aware of 7 salmon plates kept circling with 15.00 on them which had been on since we arrived just shortly after one . Just before 15;00 hrs a female member of staff took them off and replaced them with a new time of 18:00. Surely this is not good practice and should be discarded after this time especially uncooked fish. Also do not think i staff to be drinking cans of energy drinks inbetween preparing foods storing it beside the sauces Unfortunately I will not be returning after this experience .

Very happy that the Bibimbap is back!! That being said we have always had a lovely experience dining here. There are more options now than a year ago also. When we takeaway, the food is always fresh and full of flavour - might need a bit of a moment in the microwave with hot items but that doesn’t make a difference. The staff are lovely, options are great and we come back for more!

Went in for a catch up with a friend for a late lunch, we had booked a table in advance. My friend arrived first and was sat at the nicer table by the window but was asked after 5 minutes to move to a simple table so a couple could have that one which I find extremely unprofessional. Only us and one other table were inside. The atmosphere was nonexistent, so quiet inside that we felt like everyone could hear us speaking to each other, no music playing or anything. We were just saying our hellos, before being able to look at any menus at all we were quickly asked for our drinks order. We asked the waitress if she could come back in a little bit. Only a minute later another waitress had came up and asked if we’d like to order food? We hadn’t even ordered drinks let alone looked at the food options. Because of this we just ordered lemonades since we hadn’t had a chance to choose a cocktail from their menu. Again, only a minute after we were asked by the first server for our food order and just ordered a couple things without being able to properly look over the menu. Our food came out quite quickly and was roasting hot, looked very appealing. However the chicken karaage tasted so off we didn’t even finish half of it between us. The katsu curry had a very strange taste yet was so flavourless at the same time. The rice was so stodgy. I was rather ill after we left. Despite the waitresses being very eager to get our orders in, no one came to the table to see if we needed new drinks or anything. The waitresses were very lovely but seemed absolutely miserable. Afterwards we were thinking of getting dessert to find out that they only had two flavours of ice cream available and nothing else. We felt pretty rushed despite the restaurant being dead, not a great atmosphere especially when the staff seem very unhappy in their jobs. Overall I think this restaurant has potential, especially given how nice it looks but a restaurant can’t just look nice. New management is needed asap and will be the only way to “save mikaku”. Treat your staff better, use quality food, get a bit of music on and teach basic food hygiene, I didn’t plan on spending hours on the toilet after a simple lunch 👍👍
