The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Abbey Bath and North East Somerset South West

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great drinks! However, the small plates were very small for the price, and the scallops were not cleaned well.

The “Bath Landlady” has done a fantastic job at the pub. Was a pub with a reputation of Fosters lager, and some interesting people. Now it’s cool, with an excellent selection of drinks, it’s been stripped back and now feels like a proper pub, with plenty of live music and a hip clientele. Probably one of the most reasonable priced value for money restaurants with very good taste and excellent portion size. The best sushi I ate in a while. Very fresh and good value for the real thing. Highly recommend.

Today was my 12th birthday and I chose my fav restaurant to have a nice meal with my people.Dissapointed. First of all,the food Is good quality,however, our orders were practically ignored and half of the food wasn't delivered after several reminders and had to be cancelled,this included two simple glasses of water that takes 10 seconds to make. Specific requests we asked aswell were also ignored and for the slightly fussier side of us ,made the food Inedible. Asked for bubble tea, only had 1/4 flavours in stock and in which the bubbles were undercooked. To top it off, the staff made up invalid excuses that were clearly impractical. Used to be my fav place to be.Really disappointed and my birthday was quickly turned to ash by this horrible meal.

Visited this evening while staying overnight in Bath and had a superb experience. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they made some recommendations which were excellent and very accurate in their description. Had some miso rolls to start, crab and prawn, both were delicious. Had teriyaki salmon and lamb chops for mains. Both were beautifully cooked with wonderful flavours. The decor and crockery were all well "themed" and the result was a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
