The best restaurants serving Italian food in Derry Western NI

Amazing food and even better Service!

My wife and I are from the US and we visited Ireland back in September 2024, and La Sosta was one of the most special meals we had on this trip. For my primo, I had the ravioli with asparagus, and it was some of the best pasta I've ever had. It reminded me of my trip to Italy! My wife's primo was the rigatoni alla vodka, and it was great also. My secondo was the lamb with mint sauce, and my wife's secondo was the chicken, bacon, and mozzarella dish. Our contorni were roasted potatoes, green beans, and aubergines. The house white wine and sparkling water paired well with the food. For dolci, I had panna cotta with raspberry sauce, and my wife had the gelato. It was fun to practice speaking Italian with the owner also. He made the experience authentic and uniquely Italian. The pace of dining here was leisurely and relaxing, all of the food was outstanding, and we left full and happy!

Over priced, too long for each course. People served before us because staff knew them. They are not bothered about new customers, just have their own regulars. Cannot handle criticism. Just got a vacant look. Had a great experience here over a year ago, but will not be back. Not good enough, especially the price you are paying. Don't usually write reviews but believe it was necessary here.

Indian restaurant but they take it for granted to indian people, they served papad, achar, onion, and lemon complementary to other customers not to Indian people😂😂

Driver was rude and didnt get my chips and drink that was payed for bad service

Romeo’s never disappoints me with the food quality. Andrea at front she is very helpful and very friendly person. I had mixed feelings king kebab which was huge and tasty. I will definitely be back
