Danano Forno in Derry

One of the nicest pizza restaurants in Northern Ireland. The crust was amazing and the toppings were cooked perfectly. The Staff are very friendly and making sure that you are satisfied. I'm looking forward to trying new items on the menu

So disappointed 😥 looking forward to it. U order takeaway so u don't have to cook. Chips cold an cardboardishy. Pizza asked for dubnle cheese an pepperoni last night lol. If I didn't ask for that it would off been a pizza bace I got. Let's say it waz rotten only worthy for tge bin. Sorry only had 4 bites of a£30 takeaway an put the rest in the bin that was 3 people sharing not one liked it.... Cold and lacking toppings

Their takeaway food is so good at the min, lovely pizzas and pastas and their chips are really good, we get from here often. Would definitely recommend.

Can't thank the staff enough. Halloween night, everywhere booked, 2 hungry kids and they squeezed us in. Fantastic service.

Well, I was going to eat here, just about to order… until I saw the guy who was cooking sniffing loudly, sneezing, and blowing his nose repeatedly, and then going back to cooking with barely a splash of water (and no soap!) on his hands. No thanks. Paid for my drink and moved on.

We arrived late and they let us have dinner. Good service and the pizzas are good.

On the plus side, they are open late and have a courteous staff. We had the pizza twice and found it to be just okay.

Waitress didn't agree to split the bill. God knows why.. Pizza 3.5/5 Pasta 4/5

Worst pizza ever!!!! Just bought a margarita and a pepperoni pizza, very little flavour, pizza was as hard as a brick..... worse than frozen pizza. Even the dog wouldn't eat it! Do not recommend, gave 1 star as cannot give zero.

Amazing food and service! Handled a small problem exceptionally

Disappointing meal at Da Nanos, I usually love this restaurant but didn't enjoy the food at all this time. I had a pasta dish, which was tastless and bland. My friends dessert wasn't nice at all and two friends' coffees were tepid and undrinkable. On the plus side, those who got pizzas said they were beautiful. 5 pound corkage for each bottle of wine seems a tad expensive. The servers were lovely, though. I couldn't fault them, and the atmosphere was good. I'm just hoping it was a bad night as it's one of my favourite restaurants, but i would be loathe to return after this experience

So happy with the food, I personally wouldn't put chicken in the carbonara as it just makes it filling, but the food was good, it came out quickly, and the service was great. And it was quiet enough on a Saturday night so we could go in with no booking. Coffee machine was causing problems so we didn't get a coffee but it wasn't a deal breaker

Had a lovely meal in Dannos Italian Restaurant at the weekend, our 4th time to dine there, really great food and lovely friendly attentive staff, hope to get back again soon. 👍

Took an hour to deliver ok but cold. Pizza hardly any meet. Like a £2.50 pizza. Cheese chips around 10 for £4 spent £30 for two pizza and cheese chips. Owners I felt truly ripped off. First time.

Got a delivery, pizza, pasta and fritters. Delivery took ages. Fritters were obviously frozen. Pasta was incredibly bland. Pizza was nothing special.

The pizza was very good. Their banofie cheesecake would have been excellent if it had fresh bananas, unfortunately they were frozen and ruined the lovely toffee and cream which were perfect. The pasta was a big disappointment, nothing came as described not even the sauce. Certainly has a good chance to improve.

Excellent food, genuine Italian taste and cooking. I would just recommend the pick and mix to be available for sit in not only takeaway as it would give the possibility for people to taste more options from the menu.

Pizza was 10/10. Perfect. Cannot fault or at all. Perfect pizza chef person Also he was Very accomodating to make pizza just as they were closing and washed hands before making pizza and even washed the pizza slice. He was polite and cordial. Please note.. The paper menu they have in the restaurant is old with old prices. Last night I saw their website via Google showed the old prices so I thought naturallyi was overcharged. But now today I see their website is different with the new prices. Very confusing how their website changed from last night to today!

Great pizza, fast service and attentive staff.

Visited for the first time yesterday during a day trip from Belfast. Absolutely loved it. The staff so friendly and welcoming. The food superb and very reasonable too. Would definitely recommend 😊

Lovely little place, great food, nice staff.

Very sad to see a business in decline. Having ordered from here for 15 years. I had the worst possible experience, last Sunday night for a food collection. The food was in no comparison to the similar food I've ordered at Paolo's Pizza

Tables and chairs sticky and no soap in bathroom. Food okay, pasta dish very salty.

Called in as a last minute option - was not disappointed. Food, wine and service was superb. Will definitely be back.

Busy night in Derry, over mid term and we had nothing booked. Manageress took our number and got us a table later. Food and service was excellent. We will be back again when we are back in town.

Nice food with the right mix of veg, meat and sauce. However, the service is not great. It's almost like the staff are trained in avoiding eye contact and "excuse me"s. We would have liked dessert. Instead we spent half an hour fruitlessly trying to get someone's attention. We gave up. In future I'll go somewhere where they like to feed people.

This was a really lovely eating experience. A large group of us attended. The staff were exceptional. After making our orders there were complimentary slices of pizza with different toppings. The starters were very good to - we had a platter of different meats and olives. My main of penne carbonara was also delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Today we were there for the first time, but definitely not the last! We came up with a spontaneous idea to eat something late in the evening. They welcomed us with open arms. First class service! The pizza was delicious! Fired in a furnace! There really isn't a better one in Derry! Great beer to go with it! The place is in a good place, close to the center. Quiet vicinity . I recommend it as much as possible! Everything is a big plus!

Jst had our daughter's 12th birthday party there, making their own pizza. Helpful, friendly pleasant staff.

This has been my first time trying in here. The pizza, pasta and garlic potatoes are beautiful. Their house wine was beautiful as well. I will definitely be returning. Staff where lovely as well.

Best pizza I've ever had, highest quality take away in Derry and lethal value too

I have enjoyed danano in the past but there new menu idea of choose two items for £12.99 to me is a disaster. the pizza which was 8in came on a side plate. the ceasar was iceberg no parmesan. so I had to ask for bigger plate.its just to small I has to order another pizza. while the staff were pleasant the service was so slow.the restaurant itself was untidy and would remind you of waiting at a bus station. not a pleasant experience.

The staff were lovely, but im a quite disappointed with the new menu, neither the garlic bread or the pizza were cut properly making it very difficult to get a slice, the pizza was spicy to the point of being difficult to taste and the seafood rice balls gave the impression of being microwaved. I used to come here with family a lot, so i really hope this review is taken under consideration.

Long wait - takeaway customers seem to get priority. Credit card machine not working - between us, we gathered enough cash to pay the bill for a party of 7... Server did not mention it when order was taken, otherwise one of us could have got cash out of a nearby cash machine whilst waiting for our mains... 🙄

Too long to wait for 2 pizzas, which we didn't like, the quality is low. The place is cold and not very welcoming... I don't recommend it for dining, perhaps it would be fine for a quick lunch. The menu is half Italian, easy to read.

New chef. Portions have halved and chef is English. Isnt this an italian resturant? Wont be back (takeaway)

Been ok when I have been in restaurant .. but don't EVER use their home delivery service. I don't live a mile from them and yet it took 1 hour 15 minutes to deliver 2 pizzas... and even then they'd not got the order right.

Order online. Wrong delivery. Phoned to complain. Only got a cheeky answer from waitress. Refused to change the pizza. Terrible service !!! Only one star as we can't put zero

Ordinary pizzeria in Derry. The pizza was delicious and I couldn't say if the prices were excessive or not, since we were only there one night and I didn't have time to compare. The pizzas were around £11 each.

Beyond slow. Arrived with only 2 other couples in the restaurant ahead of us. Put the order in immediately. One hour later, no food. The couple ahead of us drank a full bottle of wine. Then their food didn’t arrive either, so they just gave up and left. After that happened we found out our order had never been put in at all. Really, save your time and go elsewhere.
