The best restaurants serving Italian food in Teignbridge South West

Staying at Gissons hotel, last minute booking for a work trip. Checked in and decided to try the restaurant for our evening meal. The food is excellent, proper freshly cooked Italian cuisine and a nice selection of beers to accompany. Staff were also first class, extremely personable. Highly recommended.

Really great ice cream with some very original flavours. Soft serve, scoops and take home tubs. Some of the flavours are sometimes a bit left field for me but they do a roaring trade so …. Variety is obviously much appreciated. I tend to get excited when I pop down there and find a good old plain chocolate ice cream tub for sale

Enjoyed our 3rd visit on Sunday evening and always worth the travel from home in Torquay and stay overnight in the White Hart. This is a truly wonderful rustic and cosy family Italian restaurant. A simple menu of perfect thin base pizza and pasta dishes. Busy and atmospheric with an open kitchen for your further entertainment. We were initially attracted by the arresting bright red facade and beautiful display of potted green plants on the pavement. Very reasonable prices especially enhanced as this restaurant, despite being licensed, is also a BYO. Happy days! Another rather lovely and rare feature is that Berto's is doggy friendly. We were attracted by the good ratings that we read. Unfortunately I could rate our experience no better than average. It was a cold day, there was no fire and it felt cold in the pub. The seats were old and uncomfortable. The Ciabattas were burnt in places and there was no sauce with the meatballs. The salad was very limited. Very disappointing considering we had gone out of our way to visit.

We often visit Ricca's for special occasions and every time we go we're greeted with a warm welcome, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Please go and support this amazing local business!

Ordered for takeaway and pizza was picked up burnt and cold, received a phone call saying could we pick up half an hour earlier as it was busy so I assume he just cooked it for that time and left it sat on the side. Poor.

Ordered through an app - delivered piping hot and fresh and in great time. Absolutely fantastic authentic perfectly cooked stone baked pizza with plenty of toppings. DELICIOUS. Thank you.
