Great vibes, food, drinks, service! Limited menu however what they do they do well. Very clean premises and friendly staff.

A colourful discovery on a rainy day! Family member suggested we meet up here and great vibe. I had a delicious chai latte and the children enjoyed their hot chocolates. The coffee drinkers approved of their drinks too. We also shared a couple of cakes but they were eaten before could take a photo!

Staying at an Airbnb near to Ashburton which only had cafetière coffee which simply doesn’t hit the caffeine mark for us at all. Discovered the eclectic and colourful Cafe Latino early on in our trip and returned several times for fab cortado coffees which were strong and smooth. It’s a small place but clearly very popular with a whole range of locals. Davide even did us a huge favour by making us focaccia sandwiches earlier than he would normally, just so we could have a decent meal while we were travelling home. Totally recommend and will definitely return when we are back in Devon.

Visited this café whilst in ashburton and really impressed. Great coffee , friendly staff and good cakes and my wife said the smoothie was delicious and one of the best she had had. Love the quirky Latin decor too. Very impressed & would definitely recommend & return.

Small but perfectly set up. Great atmosphere and happy staff. The coffee was so good we stopped for a second cup. Popular venue so be prepared to walk around the interesting antique shops if busy.

Great place, sandwiches were tasty and there's a lot of good alternative drink options that you don't see in other places. A little on the pricey side though.

We cycled by and turned around as this cafe looked so colourful and funky. I am so happy we did as I had the best espresso I have had here in England so far and a delicious vegan muffin.

Cafe Latino put more colour into Ashburton. Not that Ashburton was ever a droll, drab micro-town. Go in there, see what I mean - Davide, does colour and he is a pretty colourful, open-minded Italian himself. If he isn't working, he has some funky staff making the coffees. This is a coffee shop for Mums, arty locals, and even pensioners seem to respond well too but that is all because of how inclusive the cafe is. It isn't massive but strangely, isn't too loud either and it is easy to have a quiet conversation if needed. Maybe because the owner is the big character here, no one else needs to be competing, so everyone stays well-behaved - who knows. Anyway, drifting away with this review - you've come here for coffee and cake - well, in short, it's all good. Customers are cool and friendly, staff are too. The colours are garish and in your face - but it is all for the sake of fun and life!!! Do it now...!!!

We just had a coffee here and enjoyed it. As the name suggests, it has a South American/Mexian vibe and it's interesting to look around. Nice cakes too!

First time driving through Ashburton and stumbled on this great place. Great vibes and everyone had a smile on their face. Lovely range of cakes.

A lovely place with a quirky vibe, lovely tasting coffee and the food tasted great. The owner has clearly absorbed the Latino experience and brought it to this little town to experience. I would have given it 5 stars but not all of the menu was available to us.

I am a student at the sixth form close by and this is a lovely place to just come and relax, really friendly and kind staff and absolutely amazing coffee, I am going to become quite regular. It is a lush little place.

I visited for the first time yesterday, the coffee was amazing, love the decor, this is a stand out vibrant fun place, the owner has put a lot of work into his vision, staff were lovely very friendly will definitely be back

The cakes were apsolutely amazing and so we're the drinks. We were served quickly and the cafe itself was very vibrant and positive which matched the friendly persona of the staff! Would come again!

Been here a few times, but this is first time I've seen this guy, I suspect is the owner. We had takeaways, and the coffee was nice. They also did soya which was a bonus. However, neither of the people behind the counter were wearing...

Popped in for a cup of tea in the morning. Gentleman really friendly and helpful. After spending a lovely morning in Ashburton we were feeling hungry and popped back for a snack. We both ordered a sausage sandwich. DELICIOUS 😋. Really hit the spot.

Outstanding Decor and Friendly Staff make Cafe Latino a must-visit if you are in Ashburton. The Coffee and Tea is Excellent as are the cakes. Everything served was fresh and beautifully presented. Loved the music that was playing in the Cafe so much when I arrived home I told my smart speaker to play me some Latino tunes so I could carry on the great vibe.

Loved this vibrant cafe. Brief stop for tea, coffee and cakes. The cakes were delicious. I loved the south American inspired decor. If this was local to me I would be a regular visitor. The owner was very friendly and I understand there will be more variety of food available soon. Will visit again and highly recommend.

It's nice when you can take your dog for a coffee and cake and also enjoy a nice place. So many cafes either don't take dogs or shove in the garden . Not at Cafe Latino. We've been a few times now and the coffee is always really good and today we had a warmed cheese scone and a wonderful gooey chocolate cake , both delicious . This is probably the best coffee in Ashburton. I use it mostly as a take away as I’m usually pushed for time but there are also some nice eats here. Very friendly place to stop for a coffee.

Quite possibly the best coffee in the region in a warm, friendly and quirky little cafe. Worth a detour as the old guidebooks used to say - and don't miss the loo 😁.
