The best restaurants serving Italian food in Lawrence Hill Bristol, City of South West

Fantástico almuerzo para llevar focaccia. Elegí el relleno de ensalada caprese con prosciutto añadido. Absolutamente delicioso - casi tan bueno como conseguir esto en Italia.

Located in a rather unlikely location on a small industrial estate, this is a small bar & restaurant attached to the Bianchi’s (Pasta Loco, Pasta Ripiena, etc) kitchen. There is outside seating at the front that has taken over a couple of parking spaces, a small bar counter behind this, and further seating upstairs. It’s all quite basic in feel as befits it’s location, and opening hours are fairly restricted. The menu was chalked on a couple of boards above the bar counter, and there were also some (very nice looking) sausage rolls on display. I opted for the fennel sausage pasta, and this was a decent and tasty dish, and quite a generous portion. Across the table, the salted cod pasta was also well received, with a whole riot of flavours going on, although this was perhaps a little on the small side. The barman was pleasant and friendly. Overall, another solid venue from these guys who can’t seem to put a foot wrong.

Lovely intimate restaurant, fantastic service. Good menu although need to find another bread to use other than panini(bruscheta, garlic bread etc). Had a few drinks so bill was top heavy!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Menu didn’t match the menu I had looked at via Google prior to arriving. I had a vegetarian pasta dish - was tasty. The person I was with had a steak dish, but unfortunately was not asked how he wanted his steak, and as a result was given it too rare. The person I was with was too polite to ask for it to be redone and at the time of ordering, was not asked how he would like the steak done. (We were deep in conversation to even realise his preference for the steak was missed out) So his dish was not eaten and instead was taken home but left in the taxi. (He really didn’t like it) Friendly staff and easy to find.

Served by Rue who provided an excellent service. She was friendly, professional and the best part of the experience. She’d get 5 stars alone. Sadly the rest of the service was especially slow, and we waited around an hour for our food and a good while for our dessert also. I would give it 3 stars if not for Rue.

Burger looked & tasted like it had been grilled the day before & then warmed up in microwave, sent it back & had chicken burger which was the same. I can not believe this place hasn't had more complaints. Who ever is in the kitchen has no idea at all.
