The best restaurants serving Italian food in Abbey Bath and North East Somerset South West

We visited in the last week of October, my partner a gluten allergy but unfortunately the service we received was unacceptable. The waiter asked if my partner had a EpiPen and my partner explained it’s not that type of allergy. He then rudely responded that it wasn’t an allergy and didn’t seem to take it seriously at all which made us both very uncomfortable. Despite this conversation when our food turned up it was clear it wasn’t gluten free. When he came to apologise he said he had a lot on covering other people and forgot which seems unlikely when we had the conversation that we did. After all of this we asked to speak to the manager but they never came to speak to us. Certainly wouldn’t recommend for anyone with a gluten allergy.

Wanted try this place for long time, but unfortunately was really disappointed about the main meal. Ordered focaccina barese and parmigiana. Focaccia was absolutely delicious. Fresh and nicely crispy. Little bit salty - but I usually put lots of salt on everything as well. So was okay for me. But the parmigiana was soo salty, that I couldn’t eat more than two spoons. And as I said, I put lots of salt on everything. But this was far too much even for me.

Absolutely amazing service from Max and Jorja all evening!! Drinks were delicious and food was amazing. Quick and amazing service from both!!!

We come here often when the family get together in Bath. It's a great spot close to the bus and train stations and the food is excellent. Lovely staff - a great place for a chat and excellent food.
