Started off really well, table on the balcony, starters ordered and brought, delicious. Mains ordered, sauce forgotten, sauce hastily made and not too good. Service died off after mains. Waited 20 mins, no one came to take an order for coffee, so we left the table, servers just hanging about. Paid the bill and left - dissatisfied. The decor is in need of a freshen up, flowers dying/dead, scabby paint, decking damaged in places. Food was good, service not so good, decor tired. The location is brilliant, really needs to up its game.

Amazing dinner at Ponte Vecchio. Fabián was the waiter and provided an amazing service. Would highly recommend👍🏼 The lamb Ragú was the best I have had and the Seafood pasta was brilliant.

We went to see the Pulteney bridge, but it was lunch time and we saw this restaurant overlooking the water and decided to stop for lunch. From the minute we walked in we were treated very well. When we were being seated, there was a perfect table for two, inside but next to an open patio door, the kind they would never give you because George Clooney might drop by any minute. Lo and behold, we were taken directly to that perfect table which had a beautiful view of the bridge and the water. We were served by Imogene and Fabian and the restaurant director, Danny, stopped by a few times to make sure everything was ok. Our food was delicious, I had the duck ragu pasta and my husband had the squid ink pasta with king prawns. The pasta had to be homemade because it was perfect. We had a couple of glasses of Italian wine that went wonderfully with the meal and afterward they treated us to a small taste of limoncello.

Very tasty steak and fish, and nice birthday surprise dessert, staff were professional and friendly. Recommended.

Absolutely impeccable! I celebrated my birthday there and the food was delicious, and service outstanding! Thanks for making it such a memorable evening!

Staff were a bit rude on arrival. Not enough seating for our prebooked birthday party and said they didn't have enough tables. Took a while to sort this out and said they hadn't received an email confirming final numbers and menu choices. Settled down after a while though and we had a good time in the end.

Showed up as a walk in and got seated straight away the service 🤌🏼amazinggg can’t say it louder definitely recommend

I was dubious that the restaurant would focus on the location and food would be mediocre. I was wrong. Service was excellent, food and cocktails were outstanding (lamb ragu and lasagne). Thoroughly recommended!

Had a fantastic dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Food and service were exceptional. Recommend the Franciacorta, provides a lovely aperitif to start the evening.

This restaurant beside the river in Bath offers it all, great location, elegant menu, friendly and welcoming staff, and exquisite authentic Italian cuisine. My meal here transported me back to my favourite Trattoria in Ravello. The only place outside of Italy, where I can say I felt like I’d eaten traditional Italian food.

Amazing place, highly recommend! My twin sister and I celebrated our 60th here on a weekend to Bath. We were recommended it by a local, so decided to try it, and we loved it. The food was delicious - I had best lasagne I've had in years, and it was a HUGE portion! My twin sister loved the seafood pasta. The waiters all looked after us so well, spoilt us really - and a big Thank you to Fabian for making it a night to remember, with a rousing Happy Birthday. This is a special place, the atmosphere was happy and uplifting. And if/when I return to Bath, I would DEFINITELY go back here. You're lucky to have this place in Bath.

First time trying beef tartare - thought it was bland to say the least, so the waiter gave me some mustard; even added some salt and pepper. Unfortunately there was no way of reviving the dead cow. Dessert was decent. Seabass was nice. The roast potatoes were overcooked - a real shame considering all the praises the server lavished on the chef beforehand. Service was top-notch. The happy anniversary message on my wife's dessert was a nice touch! Staff were a bit pushy to get me to take shots of limoncello (ended up giving in to the peer pressure lol) - it was decent. Food is a bit overpriced. In the end the staff took the potatoes and dessert off the bill so big up the mandem for that!!

I really like that place and food was looks amazing but on my mushroom risotto l had just 3 dry mushroom on top.

Lovely food, very pleasant clean surroundings, staff are very helpful, and next door to Bath rugby. The wine and beer was also superb.

Absolutely wonderful, staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming, and the food was astounding, the steak just melted in my mouth, and the wife loved her lasagne, definitely recommend, and we're going back when next in Bath.

My brother and I went out for a wednesday lunch here, and it was such great ambience. Food was absolutely delicious, service was great, presentation and portion size also good. All around a 5 star experience and great vibe for dining. Grazie Mille to Fabian and Alex our lovely waiters, can’t wait to come back for another taste of the best Bath has to offer!

5 stars? Not quite our experience. We went for an anniversary dinner while on holiday from the US. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but far from the view when there were plenty of seats on the windows and the dining room was half full. The servers were kind and helpful, yet inexperienced, and kept rushing us to order our main dishes. They seemed disorganized. Our food arrived quickly. Appetizers were olives, breaded mozzarella and bread. All were good. For mains, I had the blue mare risotto and my husband the ravioli with feta and walnuts. My risotto was under seasoned but a generous portion, and his ravioli portion was very small and the dish somewhat cold. We had the tiramisu for dessert, which was so overpowered with the coffee liqueur, it lacked sweetness. A shame as their signature dessert. On the plus side, we had fun with our waiter Omar, who shared it was his second day there, because he took efforts to get us good answers to our questions if he didn’t know. He was actually the best part of the experience.

Came to visit bath and I must say this restaurant ruined my whole family’s mood- all dishes were small proportions and very overpriced, they weren’t filling at all and they weren’t that special, this place wasn’t worth it at all, I wouldn’t come back here ever again. Service was weird as well, I don’t want to say rude but definitely different. Quite disappointing- edit I have seen ur reply and I don’t know why I can’t reply to your reply but the gaslighting is real this picture I have taken it myself and this meal as well was also from a month ago?? So I don’t understand what youre trying to prove- this just explains further the treatment and service we received in the restaurant… I have added another photo just for you to prove I have taken this photo! This was a month ago exactly so don’t start saying stuff. Food was mid service was bad prices were even worse for the food and proportions given. Thank you very much and maybe next time don’t try gaslighting me.

Fabulous pasta dishes, and it's great to see an Italian restaurant that doesn't rely on pizza. Our food was delicious, we had 3 different mains between us and all were excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and helpful. I'm not sure about disabled access, though, so check before booking, in the summer tables outside should be ok. Very much enjoyed our visit and will certainly return. We did! And it was still just as good and we will come again on our next visit.

Delicious food, great atmosphere

We visited as a large party for a Hen celebration and pre ordered from a 2 course set menu. We were greeted warmly on arrival and the service throughout was excellent. All the meals came out quickly and we're beautifully presented. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Would whole heartedly recommend and will be back for sure.

It is an authentic italian restaurant experience, you are served like in a 5 star restaurant here. The food is 5 star as well i wanted to take pictures of all courses but only managed to get a snap of the cheescake, presentation is superb, taste is sublime. Daniele the owner was there and served us as well, very well mannered gentlmen and will make sure you have the best experience at his restaurant. I warn you this is a place you will drive hours to come back to because it is just that good, I know I will ;) Grazie Daniele!

Super Italian restaurant overlooking the River below Pulteney Bridge. Friendly staff.

We had dinner here after a recommendation from a friends and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect with a view of the river and Pulteney bridge, the staff were super friendly and the food was incredible!

Wonderful place to eat, special occasions or just catching up with friends. Food was BEAUTIFUL!! ate every last thing on the plate was delicious. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Dined here as part of a birthday celebration. The restaurant itself is located next to the river with beautiful views. The waiting staff are friendly and accommodating. For starter, I had the caprese and my partner had the calamonki, both I felt were expensive for a starter at over £10 each, but when they came to the table, the portions were huge! You definitely felt like you got your moneys worth. Before going for dinner I was looking forward to ordering the lasagne for my main, which came with an intriguing cheese fondue… sadly I was unable to order this as the dish contained pork, which I do not eat. The team were able to accommodate a small ramekin of the cheese fondue so I didn’t feel I was missing out and it was absolutely delicious. The portions again for the main course were so huge that we actually felt we didn’t need the sides we had ordered to go with it. By the time we got to dessert, we were so full that we ordered one dessert to share. We ordered the mezza luna which was a milk chocolate mousse covered in tempered white chocolate, served with chocolate soil and berry compote. It was lovely! The only downside is by the time we got to our tea and coffee, there was no decaffeinated option for tea. Thank you Ponte Vecchio for a lovely experience.

There are few restaurants I give 5 stars to, my friend recommended me this restaurant ages ago. And now I am upset that I didn't come here sooner. The service and atmosphere is amazing, you feel very welcomed the minute you walk through the door. The food is just out of this world. So I definitely will recommend to anyone who wants amazing food in Bath, this is the place!

We recently visited Bath and decided to book Ponte Vecchio for an evening treat, as I love Italian food. My partner is incredibly fussy and when I say he was stunned by how amazing our dinner was, he was in awe. The food tasted amazing, the service was second to none and the atmosphere was wonderful. This delightful restaurant is placed in the most picturesque spot beside the river. Definitely one to try! You won't be disappointed.

Food was lovely and it is obvious that the chef has imagination and enjoys their work! The staff were lovely and the evening was a lovely way to round off my birthday - the staff even added a lit birthday candle to my dessert, which was a lovely and unexpected touch! Thank you xx

My Wife and I had a fantastic meal at Ponte Vecchio and cannot recommend this restaurant high enough. Had a very warm welcome on arrival and after pursuing the menu we made our choice. We shared the CalaMonki (hope I spelled it correctly) which is unsurprisingly Calamari with Monkfish and for mains I had Lasagna and my Wife had Sea Bass and Shrimp Ravioli. All the food was excellent, well presented with decent portions, believe me you won’t leave feeling hungry! For dessert we both had the Pistachio Panna Cotta which was delicious. All in all a throughly enjoyable meal. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you. On leaving every staff member we passed wished us a good night, they deserve a lot of praise.

We had fun celebrating our birthday here. Sea Bass ravioli is absolutely top notch. The waiter keeps checking on us. Absolutely amazing experience for both of us

The restaurant is located at a very beautiful location next to the river. Is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Service was very good and friendly. We sat close to the kitchen where was a bit busy. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the food, don’t know if it’s pre made and adding the sauces last minute before serving it, I don’t want to make any assumptions though. We believe is expensive for the food is serving but, the location, the atmosphere and the service are really good.

100% recommend here. Fantastic food and catered for me being gluten and dairy intolerant , and the food still tasted amazing. Great service as well, everyone really friendly and helpful.

This was one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten. From the moment we arrived the service was superb. Everyone made you feel so welcome. Every item we had was amazing. The wine recommendation was fantastic. The restaurant is warm and very romantic. Definitely will be our go to restaurant in Bath.

Lovely position and good menu. Service very good but my dairy free option turned up but was immediately taken away as contained milk. When it arrived my 2 companions had finished theirs and mine could have been cooked a little longer. The temperature in the restaurant was at a chilly level. My 2 companions enjoyed their food

The location is lovely and the staff first rate. My monkfish and calamari starter was a tale of two half's. The calamari and sauces were lovely, the monkfish so overcooked it had no body or texture left. Wife's polpette were very good I'm told (no chance of her sharing those!) Mains, my blush risotto was tasty and plentiful seafood. Lacked a touch of seasoning. Wife's arrabbiata was by far the hottest we've ever tried. Far too punchy and my wife couldn't finish it. Overall it's nice, but it's not great.

This is the 2nd time we hve visited Bath for the Christmas Market & booked again at ths amazing restaurant. Food is delicious. I chose the duck leg & it melted in my mouth. Our friends also hd 'the best steak ever' & a delicious seafood ravioli. Desserts were lovely too. Really wish this restaurant was near where we live to try out the other dishes

Me and my partner adored this restaurant We visited Bath for the Christmas Markets and were hoping for a lovely Italian restaurant and this didn't disappoint. We got the lamb ragu and the ravioli, both were impeccable. The tiramisu was also delicious and a generous portion. The service was really lovely, the manager made an effort to visit every table and each waitress would make the effort to chat between taking orders or clearing plates which made us feel really comfortable and welcome. My only gripes would be the garlic bread was a little disappointing and the ravioli could have been bigger But don't let this put you off, we couldn't recommend more!

Maria, our waitress couldn't have been any nicer, nothing was too much trouble. My chicken and mushroom main was incredible and had potatoes with it was is very unusual in an Italian restaurant. Great atmosphere and wonderful setting near the weir too.
