Had my birthday dinner with my friend here, it was such an amazing experience that everyone is so nice, serving is perfect, India and wiktoria were being very generous and sing a birthday song for us. Also it is so kind to add decorations in my cake haha! The food was 20 out 10!!! I was wordless because it was my first lasagna but I can tell they take every detail of the food carefully which makes it sooo delicious! Thank you for everyone who gave me such a wonderful experience in here as a person who is away from home and I felt like home today with the warm services. I wish you all the best and marry Christmas!

I came with my partner for dinner, it is located in a beautiful place. We ordered the venison and cuttlefish pasta, the food was incredibly good, the portions were generous. For dessert we ordered the cannolo cheesecake and the panacota, they were exquisite, the cheesecake was highly recommended. Attentive, friendly service. A wonderful experience, we highly recommend it and we will definitely return. 10/10

Absolutely amazing dining experience, Exceptional food, from starter to dessert, I had the buffala cheeseballs, and lasagne for a main! It was beautiful! The cherry on the cake was the canollo cheesecake! Great customer service, very attentive and gracious! 10/10

Came as a group of 6, Food was incredible, staff was incredible damn near all were Italian which was amazing. The head chef(I think) was the best and was telling us stories from his past in Italy all around just a great place.

The only regret I have is that we didn't come here every night we'd stayed in Bath. Excellent food, Wine and service. We got here half an hour before our booking but they were very accommodating and gave us a choice of two tables. My partner had the lasagne and she said it was delicious. I had the Bruchetta starter, a big bowl of pasta with prawns and a panna cotta desert.. because it was my birthday. All of which were perfect. Thank you Fabi and Alex, you were great. Highly recommend this restaurant and if we find ourselves in Bath again in the future, we shall be returning.

Have to share - booked a table based on the reviews, and wow! Make sure to say yes to the olives, they’re served with small lime and lemon wedges that make such a difference. We then had the focaccia and the smoothest burrata we’ve ever tasted, the squid ink pasta and seafood risotto, finished off with the caprese cake and tiramisu. We’ll definitely be coming back - not only is the food incredible, but Fabio and Melody took such good care of us. Our table overlooked the Pulteney bridge as well! Perfect romantic evening out!

Restaurant in an idyllic riverside location in the center of Bath. Without a doubt the best thing about the restaurant, its food. Everything we ordered from the starters to the dessert was very good. The service is where the restaurant limps, it may be that it was a coincidence that the staff who served us had bad luck and little experience but the Spanish waitress who works there ended up saving the furniture by doing an impeccable job, very attentive and helpful. The pistachio mouse for dessert is undoubtedly the best. In terms of quality-price, it is more expensive than the quality and service of a restaurant of those characteristics anywhere else.

Beautiful dinner spot and location is pretty to walk by the river upon arriving. Waiters were so friendly and welcoming making our time very pleasant. The squid ink pasta with prawns was extremely yummy, as well as the seafood pasta that my partner and I shared. We enjoyed our time and will return on our next trip to bath. Many thanks Emily

We’re from an Italian family and this is the best Italian food we have discovered in the UK. Fantastic service each time. Fabio recognizes us each time and treats us like royalty. Restaurant has great views right on the water too! We always book this place ahead of time to secure a table any time we’re in bath. Always a fantastic and special experience thanks to great food and Fabio’s hospitality.

I dined at the Ponte Vecchio in early November. We had a delicious meal. The service was excellent, Theo in particular was attentive, charming and impeccably smart.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough, the food is excellent. Also, Theo, our waiter for the evening was exceptional.

We visited in the last week of October, my partner a gluten allergy but unfortunately the service we received was unacceptable. The waiter asked if my partner had a EpiPen and my partner explained it’s not that type of allergy. He then rudely responded that it wasn’t an allergy and didn’t seem to take it seriously at all which made us both very uncomfortable. Despite this conversation when our food turned up it was clear it wasn’t gluten free. When he came to apologise he said he had a lot on covering other people and forgot which seems unlikely when we had the conversation that we did. After all of this we asked to speak to the manager but they never came to speak to us. Certainly wouldn’t recommend for anyone with a gluten allergy.

Beautiful setting, good atmosphere, friendly staff and yummy food! Had a really lovely meal at Ponte Vecchio and my partner said that the porchetta was exceptional, melt in the mouth with a crispy exterior! I really enjoyed my meal, although, I did notice my mussels were very small and a bit grainy, the table next to me had beautiful large plump mussels which the chap kept commenting were absolutely amazing. I must have received a different batch as none of mine from my starter or my main were the big plump mussels he received so I did feel a tad disappointed by that as visually they looked very appealing. However, I still enjoyed my meal greatly, the flavours were lovely and I have to say the burrata starter with onion puree was a delicious surprise. It’s clear the head chef Valeria puts a lot of love in to the menu and the food!

A delightful surprise find in Bath, where there is so much choice. Home cooked Italian recipes, made and served with love. The flavours are delicious, the service professional and friendly, the atmosphere enticing and convivial. A very classy establishment, right on the river bank. Oh but the food, the food, the flavours, heavenly! Thank you Fabio and all at Ponte Vecchio for such a wonderful dinner. It took me back to my holiday in Firenze. A place to return again and again. Exceptional meal at Ponte Vecchio. I took my son out for lunch today, visiting him at Bath Uni. We were warmly greeted, the decor in the restaurant is lovely, with great views of the river. Both meals were delicious - the lamb Raghu and wild boar. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back. Thank you!

Fabio makes the most perfect strawberry mojitos and gives the most amazing service I had the best meal ever and really can’t thank Fabio enough for the drinks he served.

This is one of the BEST restaurant I have EVER been to. The food is absolutely spectacular- better than many in Italy itself! And the service? It’s amazing. You feel so looked after and cared for. I cannot recommend a restaurant more.

When travelling abroad, we usually do not go to Italian restaurants. This time we made an exception because of the location. Not only the location was spectacular, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly (and the price honest). We actually felt as at home. By far our favorite dining experience in Bath! Not only was the food incredible (venison was top notch), but the service was homely and fun. Theo greeted us and the kitchen stayed open late as we walked in near closing time. Theo is an amazing server and also storyteller, highly recommend both!

What an amazing experience we’ve just had at Ponte Vecchio! The location is fantastic, overlooking Pulteney Bridge and a waterfall. The food was amazing and service was first class. We came here for my girlfriend’s birthday meal and she wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be returning next time we visit Bath!

Where to start....! If you haven't been you're missing out. What an absolute gem of a restaurant. We have tried many Italian restaurants in the area but decided to try Ponte Vecchio for the first time for our first wedding anniversary. We had 3 courses and all were fantastic. The staffs recommendations were spot on. Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

An atmospheric Italian close to the river; one way to get there involves steps down from Pulteney Bridge, and the dining room is upstairs. Food very good quality, my tempura battered fish starter and saffron risotto both first class. The waitress flailed a bit when quizzed on ingredients, but not a real issue. Two courses, with one Aperol Spritz, two pints and some water, came in at £102 including 11% service charge.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, best restaurant experience we've had in Bath. The special starter were scallops which were cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce, for mains we had steak and a huge piece of salmon, both were amazing. The canoli cheesecake, which I definitely did not need, but wanted was heavenly. The violet fizz cocktails were lovely and the wine devine! Great to be told about the sourcing of food and we could see how well the staff were treated too. 100% back for next years anniversary. Ciao!

Great service and delicious Italian food. I had the venison fillet with forest fruits - tender and perfectly cooked with a balanced flavour.

The perfect lunch in bath. We went to Ponte Vecchio on our way out of bath and it was the perfect capstone to our trip. The service was amazing and the food was even better. We had the burrata and carbonara and it was on par with the best meals we had in Rome. Could not recommend more. Get a lemoncello spritz and enjoy the views of the river Avon.

Fabian and the team were superb. I was just passing by and stopped for a beer, but stayed for food. Brushetta was fab, very fresh tomato’s Restaurant was beautiful but I loved sitting outside listening to the music and river.

This is an outstanding restaurant! The food was simply magnificent and service and ambience was spectacular. It was a highlight of our stay in Bath. We were in Bath for a day today and saw the ambience and said we would like to eat here. We were happy to sit down with our 2 dogs. The bruschetta was super tasty, but it could have been more. The lasagna was very stylish and tasted like a good lasagne 👍. The service was nice and friendly.

What can I say? After eight whole days without pasta it was a matter of life or death… and I couldn't have made a better choice! Superlative carbonara (and as Christ commands) and assortment of Italian cheeses accompanied by grapes, figs, honey and top crackers. Well-kept environment, impeccable service and, the icing on the cake, the friendliness and affability of Daniele, the owner 👍🏻

Worst spag bowl ever, no flavour no sauce or onions just a tiny bit of meat and pasta would not recommend

Pasta had no flavour might as well have paid £18 for some air on a plate. Could genuinely doodoo out a better pasta dish plus £14 service charge is a madness… would not reccomend

Started off really well, table on the balcony, starters ordered and brought, delicious. Mains ordered, sauce forgotten, sauce hastily made and not too good. Service died off after mains. Waited 20 mins, no one came to take an order for coffee, so we left the table, servers just hanging about. Paid the bill and left - dissatisfied. The decor is in need of a freshen up, flowers dying/dead, scabby paint, decking damaged in places. Food was good, service not so good, decor tired. The location is brilliant, really needs to up its game.

We went to see the Pulteney bridge, but it was lunch time and we saw this restaurant overlooking the water and decided to stop for lunch. From the minute we walked in we were treated very well. When we were being seated, there was a perfect table for two, inside but next to an open patio door, the kind they would never give you because George Clooney might drop by any minute. Lo and behold, we were taken directly to that perfect table which had a beautiful view of the bridge and the water. We were served by Imogene and Fabian and the restaurant director, Danny, stopped by a few times to make sure everything was ok. Our food was delicious, I had the duck ragu pasta and my husband had the squid ink pasta with king prawns. The pasta had to be homemade because it was perfect. We had a couple of glasses of Italian wine that went wonderfully with the meal and afterward they treated us to a small taste of limoncello.

A place to come back for sure! I was in Bath for a day with my family and went here for dinner. The atmosphere is amazing, very cozy and super welcoming staff! The food is no less as we enjoyed every course we had (antipasti, first course, second course and dessert so basically the whole menu!). 100% a place to come back or go if you’re in the city!

My partner and I came here for a birthday dinner and were met with the loveliest and most welcoming staff. Despite being an hour early to our reservation we were offered a table wherever we liked. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was phenomenal, and after stuffing ourselves through two courses in only 40 minutes (because it was THAT good), we were congratulated and left with a high-five. We will definitely be coming back, highlight of the trip!

Fantastic place. Very good authentic Italian cuisine. They also put a little of their own spin on the food, so even well known dishes become interesting new things to discover. For example they put fondue cheese sauce over their lasagna for amazing effect. Highly recommended.

We had dinner in this delightful restaurant located on Pulteney Bridge, with a terrace overlooking the riverside. The place is really very nice and welcoming, we immediately felt at home thanks to the attention of all the staff and the welcome given to us by Daniele. Also suitable for families, in fact we had dinner with our two children who appreciated everything (bearing in mind that they have difficult tastes), and the food is excellent and quick. To start we took a platter from the bridge, with very good cold cuts and cheeses, followed by my daughter and I ate an excellent spaghetti with clams with homemade pasta, my son a spaghetti with tomato which he really appreciated and my wife a tagliatelle truly exquisite! Thanks again and congratulations to all the staff and the owner! P.s.: while I was writing the review, my 8 year old daughter suggested that I write that the bathrooms are very clean!!! (And I add, something not to be underestimated given that in the UK it is difficult to find clean ones!)

Really good authentic cuisine. We only had bruschetina, focaccia and fried mozzarella balls, but everything was great. Great tomatoes on the bruschetina and wonderful tomato sauce. The barman really impressed us. The Limocello Spritz was well filled and delicious. Likewise the old fashion. Everyone was very friendly and it's a perfect place with children next to the labyrinth garden. They can play and parents can relax in a great atmosphere. Thank you 🙏

The food was decent but I had a hankering for some basic spaghetti carbonara, alas I settled for a basic lasagne. Their cheesecake was tasy though it was a fairly thin slice. It was a bit expensive but their view from their balcony is very nice (might be even better in the winter when the trees have no leaves). The staff were very attentive and regularly checked the tables around us.

Visted here for a birthday looking forward as the reviews seemed promising The staff were a bit huffy as they had to accomodate a large party and move table together. And they were quite instant that we had a limited time in the resturant. Orders were taken promptly and the food arrived in good time. I found the lamb ragu pasta not piping hot but i accepted that it was a large table order. I found the pasta was over cooked and not al dente as we are lead to belive is the way to serve pasta. The portion was on the small side and i felt the depth of flavour was not there. Because of the occasion i didnt want to cause any fuss as i didnt want to upset the birtday girl. Ok they may have had an off day as it sometimes happens ro the best of us. But on reflection i wont be rushing back

Being an older member of society , I have been to a number of Italian restaurants, it's not the worst I've been to , but I found the menu lacking, no veal, no pizza, no cannelloni, no calzone, Not a regular customer in site, every single table had a birthday ! I'm sorry but I would not go again.

Staff were a bit rude on arrival. Not enough seating for our prebooked birthday party and said they didn't have enough tables. Took a while to sort this out and said they hadn't received an email confirming final numbers and menu choices. Settled down after a while though and we had a good time in the end.
