The best restaurants serving Italian food in Central Darlington North East

Fabulous cheeseboard and Will was the hostess with the mostess when he came over and explained what each cheese and accompaniment was. Lovely wine at atmosphere and a must try. Oh, and the Baileys coffee was to die for. Well done Sortie!

What an amazing find! Truly under rated venue. A real find for every traveler. Starter main and afters were amazing. Nice comfortable setting.

Having been to the Ingleby Al Forno we decided to try this one out as it is closer to our home and Ingleby had left a good impression on us. Though the Ingleby Restaurant is great, there is nothing special about this one. The mood of the Staff in general seemed to be quite bored and uninterested, the food tastes like something I could easily make at home myself, the furnishings we were seated at didn't seem to have been cleaned very well before we sat down and our chairs were wonky. On top of all this the Bathroom was so small that I could barely close the door. So my recommendation is that if you are going to an Al Forno Restaurant just travel the extra 10 or so minutes to Ingleby Barwick. If you are just in Darlington and looking for a Restaurant you can do much better anywhere else on Skinnergate and there are even better Italian Restaurants on this Street too (There is even one immediately next door). Overall: a perfectly plain, boring and over-priced Restaurant. There is no reason to choose this location over any other on the same Street.
