The restaurant was very peaceful when we arrived for dinner, and even then, the food took a bit longer than expected to arrive. However, the food was delicious, and the coffee was quite flavorful. The waitress was very attentive and prompt. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, and I would highly recommend it.

Amazing service and food. The staff were so good and apologised for the wait (which wasn't even long at all). Clearly have very high standards and really care/ look after the customers. Will be back very soon. Thanks again to everyone who was on shift 😄

Unfortunately, despite the positive reviews on both Google and the application through which we ordered this pizza, we were very disappointed. The pizzas that are in the reviews and in the photos when ordering for delivery are heaven and earth compared to what we got, the pizza looked and tasted like some kind of frozen food, getting something like that from a restaurant with Italia in the name - a failure. Cheese that didn't even melt. I'm attaching a photo because I don't even know how to describe it, the ready-made pizzas from the store are better than what we got. Fortunately, I had a discount and we paid £5 for this pizza, because if I had paid £12/13 for such a pizza, it would definitely have been complained about. The pizza is edible, but if I bought it in a store and not at a pizzeria. Maybe there's a mistake, I don't know, because it looks completely different in the photos in other reviews.

Absolutely lovely, staff were friendly and the food came promptly

We came in and were served quickly. The restaurant was packed but our food was there in good time and to a high standard, as well as being large portion sizes for a cheap price. Will definitely be coming back!

Ordered at 17:09 it arrived 19:03! Nearly two hours for two Luke warm pizzas.Constant pushing of ETA. I had to ring the restaurant. They clearly prioritised seated customers. Took several attempts to get through. It was my daughter’s birthday and she asked for pizza. She was so hungry she started to cry had to giver her an apple and a frozen pizza. Such a downer to a great day.I was so annoyed. Complete lack of communication from just eat and Bella Italia. Will never use either again.

My family and I ordered a pizza amongst other food items. The vegetarian pizza came with a drizzle on it that my wife did not like. The staff there were more than happy to make us a new pizza from fresh. This wasn't out experience in other establishments so well done you guys. Keep up the good work.

The ever helpful and friendly Lauren made this a great visit. We were served quickly as we told Lauren that we were going to the cinema so a bit rushed. Food was good and Lauren was chatty but professional.

Bella Italia was amazing. All of the staff were so attentive and our food was delivered to us quickly and our drinks immediately. I was very impressed by the standard of the food. I had the carbonara and it was amazing. I would totally reccomend going here the staff are so kind.

We have a lovely time at Bella. I myself am coeliac and find choices very good so that is a pleasure in itself. It also caters well for my two boys 6 and 10 and the kids choices are good that we can get a smaller meal so there is less waste.

Went yesterday evening arrived checked in with a smile sat down table dirty asked them to clean it waited ages for drinks order then again to take food order we had seen the starter sat on the top for probably 20 mins we got it it was overdone then mains came was overdone again I had to go to the bar to get more drinks wasn’t asked and we had seen people walking out from been ignored people Getting 25 percent of food and free drinks because of the chaos everywhere but the girls still managed to text on there phones in between serving customers we arrived at 6.50 left 9.20 for a simple 2 course meal 😂 was funny to watch it was like faulty towers in 2024 can honestly say we will not be returning 😂

Food was average, Staff were polite but had a long wait for ordering and then another long wait for the food to arrive. Mens toilets had a faulty tap on the sink that had leaked over the floor

Was tempted to pick up the £10 me & my daughter left for a tip. Was sat down passed a menu no communication only are you ready to order after 1 minute no thank when leavinh you no did you enjoy your meal no nothing the 2 women serving in a empty restaurant were to busy chatting at the bar even the chef shouted out service ti grab there attention . Actually the chef did say hello & good evening when we was walking into the restaurant as he was having a break outside. Off putting a simple hello would not hurt deffinatly would not go back due to bad manners.

The team were fabulous! I have ceoliac disease and require gluten free food and the options were amazing!

Overall bad experience. Staff seem great however service was terrible waited almost 40 minutes in between staters and mains. Bearing in mind there was only 4 other tables in the restaurant. We were never asked how was our food, or anything else? Nothing. Just sat with empty drinks and empty plates. Wouldn’t visit again. Other franchises are great, not this one.

We sat for 25 minutes and only got drink when we asked at the bar . Only 2 girls serving . Food tasted good but I vomited later in the evening . Rowdy family next to us and management did nothing the family had a food fight till food came flying into my meal . Lucky I had finished . Management should have put a stop to them before it spoilt our meal . We would not go back .

It's a standard Bella Italia. We mainly came as this chain tends to be quite good for coeliacs and gluten free options, and no one felt ill after eating. The gluten free pizza and brownie were lovely. Ambience leaves a bit to be desired, and it felt a bit understaffed, but nothing too bad.

Regular customers, food is really good and quick service. Lauren our server was very friendly and kind.

Decided to try this place for our anniversary and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was and how lovely and attentive the staff were. Our server Lauren was cheerful and friendly and gave us a shot on the house to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice touch, very much appreciated. Highly recommend this delightful place!

The manager was extremely pleasant which made it a good experience.

Very welcoming and friendly staff especially Amber always cheerful and smiling ,really excellent food especially the garlic mushroom starter, the lasagna is in my opinion the best in the north east.

We have been to this bella Italia a few times, always been great until yesterday, my daughters pasta was pasta mixed with cheese and water, she wouldn't eat it, the waitress was excellent and apologised we got another plate of pasta with sauce on this time, she reduced the cost of the bill also,after finishing out meal, I witnessed one of the ‘chefs’ eat a sandwich over the other while he was preparing food, he then put his bare hands into spaghetti assuming (cold) thats left out to preheat, I could see where the hand wash was located where I was sitting and he didnt wash his hands between eating his sandwich and preparing someones meal, me and my husband have 26 years between us as chefs this was like watching EHO’s dream, im not sure why he isnt aware of a big window the restaurant can see you from, hope ge doesnt make anyone sick!

Rather paltry servings for the price. Chap phoned as he couldn't find 33, I said can you see 32, which is a house nextdoor to my block of flats. He kept saying he saw 32 and wanted me to go outside to see if I saw him. I'm disabled, but also suffering from a viral cold. I was in my pj's and did not relish going outside. I did stand at the flat door though, talking him through walking down 30 feet to get to my door.

Value for money = poor. Pizza arrived cold and Garlic Dough Balls were cold although the chips arrived hot strangely, so work that one out? Anyway definitely won't be ordering here again. Delivery - On time and Driver - polite.

the ciabatta garlic bread was closer to deep fried cardboard than food and was not edible to me. the spaghetti bolognese taste was was quite nice and was enjoyable but the portion size was somewhat lacking. considering the price for the total order it really wasn't worth it.

We sat down and waited ages for our order to be taken and they finally came for our food order to then realise we had been sat all thos rime not been asked to orderna drink. Starters were OK. Mains pizzas x3 had hardly any cheese and were dry. Pasta x 4 2 of which were carbonarra both of our party members said it was tasteless. One carbonarra was forgotten and the table had half eaten their meals by the time it was ready. When the missing meal was ready we sat looking at it waiting to be collected and brought to the table. We went and fot it ourselves. 10 mins later we finally saw somone to request black pepper to Tey to add some flavour. Service was dire and it was by no means busy. There was onenl cook, one barstaff, ine waiting staff and somone who seemed to be in charge and didn't seem to be very organised. There was no atmosphere and it was cold. Our birthday cake was brought out and then we had to hunt for Starr again to ask for side plates. All told it was overpriced even with our nhs discount. No atmosphere. Tastless and service dreadful. We wont be going back.

Visting Darlington on Business and going to the Theatre I needed somewhere to eat. It was empty at 4pm and I was met with a friendly young woman who was happy to chat a nd take my order. I wasn't impressed with this food chain a year or so ago (different location). The food was very nice.

Chips wear slightly undercooked and garlic ciabatta was rock hard and far to greasy

Absolutely love this place! Super accommodating for my allergy and the range of food that's offered for G.f is brilliant. The G.F options are such high quality, I would return for that alone but another thing that stands out is the service. Every staff member we've come into contact with have been lovely. Staff remembered me and my husband and when we returned with our young daughter, were keen to come meet her and say high. The staff really can't do enough for you. The venue was also really easy to get my daughters push chair around and the changing facilities really clean and even had a small amount of baby wipes etc just in case - we can't wait to return.

It was very overpriced. Lasagne is just that! No salad, or accompaniment, just lasagne in a dish. Other food was very basic and portions were extremely small for the cost. I wouldn’t return. Restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon. Service was good, waitress was lovely

Food just rubbish looked dry and warmed up! Barely warm. Not enough cheese on pizza! We were the only 2 in there so it should have been spot on! Staff lovely only reason I did not complain! And very clean.

3 adults and two children. Walked in, seated quickly as not busy, Saturday afternoon. Food is expensive and you have to now pay for sauces to go with the overpriced food. Limited menu if you don't like tomato based foods. Starters were nice. 3 pizzas ordered, and they were average. Starters ordered as couldnt find a main worththe moneyor without tomato base. Pizzas average and had better from dominos. Had to ask a couple of times for the sauces to be delivered before the pizza had been eaten. Wouldn't bother to go to this chain again.

Had pizza with chicken and mushrooms. Thick with salt , it was inedible. Paid and left . I’m still drinking water to alleviate the after effects .

Casual but lovely italian, looked after very well by Amber. Our group of 16 had pre ordered, meaning everything was smooth and on time. Tasty food, could do with some different Italian draught lagers.... But a sweet pre theatre early dinner space. Thankyou

Amazing food and service,all the staff,would go back again 😄 from our son Ethan (11yrs) The staff couldn't of been more helpful and totally accommodating our requests as our son has sensory issues and didn't like some of the ingredients which they were more than happy to change.
