Really lovely pizza, and very cosy atmosphere. Service was also excellent. Nothing to fault - really good!

Food was really nice, however service was not good. I had booked this for an anniversary meal, requested a bottle of sparkling rose wine on the table, but when we entered I gave details and was just told to choose any table for 2. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time, an elderly gentleman came in while we were there and a couple of take out customers. We had to ask for a dessert menu as we seemed to be ignored more and more, the delivery guys from whatever app they use got more conversation from the staff than we did. Very disappointed in the service despite the food being great.

Piccos is a firm family favourite. Love everything about it. During the Covid era myself and my daughter went to pick up some pizzas we had ordered. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited and the chef/owner was so lovely and chatty, telling us the story of why margarita pizzas have their name. When ordered for delivery they are always hot and fresh, but eating in the restaurant is even better. Always a lovely vibe - small and friendly restaurant with friendly staff. Extra little touches like a lemon san pellegrino “shot” for the kids alongside the limoncello ones for the adults. Today I had pasta (lasagne) instead of pizza and it was really delicious.

Authentic Italian pizza, looks like pizza, tastes like pizza and much better quality ingredients than any other pizza I have had in Darlington.

The owner had very bad attitude towards customers, not a good place and never come back.

I went to celebrate my wife birthday and i have one year old son apparently waiters said my son making too much noise despite kid being kid had to leave after staff and owner being soo disrespectful to us .

Cosy pizzeria with friendly service and good pizzas. Only 11 tables. Had four pizzas a large wine, a pint of beer and side for £58 plus service.

First time ordering from here and I must say the pizza was piping hot and really tasty. The chips where thick and chunky and also piping hot. The only let down was the onion rings which were not cooked long enough. I will defo be ordering from here again. Brilliant service and excellent food

Went to Picco to have a catch up with my girls and I can’t express enough how amazing our experience at Picco was! From the vibes, the food, drinks to the staff. Pizza dough very delicious. Although, I think instead of goat cheese, they used Camembert? so pizza didn’t taste as good as it was last time.

Pizzas and chips are outstanding and the customer service is fabulous, a real gem. I wouldn't usually comment on chips but they are known to be the best in town, they really are too.

I had calamari which I nearly broke my tooth on. Worst I’ve even had. It was so overcooked I couldn’t put my fork in to cut it… it just shattered into 2. Absolutely no taste or texture to the actual calamari. Wasn’t served with lemon… I had to ask for some. Not offered so we asked for salt and pepper - none came so we went and got it ourselves. Then I had chicken and ham penne pasta which was nice but no offer of Parmesan or black pepper etc which I think is poor. Cleared 5 out of the 6 plates but forgot about the last one and left it there for another half hour. Not great. I am unlikely to return.

We have walked past this place so many times and decided to give it a go. Just WOW, we absolutely loved the food and service. A hidden gem, that more people should know about. I was with my family of 7 and unanimously we all said we need to go back. Great value for money.

Accidentally discovered this place with two hungry toddlers on a Saturday evening. What a find! Excellent fresh authentic pizza made in front of you. Kids can roll out their own dough (nice touch). Nice staff and atmosphere. Reasonable prices compared to the outrageous causal dining chain restaurants. 100% will visit again.

My friend and I visited after being told it was nice. It was diabolical. Went in and sat down tried to order drinks but everything we asked for they didn't have. We got our starter which was nothing to right home about. We didn't stay for our main meal. They were more interested in the Uber Eats side of the business. Three or 4 deliveries were also being made up whilst we were eating. People coming and going all the time. We went somewhere else and the service was faultless

This place is run by the best pizza chef about.! We visit once a week and the fresh pizzas made in front of your eyes are the best ever! Plus for children they can make their own pizza from scratch for only £4.95. My daughter loves rolling out the dough and choosing her own toppings. Great selection of sides and drinks on tap! Also price is very cheap! Well done 🤌🏻

I have been to Italy in restaurant known as best pizzeria in Naples- not even close as good as the one in Picco in Darlongton. Tried loads of pizzas in countries and UK and need to admit best pizza so far I had in my life. My family and friends think alike Recommend to all!

Excellent pizza's, we were a party of 9,and all the meals arrived almost together. Excellent,attentive waiting staff remembered who had ordered what. Great with the children. A special evening out,and the pizza's really are excellent.

I travelled from Doncaster tonight to visit family. I decided to take my wife for a Italian, we came across picco, and I must say this place is absolutely amazing, very friendly staff beutifull relaxed atmosphere And exellent food we had a 3 course and all 3 where absolutely delicious, I wish we had this qaulity establishment in Doncaster. I will definitely visit again on my next family visit.

Went for dinner last week. It was SO cold you could see your breath in the restaurant. Had to wear thick coat. Knife almost stuck to your hand. Food got cold within minutes of arrival. Dude, if your heating breaks or you chose not to turn it on you should really tell people - because it was actually really unpleasant waiting for our food. Almost like sitting outside. Not exaggerating - it was Really unpleasant. All it takes is some communication with your customers. Like hey sorry, heat is off it is going to be cold if you want to eat here. That would be fine as long as you know when you sit down and order….

The food was beautiful however the service was disappointing, the staff looked miserable and didn’t make us feel welcomed from the moment we came in. The woman was particularly rude and unprofessional in the way she went about taking out orders and speaking to us.

Had dinner with family and friends with a few drinks. All very good value for money and tasty. Not a massive menu but I don't mind that, there was still something for everyone. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and they even let us take in a birthday earlier for a surprise for my wife. Would recommend and will go back.

Great pizza and pasta and perfect for a pre theatre performance. The menu isn't huge but it was more than enough for a great night and the desserts were to die for.
