The best restaurants serving Italian food in St Katharine's and Wapping Tower Hamlets London

Wow! What an awesome find. We were staying in the Tower Bridge area for a birthday weekend in London and we went for a walk in St Katherine’s Docks and I am so pleased we did. We wandered through the docks and saw this little place. They welcomed us and made room for us at the counter. I did ask if we could sit at a table however I am really pleased we stayed where we were as we got to watch all the magic take place! We ordered the bruschetta, the lamb ravioli, the carbonara, the steamed green beans with pesto and the chocolate salami. The food was all freshly prepared, the ingredients are of a very high quality and it was fascinating to watch how they make the dishes. The menu isn’t huge but it doesn’t need to be. Anything you choose will be tasty, filling and it will be a fab choice! I definitely need to go back and work my way through the menu lol If you are in the area, give Emilia’s a try you won’t regret it. Thank you to you all for such a lovely and memorable evening.

Reservamos una mesa para 6 y tenía que tener el segundo servicio, así que no pudimos sentarnos hasta después de las 8. 30 pm. Primera vez en el nuevo lugar y decepcionado no había vista al río y bastante sosa decorada. El restaurante no estaba en absoluto lleno, pero todos nos mostraron a una mesa que solo era lo suficientemente grande para 3 o 4. Mesas más grandes permanecieron vacías, pero no nos movieron y por lo tanto estaba bastante aplastado. Todo el mundo, excepto 2 de nosotros, tenía filete que fue cocinado exactamente como se pidió y era un buen pedazo de carne de acuerdo con el marido. Tenía una pizza de margarita que tenía tantas ganas, pedí tomates y ajo adicionales, salió exactamente igual que la de mi amigo, el queso también estaba rallado, así que era extremadamente salado y se parecía a una pizza congelada. Totalmente decepcionante. Caro para no la mejor experiencia.

Conoscendo il proprietario della gestione precedente sono ritornato "DA NONNA" ma, con mio dispiacere ho notato che nonostante sulla carta erano riportate "tagliatelle con funghi porcini" sono state servite con funghi champignon", le Bruschette con mozzarella di bufala e prosciutto patanegra erano con mozzarella normale e prosciutto di parma. Tutto ciò significa che il valore dei prodotti riportati sulla carta era di gran lunga superiore ai prodotti serviti. Il cameriere merita il massimo delle stelle per come si é comportato.

I came with my 4 yrs boy on Saturday, it was a nice and lovely restaurant, quiet with very friendly team. Ingus served us and we chose a kids meal and a lunch meal, very good food, superb service. Will come back again!

So following on from the discriminatory reception from the well known il Bordello restaurant nearby, we decided to try a different Italian restaurant, one not as well known except to the locals of Wapping or well reviewed but I am so grateful we found this place. It is genuinely a little gem situated opposite Tobacco Dock. There are old ships sitting in a dry dock so the view outside is pretty cool. We walked in and were immediately warmly welcomed and seated at our table. The people on the adjoining table were locals and mentioned how good the food was so that was very reassuring. We ordered from the starter menu the gamberoni e rucola (pan fried prawns, garlic chilli), cornetto di salmone (avocado and prawn mousse wrapped in smoked salmon) and burrata (with ham on a bed of rocket with a sweet glaze) All of which were exquisite. Mains consisted of a lobster linguine and a fettuccine al salmone. The lobster was unfortunately a tad over cooked but was bursting with flavour and the linguine and all its sauce was worth licking the plate for. The fettuccine my partner had was so rich and creamy I was in heaven with the taste I had. Desserts; just a tiramisu. It was so light and delicate but packed with flavour. Drinks consisted of a couple of rum swizzles and a mojito. If you like your tropical pineapple and coconut flavours then this is the one for you. I even took one to go. The mojito was very nice but just needed a tad more sugar for my palate. I also ordered an extra pizza to take away cos I had such a good time and loved the food so much. Portion sizes were very healthy, not American size but definitely substantial Service was brilliant. It got a bit busy halfway through our meal with lots of groups and families dining but we felt cared for and appreciated for our custom. Staff saw us out after we finished eating with smiles and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

I have my morning coffee here almost every day. The staff are friendly, they already know my usual order. I've been to many different coffee shops in London but no one beats Bellavita

the staff are not helpful and they have Very bad attitude, not recommended to anyone, very bad restaurant.
