Last Friday, my friends and I had an amazing evening. The food was exquisite, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place, as the environment by the river is truly captivating too. A special thank you to the manager, Ali, who found a place for our big group even without a reservation.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast - I think my avocado salmon omelet was very yummy and the fresh pita was amazing; my husband thought the dirty bacon waffle was delicious and filling, but either too much syrup or the syrup was super sweet. And it was fun listening the all the Italian since I haven't been to Italy in years.

Service was excellent BUT wine glasses were tiny tiny tiny ….. pizzas not so good, had the special Mozzarella which came as a burnt pizza with ball of unmelted mozzarella in the middle which made the whole meal quite inedible. Interesting fact is we both left over half uneaten which was not mentioned by the server on collection A pizza is a pizza, no cheese and a ball of ice cold mozzarella on a cardboard base with little flavour is not going to encourage customers back. Last thing more veggie options please. This place is cool but food is average at best….. sorry

Terrible experience. Only 2 tables were occupied in the restaurant, and it took over 45 mins to get out one starter. The main courses (4) were all tasteless, and dire. We complained at the time when the waiter asked us "hows the food", we told him it was awful, but by then we had waited so long to receive food (over an hour for the main course), we were that hungry, we ate it. The chips were about the best thing we endured, we didn't moan about the chips being 6.50 pounds, but when we got them, it was less than a full potato! LOL We did laugh about this in the end.

I had been trying to stop at this venue for a while, but it tends to be very busy on most occasions. The venue is compact but has an exciting appealing decor. It has bright colours and patterns. The cafe is immaculate which enhances its appeal. The service was friendly and speedy. The prices are typical for London, but the quality is great. I had a spiced chai latte that was very nice. My wife had the cake that she adored. Unfortunately, there were no gluten and dairy-free options available. Looking at the menu the main negative is that it does not have many dietary options. However, it is a nice cafe and provides a good place if you can find a seat.

We had pasta before taking the train; food was nice but I wanted to write this review especially to commend the service, which was impeccable. Orlando went out of his way to advise us and ensure we made our train on time. Thank you!

A spontaneous stop for a drink that ended up being brunch as well. I had the house breakfast and my wife the Benedict. Both excellent. A pint of Low Voltage IPA for me and a limoncello Sptz for my wife. Very enjoyable indeed with excellent service.

a neighbourhood favourite, people living and working in Canary Wharf will tell you this. Try the tiramisu.

This week marks their 10th Anniversary and free pasta offers. 2 weeks ago I downloaded the app and decided to pop in for the pasta. On arrival (today at 11.50am) the female assistant smirked at me and when I smiled and asked for the free pasta to the male server, she interjected and said sorry it is not available unless you downloaded the app! She was abrupt and unhelpful when I suggested that she helped me to navigate the app on my phone. She duly went to check with a senior, and returned saying ' if you didn't register before today, then you cannot claim.'. No apology, no trying to help a customer, just basically 'shutting me down'. I have frequented Scarpetta many times for a manager that I assist at a leading investment bank, and we will be moving our custom elsewhere. The pasta is tasty, albeit overpriced, but the restaurant falls down with its dire service. A real shame. I gave it two stars as the food is NOT terrible.
