Elegant Italian Restaurant in London, in the Canary Wharf area, whose terrace overlooks a wide Canal surrounded by modern, tall office buildings 🏢. Very friendly service. Elegant British public at noon. Excellent Minestrone Soup, a little 🌶️ spicy. Very good Sicilian Lasagna and Sea Bass (Branzino). The 🍦 Ice Creams are very good and decorative.

Discovered this place by accident in 2022 and it has become my favourite Italian restaurant. I have taken my Husband, family, best friends to this spot and will continue as long as they remain. The best place for great Italian food, even better service and an intimate atmosphere. Probably one of my favourite places to eat!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant! I had my birthday dinner here with a few friends and it was great! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very jovial. I had looked at the reviews and menu before coming and had my eyes set on the seafood pasta and it did not disappoint! The waiters were very nice and welcoming, they also served me with a complimentary cocktail as it was my birthday. I would definitely come again Also a big Thank you to John who was very patient with me and helped me through out, when making and amending my booking :) Thanks a lot! ✨

Not my type of restaurant. As an Italian, this restaurant does not deliver what I consider a good experience. A mix of old short cuts in the preparations, eg. abundant use of cream and condiments and imprecise cooking makes everything generic and pretty tasteless.

Ugh. Chef Boy-R-Dee. Penne Arabiatta where i asked if they could add prawns or shrimp (since I’m not vegan and they didn’t offer an y alternative w/meat). Thin sauce like out of a can. Pasta water or anything to thicken the sauce so at least a minimal cling to the pasta. Nothing. Sigh. Bunch of cooks. No chefs.

I had dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday on Wednesday, and the restaurant was already quite crowded. Luckily, we had booked in advance, otherwise, I doubt we would have got a table. I arrived 5 minutes early with a birthday cake and wasn’t sure if the restaurant would allow us to have it there. Fortunately, they did, and even helped to make it a surprise for my friend. I brought candles, and they added their own sparkling candles, which was a lovely touch. They also helped us by cutting the cake into individual slices. I forgot to ask the name of the older lady who served us initially, but I want to thank her for helping make my friend’s birthday so special. My friend smiled a lot and was so happy. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere, as it was a bit noisy, but that’s to be expected with a fully booked restaurant and limited space. The food was amazing – I fell in love with the seafood pasta and tiramisu. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

It was lovely to return to the Amerigo Vespucci since September and we were delighted as always not only with the high quality and excellent wine selection but the superb service. The value is really good considering the quality and the area of the restaurant. We will be back as soon as we are in Loondon.

First time visit and I can see why it was packed when restaurants close by were quiet. One of the best lunches all year, with amazing authentic Italian food, super efficient yet discreet service and huge value for money. 100% I'll be back.

Been there in January, excellent authentic Italian food, very good price and atmosphere. Special thanks to the staff that closed the outside space for us and brought us blankets so we dont get cold. Would go back anytime.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. It was busy but the service was still very good. Excellent food too. We all had pasta as a main and everyone enjoyed their serving. House red wine was very drinkable too. Good atmosphere. Will be returning!

Another fabulous meal at Amerigo! The welcome and service is always top notch. Thank you to Danga for looking after us so well. Starters..crab and scallop pasta. Lamb cutlets with truffle fries for the main, delightful! My only complaint....I've never yet been able to taste the foccacia as it's sold out. I'll make a special request next time I book. Can't wait to go back.

First time here and have to say I was very impressed with the food, service and the ambience of the restaurant. We had the Seared King Scallops and Crab Ravioli as starters and both were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. My rack of lamb was supplemented with black truffle mash and broccoli and again the flavours from the balsamic and honey jus were sublime. My lime and lemon cheesecake wasn't as tangy as I would like it but the margarita cocktail more than made up for it. It's not cheap here but you definitely get what you pay for.

An excellent location by the water at Canary Wharf. The restaurant has a relaxed but upmarket vibe with food to match. We were a group of 3 and all had a great experience. Main courses were steak and lamb with everything cooked appropriately. Very good wine selection. Service was very prompt. Appeared quite busy when we were there so bookings probably essential.

The black crab ravioli was absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked pasta filled with rich, flavorful crab that melted in your mouth. Our waiter was fantastic, balancing friendliness with impeccable efficiency, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. A delightful dining experience from start to finish!

Fantastic food, steaks the best I've had in years.

Service is haphazard because you have a shared-server system. Waitress forgot our starter. Overpriced for the quality of the food. But a nice setting to take clients to in the Canary Wharf area.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant in London: we try to eat here every time we are in the capital. The food is sensational, the service exceptional, the ambience exactly what one wants in a quality restaurant. We have never once been disappointed in a meal here. Long may it continue.

Another excellent meal and evening here. The food is excellent, the service attentive and friendly but not over the top, and the ambience is just right. The food and drinks are well priced given the quality. Really nothing to fault.

Set in the vibrant heart of docklands, down the steps from the fountain in Cabot Square, Amerigo Vespucci gave us a fine Italian dining experience in a family friendly, relaxed setting. We were early for our reservation but that gave us the opportunity to enjoy the vibrant nature of an weekday evening in one of the financial centres in London. The food was first class, plentiful and classic. The wine, carefully sourced and recommended by the owner, very good indeed. The staff were attentive and at the same time barely noticeable as they looked after us for the whole time we were there. A lovely spot on Middle Dock for a pre evening meal or in our case to spend the whole evening in, relaxed, comfortable and very well fed and watered. I would highly recommend a visit, the Sicilian Lemonchello was a very nice touch and a perfect ending to a special few hours.

Great tasting food, exceptional service, and great value as well. Certainly my go-to Italian restaurant.

My second time dining here but this time as a solo diner. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and pipping hot which was great. I ordered my appetizer and main course at same time and was worried it would be all brought at once like some other places I’ve been to but luckily that didn’t happen. I order one cocktail which was a lychee martini which was a first and very delicious (and strong). Would highly recommend to people to come but if you’re a solo diner like myself you may want to try during the day as the beginning of the service was a little slow but I understand they was busy with many other diners.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for several years and never been disappointed. The food is great, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Whilst prices have increased (like everywhere else) it’s still good value. I’ve made several recommendations to friends, they love the place and return on a regular basis .

30.07.24 - We booked a table of 4 for a friend's night out. The staff was really nice in greeting and during service. We each ordered cocktails that were so nice and helped with the breaks between courses. It can take some time as the restaurant was really busy. For the main course, I had the Tagliatelle with seafood. But my friend got a different pasta than he ordered. But the pasta was still yummy none the less XD Dessert was the best! I got the meringue so light! With the fruit!!! YUM!!! other desserts I recommend too - the tiramisu and brownie

Went here tonight for my wife and 10 year old daughter's joint birthday celebration. The service was top class. Welcoming, attentive, lovely surprise birthday treats for the birthday ladies. The place has a lovely high-end feel but was really comfortable to us as a family with 2 young children as well. The food was the absolute star though. I had spaghetti ragu, my wife had the scallops and crab pasta, the kids had pomodoro pasta and it was all divine. It all made for a perfect birthday night and I can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing always a pleasure great staff and food and very reasonable

This was a really pleasant surprise. Walked in randomly with a five year old in tow, and got a warm welcome, fantastic personable service, and some of the best pasta I've ever had. The starters and pasta mains were wonderful. Desserts were huge and tasty. Only low point was the coffee: espressos tasted like they'd come out of one of those airport lounge machines. Other than that, an impeccable lunch experience, and we'll certainly be back.

UPDATED REVIEW: My partner and I have been coming here for 1.5 years now and can say it's so homely and warm to us. The staff are always lovely despite the fact they are always so busy there! If you want to be in and out fast come at 6pm. Ivan and Jack always make us feel so welcome and they run the place. They sometimes give out limoncello at the end which is always a nice touch :) The prices of the food are also very reasonable especially for London. As for the food. We havent tasted everything yet but what we've had is nice, some things are better than others. For starters we always get calamari and the crostini's or a pasta.. For mains we recommend the seabass, the lamb, the gnocchi (it is quite citrus), the pesto pasta, and one pasta I cant remember I believe was a meat based tortelloni (very yummy.) The only pasta I would avoid is the tortellini but I say that everywhere as tortellini is always underwhelming. For dessert ALWAYS tiramisu but we also enjoyed the eton mess. For cocktails the amaretto sour is gorgeous, the margarita is extra strong. OLD REVIEW: My partner and I have been here maybe 6 times and its a gem of a place, we have grown to recognise the staff and they are always so kind. The food is great and reasonably priced, some days its better than others but its never not good. I recommend getting the focaccia bread for table, the bruschetta or calamari to start and pesto pasta or gnocchi for main. We are yet to try the meat options as we call Amerigo our pasta place. Always a lovely experience!

Had My Birthday celebration there. Received a surprise Dessert with candle whilst the rest of the restaurant joined in to sing happy birthday to me! It was beautiful.

Arrived on time, was quickly greeted and sat down. The restaurant is lovely and well maintained including all amenities. I don’t remember hearing any music however I’m certain it was being played in the background. Bar staff etc are all on show, was very impressed with the presentation, uniform etc all very clean and professional which gives a very good impression. Starter was fair (Squid and Courgette) nice size portion, no issues at all. Wine is priced just over what I would say is fair it certainly wasn’t expensive. Main course was a bit of a let down, I had steak which did not include any sides, I’ll be honest it was below average. Wife had pasta (seafood), again this was average at best. We were given a bottle of limoncello which was a very nice touch to finish, we were also given olives and bread sticks to start which again is a nice touch. We will be going back and giving it another try.

We had a delicious meal, I recommend the Salsiccia piccante con Lenticcie (spicy sausage with lentils) to start. All the foods was excellently cooked and served. Very friendly staff. Would come again!

This restaurant is probably my favourite in London. The service is incredible - big mention to Ivan and the manager who I believe whose name is John. Ivan always takes the best care of us and honestly coming here always feels really special. The food is beautiful and great size portions. Rather pretty room and rather well prepared dishes. The service is friendly but nothing that justifies such exorbitant prices. A pasta dish and a caprese salad cost me the equivalent of €50.

Dinner @amerigovespuccicanarywharf. All the food is great tasty 😋 impressive huge pepper grinder!! Service was a bit disappointing esp when the lady was blaming the new staff even though she was the one served us 😓 they forgot our food three times.. first Focaccia then Olivia oil and balsamic sauce that meant to go with.. then we waited for longggg time seeing other table who got in later than us getting main… we had to ask again for our main and apparently lady who taken our order didn’t notify the kitchen 🫢 at this point we are not paying for service charge!! Service just right. No waiters hovering close by all the time waving white napkins. Easy to get a waiter when needed. Food delicious - but quite rich. Not suitable for people with a delicate stomach. My friend said his risotto was too salty. When we asked for water to drink, we were automatically served bottled water, whereas the waiter should have asked if we wanted tap water. So we got him to change it. However, overall a very nice meal indeed, and a pleasant place, although some people were too noisy, but you can't tell them to stop talking!! Thanks!

Great first experience in this authentic Italian restaurant! My partner and I decided to try Italian restaurant, which exceeded all our expectations. We got a bottle of Gavi, which was a great selection on wine a list. We decided to try a mushroom risotto and king prawns as a starter. It was freshly cooked my favourite risotto and the prawns were delightful, especially the sauce of prawns, which you need a bread to deep in it! A very great start before sharing a chateaubriand with fritas. The meat was cooked till perfection and the portions were very reasonable big for two. We were so full up and happy, that there were no space for dessert. We are keeping that intrigue for next time of visit. We are definitely coming back! The atmosphere was so great thanks to Danguole (which offered us a complimentary digestive) and Ivan (who was most of the time looking after us) that i felt back to Italy myself. Great team effort and great value food made our day. Thank you for your hospitality and great work you do!

I would give 10 stars if I could! Everything about this place is incredible. The vibe, the food, the staff - I cannot fault a single thing! I am obsessed with Italian food and this is some of the best I have ever had. The seafood pasta was exquisite. Cannot recommend them enough, have already told several friends about this place as I need everyone to experience it! My parents rave about it all the time and I'm so glad I got to experience it! Will definitely be back :)

On Monday 17 June 2024, online restaurant timings show its open till 11:00 pm. I reached the restaurant at 10:20 pm, I was denied the right to be serviced by stating that the kitchen is closed. I wonder then why the online hours say that its open until 11:00pm 😟😞
