The best restaurants serving Greek food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Clean, great ambience, tasty food(it tastes as great as it looks in pictures!), and great service! A special thank you to Alexa for going over any potential allergens, she was thorough and took my request very seriously(pistachios, cashews, and mangos, random i know), was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks Alyssum bistro!

We dined in their upstairs restaurant. Good choice of kebabs. Ended up getting the mixed gyros - chicken & pork. Came with chips, salad and bread. Very filling. It is a BYO so we brought along some rather apt Mythos beers to drink with our meal.

my friends have used this place a few times and said it was good.so thought i better try it.there is a full takeaway menu ranging from burgers,pizza,kebabs etc.the best part of this takeaway is it is joined on to a pub,the clarendon and they allow the takeaway to plate your meal up and serve it in the pub at selected tables.what could be better than a few drinks and a kebab.the food was good and was presented well.i had mixed kebab as did most of us.a couple had pizzas and all went down well.my meal was £8.50 and i thought that was pretty decent value.its a good set up let’s hope it continues

Comida griega auténtica. Tan buena como en Grecia. Real gente agradable. Encantador y no demasiado caro. Sin duda volveremos. A visitar y no te decepcionará.

Enjoyable evening , booked a table for three for the daughters birthday and the food and the atmosphere went down a treat , The young lady looking after us was friendly and very helpful , all the food we had was tasty and well cooked and portions were just about right as can be seen by the pictures I have uploaded , would we return " definitely " It gets a massive thumbs up from me ..

Great little cafe run by a very enthusiastic young couple, we are gradually eating our way down the menu of authentic Greek food, they import ingredients from Greece, and we would say that everything is “para poly nostimo!” (Very very tasty) As someone else has stated elsewhere a wonderful addition to Ossett and they seem to have a loyal clientele who appreciate their food and friendly atmosphere. So if you haven’t been there yet come on give it a try, you never know, you may wonder why you didn’t go in before. Efcaristome, keep on serving the good food and they will come. (Apologies I haven got a Greek alphabet keyboard)

Popped in on a Friday evening and got a walk in table for two. Food came quickly and the portions are huge, certainly makes it good value. As others have mentioned you can also get takeaway here so they can provide a container if you can’t finish your plate. A tad slow to bring the bill but we settled up at the till instead. Would recommend.

Me and my wife called here for a quick bite to eat and wow, the Gyro Plate was absolutely gorgeous, excellent service from the lovely gentleman, and very reasonably priced

Ordered online, went in to collect it and they had forgotten about our order because the were serving all the football lot, we did ask for one gyros with no salad on and it came with everything on but it was too busy to go back in and say something

On 13/03/25, I went to Aya Sophia with some friends for a meal. When we got there, a member of staff showed us to our table & then she showed us the menu & then, we ordered a drink. We then, ordered our meal & staff made sure that everything was okay for us. We assured them that we were okay for us. Aya Sophia is in Hebdon Bridge, not far from The Train Station on Bridge Gate area of Hebdon Bridge. Stephen Acton.

Shame I can't give zero stars. Restaurant took the booking, send an email the night before to confirm. We turned up place was well and truly closed and must have been for sometime.

We had the sharing plate of prawns whitebait mussels calamari and a glass of crip white wine .It reminded me of unassisted de fruits de la mer.l just need an excuse to go back.
