The Greek Village in Sheffield

We went here at lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. We had a pork gyros meal and a chicken skewer meal Both were delicious. Freshly prepared, with a beautiful fresh salad more than we could both eat on the plate. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The cost was very reasonable too. We'll definitely be returning to try something else.

You get a 1 star for your van driver in a black hoody driving down a pavement outside outside a school to make a short cut

Very nice gyros .. had the mixed and was tasty. The staff were great and the place seemed very busy at lunchtime!

The taste is great, though I will never be used to the price of Greek fast food outside of Greece.

As a Greek Cypriot, I was on the lookout for a good Greek restaurant within Sheffield. Went to Greek Village yesterday for my birthday with my partner and the food was exceptionally delicious! Kind staff, speedy service and massive portions at an unbeatable price! Food transported me back home, would absolutely visit again.

Now then, I’ve never done a google review in my life, so that tells you how good this food is! 14 quid, Chicken Gyros eat your heart out, left with leftovers stuffed like a Christmas hog- 20/10 would scran again

We had a really fantastic meal here. We ordered a starter to share with two mains and honestly couldn't finish it all. Very fresh and filling. Would absolutely recommend.

I'm not usually sentimental with food, but this kebab Philadelphia almost brought me to tears. Absolutely brilliant totally worth the money. Great customer service too. Went on lunch time during the week, it wasn't busy.

Very convenient location, with parking in the close by streets. The food was decent and well priced. The chicken skewers and the pitas were dry which was very disappointing. The mixed grill had a good selection of meats and the kebab was tasty.

I ordered take out for a luxury lunch. I had a sausage sandwich and a spinach pastry. Very good.

The food was delicious, some of them even better than Greece (and I'm greek) and the portions were huge. For 2 people it was around 40£ and we didnt manage to finish it. Also the waitresses were very friendly and helpful the whole time. 5/5!

Favourite restaurant in Sheffield and has been for some time. The best Greek food I have ever had, so tasty and the portions are more than generous especially for the price. Staff are very friendly and professional and the restaurant is very clean. Can’t wait to be back again soon! :)

I got taken here by friends for a birthday meal while I visited Sheffield. Outstanding restaurant. Massive portions of fantastic quality Greek food. Much of the clientele that evening were Greek which tells you all you need to know. I had to get rolled out the door I was do well fed!

Absolutely phenomenal food was amazing, freshly squeezed juice was lovely and also budget friendly will deffo visit again!

I visited here tonight with my partner, for the second time. We ate here about 8 months ago and we had such a great experience, we couldn't wait to come back! For our second visit, they certainly didn't let us down. The service was fantastic, with the staff extremely polite and friendly, and always happy to help if you need anything. The food was prompt, hot and flavourful, each bite as delicious as the last. As for portion sizes and value for money, we spent about £65 before tip and were so full from the mixed grill we shared, we had to take the leftovers home to enjoy later. I honestly can't recommend The Greek Village enough and can't wait for visit number 3!

Our second time here and it was just as amazing as before. A real family atmosphere, great service, and excellent food! The kitchen is well organised and efficient, the staff are knowledgeable and very pleasant. Love this place and will return again and again , thank you Greek village.

I visited on the day before the restaurant was closed for a week for the owners to go on holiday, not sure if this is why the portions were huge but either way it was a lovely dinner and authentic Greek food! Would go again and try some more of the menu… try the feta starter it’s beautiful!

We ordered a chicken Gyros and a pork Gyros and both were full of meat, however, they were lacking sauce and salad - there was only one tiny slice of tomato in the chicken gyros to make up the salad - which resulted in both being dry. Unfortunately, the chips were quite poor too. This was our first order from The Greek Village and I'm sorry to say, that we wouldn't return as we've had better Greek takeaways. That being said, delivery was quite quick and the driver was friendly and polite.

Authentic Greek food at the best! You have definitely to try Greek giros souvlaki(wrap) and also a freddo cappuccino

my experience here was honestly shocking the food was cold and some of the food was raw and had to send it back to be re cooked and the staff were extremely rude about it a certain staff member named peggy thought this was funny and stated “you get what you paid for” when we paid good money for our meals i would not recommend this place to anyone as their customer service and the food was genuinely appalling for the prices of it

They have the best coffee on Abbeydale Road in my opinion. They have lovely pastries too which sell out fast. I’m slowly becoming addicted to their spanakopita.

Great location with inside and outside seating. The food portions for the mixed grill were enormous, with enough food for us to take home. The quality of the meat was great and the sides were tasty, however I would have appreciated a bit more salad and less fries.

A nice greek fast food gyros, souvlaki and not only. You should definitely give it a go.

Been here a few time thought the food was good until one of the chefs spat in my wrap. I confirmed what he did as he and another member of staff joked about it imitating what he did to another wrap (a spitting gesture) He made anger swell from my gut and is lucky I didn't do anything violent! Ive reported the incident to the Sheffield council.

Food was awful - both the chicken wrap and lamb wrap was not fit for human consumption.. it was awful. It was dry, reheated, probably three weeks old (it felt like). This is the second time that I have tried this place - does seem to improve.

Superb Greek restaurant in Sheffield! "The Greek Village" is absolutely the best in Sheffield, it's been our first visit but we will surely be back. Wide food choice for meat eaters and vegetarians, plates are full of food and nicely presented like they would serve in Greece. Amazing range of desserts and drinks to satisfy everyone. I've ordered the tirokroketes (starter), the Giaourtlou (main) and the ekmek (dessert) and i absolutely loved everything! Prices are just right for the quality and the quantity of the food you get. We had the pleasure to speak with the owners to tell them how amazing our dinner has been and they're really friendly and very dedicated to the restaurant. Highly recommend you to eat here!

5 star and even 6 if there was an option for this restaurant! Keep returning back, the food they serve is amazing, very tasty, well cooked and good quality too. Prices have gone up the last so many months but the quality and quantity stays the same as before. Always finish your meal off with a cold Freddo Espresso for take away! Would definitely recommend, worth the 2 hour round trip we are doing every time we visit the shop!

I had booked the table over a week ago. I explained that I had allergies that had been accommodated previously and placed my order well in advance. I booked for a large group as we were celebrating 2 birthdays. On arrival, I confirmed I had already placed my order due to my dietary requirement and double checked that they were aware. My guests arrived and that is when I was informed that the restaurant would only be able to supply part of my order even though they have accommodated my dietary needs previously. Has I been informed when I booked that they were unable to supply the meal I requested I could have chosen something else, or booked elsewhere. The waiting staff were very slow at taking the order and clearing the dirty plates. After about 25 minutes we actually started stacking the plates and moving them up the table in hopes the waiting staff would take the hint and clear the table. We asked for yhe dessert menus and after a fairly long wait, I actually sourced on myself as the waiting staff were far to busy having conversations with each other.

This place is amazing I've been a few times and every time everything has been perfect. Everything fills you up and if you can't finish it then you can take it home. It is very clean, even the toilets. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Some of the options are vegetarian or vegan but most have meat. My family and I love it here and that's why it deserves 5 stars

The staff was rude, got my order wrong and when i told them it was like i was in the wrong and wanted to argue with me. over priced for what it was, and the food was bang average.

The food is all incredible and the portions are huge! Service once seated was great however when first entering it would be nice if someone greeted you, we were stood around waiting for some sort of direction amidst a gaggle of other people. The atmosphere is fantastic and very authentic but can be very loud.

Love greek gyros, and for the first time we we're close and had time, and it was lunch time. Wife had chicken I had pork. They we're amazing. Best gyros we've had out side Greece and Turkey. Very very tasty !! Will be back for more.

The portions are huge! Definitely worth getting a few dishes and sharing rather than tackling the portions solo. The desserts, specifically the bakalava was sadly served cold which meant the syrup inside was frozen and seemed to be really clovey. The portions are good for the price but wasn't a huge fan of the chicken pieces in the chicken gyros main dish. Can't fault the starters, all delicious.

Delicious fresh food, very generous portions and great value for money. The cakes were also really good if you have room, the chocolate praline is to die for. We will definitely be back!

Food is reasonably priced, comes out super quick and is tasty. The sun loungers on the beach are the comfiest in sidari and I cannot count the amount of times I have fallen asleep on them. Recommend!

I don't understand why they are so tight with the sauce. I just ordered a big box of meat and bread and chips and all it comes with is a small pot of sauce who isn't even enough to dip a couple of pieces of bread in it. It's just sauce ! How much does it really cost them ? When they charge over 12 quid for a main dish they could be more generous with quantities.

Great place to have some Greek food! Mixed grill platter is just amazing - the amount of meat and quality on extremely high level! Souvlaki, tzatziki, gyros - all traditional greek dishes are available and are of a really high quality. Really nice place to have some food for lunch/dinner!

Very unassuming modest decor, but clean and welcoming. Inside, the chiller cabinets had my mouth watering with fresh pastries and desserts. The customer service was exemplary. I paid £3 for a chicken and 4 cheese pie, and got a lovely fresh and we'll dressed side salad nicely presented with it, which seemed amazing value. The whole place made me think of Greek holidays and was very authentic... I may be a new regular!

Arrived with our family For My daughters 12th birthday and from start to finish the staff we’re so pleasant and welcoming and the food was unbelievable! it was a warm sunny day in Sheffield and the food was so authentic and traditional Greek music playing in the restaurant that we all joked about feeling like we were actually on our holidays Definitely worth a visit and we will 100% be returning Thank u!
