Brilliant food and fantastic service. Dermot made the meal! So friendly and with a great sense of humour!

Food was delicious and reasonably priced, atmosphere was great, and our server, Dermot, was wonderful!

We visited Ego Sheffield for a large family celebratory meal. It’s a wonderful setting next to the winter gardens and with a glass roof it almost feels as though you are dining outdoors. The food was delicious, all our group said so. We had some food allergies to considered and they were brilliant in catering for everyone. Service was great, attentive and friendly. Dermot our main waiter was fantastic. Thank you and we will definitely visit again.

Very convenient location for the snooker and we had a booking which was accommodated straight away. Very friendly server. Menu is smaller than previous years (and it wasn't massive anyway). I had the paella which is very nice but on the smaller side, the highlight was the Moroccan lamb.

Could have gone to lots of places around the centre but decided on here,surprised how good the food was , steak was not that big but really tasty and tender , calamari was crispy and tasty,would definitely come here again

Our fifth annual visit for the snooker World Championships - and two days of great cuisine at this outstanding venue overlooking the Crucible. Bravissimo to Manager Sam and team. Mediterrean hospitality and cooking just keeps on getting better!

Had a very nice evening here. Good atmosphere, tasty food, super quick service and our waiter Dermot was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend if looking for somewhere upscale but relaxed in Sheffield.

Terrible. Advertised as open until 11pm on Sunday, got there before 9pm and was told that the kitchen was closed! Not even a sorry. I think the staff just wanted to knock off early.

Nicola was absolutely amazing. The place was so busy and she served us and all all her other tables amazingly. Honestly she was a pure delight to be served by and great credit to your business. Helps that the food was fab aswell. Will definitely come again. I can't speak highly enough though of your server Nicola!

Visited on my partner's birthday. we really loved the food, and everything we had was absolutely 💯. The grilled kebabs are favourite for everyone and it is almost on everyone table. The steak is moderately good i would say. All starters we tried are good.

First visit but would definitely go again. Good atmosphere and staff were friendly and efficient. Great location next to the winter garden. Good selection of food on menu with some good offers for things like pre-theatre.

We arrived early and were warmly welcomed. We had a train to catch and the staff were excellent at getting the meal to us rapidly. Our server Hollie was friendly and skilled and professional.

Nice atmosphere and setting. Tables a little close together. I had scallops, morrocon style lamb, and apple / blackcurrant crumble. It was nice food, but did not blow me away. However, I tried my partners prawns and steak fillet and they were amazing. 3 courses each cost us circa £100 in total, which i think is very reasonable for a Friday evening.

If I could give Dermot 6 stars, I would — but since the system only allows 5, I’ll settle for that (reluctantly). From the moment we walked in, he greeted us like we were long-lost friends returning from a world tour. His banter was as fresh as the Mediterranean breeze, and his charm could probably convince a cactus to bloom. The food? Absolutely incredible, but honestly, Dermot’s service was the real main course. He was quick with recommendations (which were spot-on), and his timing was so flawless it was like he had a sixth sense about when we were about to ask for the check. If you’re looking for great food and an unforgettable experience, make sure you ask for Dermot. Not only will he serve you, but he might just make you question your life choices in the best possible way. Would absolutely return just to see him again — and eat, of course. The most amazing evening full of gorgeous food and drinks! Good laughs throughout from Dermot, who went above and beyond when rectifying a delay with our food.

Lovely place to go to, food was amazing, only issue which was probably a personal preference is too much black pepper. Dermot was a lovely host and made sure we all felt welcome and had a good laugh. The toilets however let down the experience and I wouldn’t say match the aesthetic of the restaurant, could use a little money on redecorating. Would definitely come again and would recommend asking for Dermot to serve you!!

The place isn't cleaned properly. There are large dust-encrusted cobwebs high on the ceiling and there are visible cobwebs lower down too. Utterly unacceptable. Ladders and long feather dusters exist. I shouldn't have to see that kind of filth when I look up from my table. Who knows what might even drop down into people's food... Staff was overall excellent. The food was okay, not bad but frankly uninspired. Definitely not worth the price. The quality you'd expect in a decent canteen, not a restaurant. If it cost half the price it would be fair. I'd give it two stars if it was clean, but the dirt means it has to be a one star.

Gorgeous food, chap who served us starting with D was amazing and a credit to the restaurant. High ceiling makes it quite hard to hear.

Rubbish experience at this Restaurant. Definitely in no hurry to go back. The chicken was the driest chicken I've ever eaten. Meals and sides were missing or wrong. Waitress didn't know how to smile. Dont think I saw her smile once in the two hours we were there. The only positive I can comment on are the two cocktails I had. They're the reason this is not a one star review. We came out as a party of 10 for my sisters 21st Birthday. It ruined it completely, its not a day she's ever going to get back. It had her mum in tears. What should have been a happy celebration was a complete shambles.

Visited as part of a group, which probably detracted from the usual experience as I tend to find that the service declines notably for larger groups and this was no exception. The table wasn’t ready when we arrived just before our booked time, and there was a wait while the table was prepared- probably about 15 minutes I would guess. I don’t have a problem with the wait specifically, but more the area where we were asked to wait- the bar. This area is also a very narrow walkway for customers to use and for staff trying to carry food to tables, so you were left constantly dodging people carrying plates and constantly being asked to move for people to pass by and it just felt chaotic and claustrophobic. All the food was very good, but the service lacked any warmth with food being pretty much just called and then dumped in the relevant place with little in the way of pleasantries. Additionally, the food for all the courses was generally carried over 2 plates at a time by one person, so it arrived in dribs and drabs with some people sat with food waiting for quite a while for others to get their meals. It’s basic restaurant procedure that if you have a big table you communicate with your colleagues and a few staff group together to serve a large table together to avoid this. It all just came across a bit chaotic and disorganised from start to finish. I would also add that there is a massive accumulation of cobwebs on the walls above the food serving hatch, which is clearly visible from the opposite side of the restaurant which highlights poor attention to detail. I often think if the bits of a restaurant you can see are dirty, what are the bits you can’t see like? Overall, good food but management need to get a grip on basic standards.
