Excellent authentic Greek experience. Large and varied menu. Fantastic team who look after you very well. Good for takeaway and eat in. Options for gluten free are fab.

Maria & Niko amazing hosts! Always very friendly and happy to help you to choose the ample choice of Greek mezedes and main dishes available on menu. The specials also worth while to try on your next visit. The Mythos Hellenic lager goes down very well . The wine is very good and especially the complimentary ouzo too! It is very good value for money. I definitely reccomended to visit Parthenonas.

It was a real shame.

We come here mostly as a couple, but also with friends and family and once as a large group. The owners are friendly and offer a great dining experience. A lovely selection of food is available from the extensive menu, lamb, steak, pork, beef, chicken, fish, veggie. Great starters and ouzo. Coffee is good too.

Hate to leave such a bad review but it doesn't warrant anything higher. Restaurant was dead, yet it took ages for food. Could hear the microwave pinging. Starters were 100% microwaved and soggy. They were either bland or the saltiest thing imaginable. Also ordered haloumi and got feta. No spinach in the spanakopita. Ordered gyros for the main, came de-constructed (which isn't too bad) The pork was like bacon lardons and very salty. I've seen loads of reviews saying how this place is good, I'm sorry but you people have never had quality Greek food... Thankfully we had a coupon which meant we didn't spend much. Won't be returning again, which is a shame cause the guy who served us was nice and polite.

We had a Groupon offer, so I'm not sure if that affected our experience. The starters were good and good portions. However, the mains were pitiful, and we were still hungry, so we had to order desserts. We all x 4 ordered lamb shank which didn't come on the bone it was 4 or 5 cubes of meat in a sauce accompanied by 2 small roast potatoes and 3 rings of carrot and 1 piece of broccoli which I thought was a very terribly small portion. The owner or head waiter was very friendly and atmosphere. Deserts were of normal portion too unfortunately just the main course!!

Good atmosphere with the owners being Greek. Food is largely authentic however smaller details like the thick creamy bechamel lacking on the pastitsio. It was largely cheese or just a really thin layer on top meaning it tasted mostly of the tomatoes. Food prices are pretty high but not awful. With the price per item being around 8-12 per dish average. Good quality wine choice. Overall a decent if not slightly pricey place with good room for improvement.

The restaurant smells bad, the waiter was not respectful, the food was not to my liking and the portions were small. The quality is not that of a restaurant and the pictures are not what they look like on the internet.

Love it here. Go regularly. Never had a bad meal. Fabulous 👌 well worth a visit. Just like being in Greece.

Hi, i am writing this review to make people and customers aware of the awful service i got here, thee son of the owner comes down and tells me to get out in a horrible way and even grabs me, the food was soggy and bland 1/5 wouldnt go here.

Amazing again! Good food and service . I can’t believe I’m saying this but the food has got even better! We love this place and would recommend to anyone wanting the best Greek food. We will definitely be back ❤️

It's simply THE best Greek food I have ever tasted. Including that in Greece. The atmosphere is wonderful, too. It feels very warm and welcoming. Like being in someone's home. Only downside is that it can be a little slow service wise. Usually, because they are so busy/ perhaps it was the staff at the time.

Well worth a visit. They used to do vouchers that reduce the price of your meal the next time you visit.

Nice welcome from friendly owner. Quaint place, reminiscent of a traditional Greek taverna. Food was great, cooked perfectly and portions were good, if not massive. Meal would have cost £32 with drinks, so reasonable prices.

The food here is so fresh and tasty. Really nice food. We went pretty late on so just another group with us. We couldn't really get the real ambience of the restaurant. With it being a quaint size then I can imagine the atmosphere being nice and romantic with wonderful Greek music playing in the background. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous in my opinion. The owners are very friendly. The husband is very kind and approachable. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you enjoy trading Greek food and run by Grecians. I don't think you will be disappointed if you visit for a lovely romantic evening meal.

Enjoyed another very nice meal again here tonight. Nicely presented and the hot food was hot not lukewarm. Starters and mains very tasty. In the present financial climate very reasonably priced. No wonder it is so busy We will be back thank you.

I really like it here, the food is always good and the staff are friendly. The price is even better, if you call in advance and mention the meal deal on the phone, you essentially get 3 courses + tea/coffee + a shot of ouzo for £12. Would defo recommend

Food OK, not as good as you would get on a Greek island as the ingredients are different

We've been in this restaurant a few years ago and we liked the food there. We had a voucher from Groupon web page for which we paid £20. This time we ordered as starters Saganaki and Piperia Kokini - both yummy. As main we ordered Chicken Parthenonas (which was nice) and Kotopoulo Chilopites (was OK but only a few pieces of chicken) and extra patates fournou - which was a bit disappointment as they been only baked and sprinkled with dried herbs and not like described with lemon, oregano and garlic. We had also Greek beer (Mythos) and sparkling water; for additional potatoes, beer and water we paid £9.60. We liked the food despite not everything was perfect and we will come again.

The owner is such a wonderful man! If you’re looking for a quiet cozy dinner just like the ones your greek grandma makes, this is the place! It’s nothing extraordinary but definitely worth the visit!

There's a small town somewhere in Greece with a hole where this place has been teleported from. It is so authentic that you forget you're in Sheffield. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it as the food was delicious. 1 starter between us, 2 mains, a large Mythos and a coke for £32 was also an absolute bargin.

Wonderful authentic and reasonably priced Greek food with great vegetarian options. My partner is Greek herself and she was also very impressed 🇬🇷

Went on a quiet Sunday eve and were last people in the restaurant so only fair to leave a review. Food was really very good. Excellent portions (I'm a growing boy) and well priced (was about £20pp with a big beer and a lot of food). Good service. People complaining about the décor are no doubt the same people who would complain about it being more expensive if the owner spent a fortune on renovating it; it's clean and cosy. Have only been to the Greedy Greek in Sheffield to compare (also very good) but I would say this is a bit less 'casual-dining' than that.

Booked for 8.30 but still waiting at 9.00pm with no chance of a table so went elsewhere. They have a Wowcher offer on Nd had grossly overbooked.

I found this restaurant as was really fancying Greek, this could not have been more Greek, the guy running it/owner is just amazing and makes you feel so welcome. He was rushed off his feet but could not have been more friendly and helpful, when we wanted to give a tip he refused saying he run it alone - how often would you get anything like that!!! Who turns a tip down? My pet hate os people expecting tips, and for this reason alone we will be back. The food, oh it was delicious! There is so much choice on the menu are very reasonable prices, the three of us all enjoyed our meal and can’t wait to return. The portions were big, the food good quality, the atmosphere very Greek and the prices very reasonable. I think this is going to be a regular place we visit from now on. Thank you

This place is FANTASTIC!!! The food is fabulous. Absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is so relaxed. We visited here for my sister's birthday and they made her feel so special. We had children with us and they were brilliant with them. I can't recommend this place enough. It really is perfect.

Just had a fantastic meal at Parthenonas. It was a Wowcher Christmas present from my sister. We've never been before, but will certainly be returning. My partner had the meatballs to start, which was a meal in itself, and I had the sausage and halloumi, both of which were delicious. I had kleftiko for my main course, which was as good as any I've had in Greece and my partner had pastitsio, which was a little underflavoured for my tastes, but she loved it. Service was laid back and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Don't go if you are in a hurry, but take your time and just enjoy it.

Saw an advert for this, offering a three course meal, coffee & a shot of Ouzo for £12, so had to give it a try. We didn't book & walked into an almost empty restaurant but within half an hour, it was full. There was only one guy (the owner?) doing everything outside of the kitchen & although he was very laid back, he did a good job & kept everyone happy. The food was good & we would definitely return.

Wow! My husband and I went to Parthenonas last night and I can't say enough good things about the place. The owner was lovely, the music in the background added to the mood wonderfully, and the food was out of this world. Everything was so beautifully prepared, presented and cooked, and it tasted sooooooo good! From the very first mouthful of food to the shot of Ouzo at the end, this meal delivered on every level. We will definitely be back, thank you so much to everyone at Parthenonas for a perfect 'date' night.

Booked at lunchtime for the same evening. Ate at 18:30, very quiet. Red wine from Crete was very acceptable. Ordered from specials (available Sun to Thurs) Our starters were Keftadakia (meat balls in sauce) and Greek sausage with baked feta (forgotten name). Both very tasty. Mains were Chicken souvlaki (mixed on the menu but asked for no pork) and Kleftiko. Lovely roast spuds and excellent fries!. Ice cream to follow (choc & vanilla), tea/coffee, and a shot of ouzo. £36.50 for the two of us. Will be back soon...

First visit to the Parthenonas with my wife and a warm welcome awaited us on arrival, we were immediately led to a table central to the restaurant by friendly staff who explained how and what our Groupon Voucher covered. We ordered meatballs in sauce and a warm feta and tomato dish for our two starters and creamy steak and salmon for or two mains and a large glass of red wine, water was immediately brought to the table, and the food was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and kept us entertained through our visit even though the topic was political it was really good given the state of the country at present. We were offered free Coffees and drinks before leaving, the whole evening was £40.00 including a reasonable tip. Will definitely be back even though it is almost a 2 hour round trip from our home in Howden

Whenever we visit we always have an authentic Greek meal. Everything we try is amazing. Always good value. We called tonight (3 adults) without booking and we were accommodated. Had starters and mains and everything was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough.
