Myself and my wife went for dinner unbooked, and sat to have a 2 course meal. The starter I had was 2 parcels of smoked salmon, one with atlantic prawns, one with crab, the crab one was okay, the prawn one was not good, the prawns tasted bitter as though old from the freezer. I left this uneaten and the waitress removed my plate without opportunity to comment at the change of courses. The main was a trio of fish, Red mullet, Gurnard and John Dory, served with a greek salad. The fish was over cooked, to the point of white protein ooze coming from the flesh. I did not eat much as it was generally unpleasant to eat. Also Gurnard was not served but a piece of other white fish. I then, when approached at the conclusion of the meal, with a largely uneaten meal, complained about the quality of the cooking and fish choice not being that which I ordered, this was met with complete refusal of any fault by the chef, and suggested I should have commented earlier, and was not offered anything as a way of compensation to the disappointing meal. No offer of price reduction offered and I was treated with utter contempt from that moment on and was billed for the whole meal. I paid you avoid further issues and embarrassment for my wife, and left under a silence from staff. I will never set foot in there again. I have eaten there before with a general satisfaction of the meal albeit the fish cookery not superb. I will not be going back.
