The best restaurants serving Fast food food in Hackney London

My first time ordering a take away kebab from bbq xpress and gladly surprised ! They have even proper tables inside so it is not just a typical takeaway place. I also was very surprised with the professionalism of the staff. Super fast and super correct. Not very often one can say that…) I haven’t tried the ones that are just next to them but to be honest, I don’t think I am going to give them a go! Meat and vegetables were fresh and tasted superb! I will definitely come back!

Very poor choice of vegan food at Pierrette. Give this place a miss if your diet is vegan or healthy. Twice I visited and the only vegan food available was a cheese sandwich on white bread or a boring looking chickpea salad with a use by date for today. I don't eat white bread as it's the least unhealthy opposition and crammed full of salt, sugar and bleach. On both my visits there was an abundance of choice of hot and cold food for those that eat flesh. Fortunately there are many other food outlets in this location that offer much better food choices for those with a vegan diet and welcome vegan customers.

Worker here is racist and rude! Really rude over the phone. Disconnects when I ask for his name and to speak to a manager! Says I thought you were black thats why I spoke to you like that.... I called to place an order for collection. The person collecting it was going to collect a family member then head to this HFC on the way home. I communicated this clearly to the person on the phone. The man (with a strong indian accent) was very rude and racist. He called me to inform me that the order is ready...I tell him the person is on their way to collect it and they are just picking a family member up from work before then. He immediately snaps at me and tell me why did I order this early then...pick up the order now! No you come now! He doesn't let me speak at all! he says in 30 mins we throw this away...you're an hour late...blah blah. No we ordered at 9.40...he said it was going to be ready in 30 mins...we were going to be there for 10.30!!! Last time I ordered at 10 they said they ran out of chicken or the pizza machine is closed?! What stupidity! Anyways the whole time I'm communicating this between the person collecting and the guy in the chicken shop. But he was moving like we weren't gonna come and collect it. We are regular customers! Very disappointing and disgusting behaviour from this man. I demand to speak to a manager and he says the manager is busy...and then check and comes back 5 mins later saying he is the manager. Am I stupid? His accent is so thick who is he fooling... I ask for his name and he gets defensive saying why are you asking for my name? What's your name? I'm not giving you my name? And then proceeds to hang up the call without letting me speak a word. He then calls back 5 mins later and says sorry ma'am...we are a business blah blah...u need to understand...understand what? That this is how you speak to regular customers?! He says I thought you were black and so you weren't gonna collect the food. EXCUSE ME? (I'm south asian) but that's racist and doesn't justify nothing I literally am keeping you updated on whos collecting the food and when and this is how you speak to me. How disgusting. And the manager hides away. This guy is the same guy being rude and disrespectful to other customers. Even when I came last time to the shop. You are losing customers keeping him there and you hiding away. I'm never coming here again. And keeping all my family and friends away!!

Ordered delivery - sent wrong drinks and missed my husbands Double cheeseburger so he had no meal then instead of sending it said they could only offer a refund which would mean I had to deliver the burger again and delivery would cost more than the burger 🤯 food was also cold.

My daughter and I visited late in the evening in August 2024. We were met by a staff member that needed training in how to greet customers. We placed our order and tapped my card on their device. She went and made the order then returned and asked me to pay again. Said she didnt see me pay. I said cheeck your machine for the last transaction. She said she couldn't and I shoukd sjow her my confirmation, which I could not because we were visiting from Barbados and I had no wifi. We left with no food but the serving staff were laughing suggesting that we were trying to scam them!!!! I have since received the confirmation and sent it to them but do not want to give me my money back. THIEVES!!! I won't bring race into this because I would hate to think that the Caucasians serving my black daughter and I, had challenges in that area. We went across the road to the Best Kebab in London and we're blown away by the Supreme service quality and food which was fantastic 👌🏾

I am disgusted by my experience this evening. Not only has the restaurant accepted my order on Deliveroo, but they have refused to answer my call and said they are in the phone. At three in the morning? A blatant lie. Corruption at its finest. I shall not be ordering from this venue in the future. Goodbye. Forever. X
