The best restaurants in Ouseburn Newcastle upon Tyne North East

I took a group of advanced motorcyclists to cafe 19 for breakfast. We were shown where to park when we arrived and greeted in an extremely warm and welcoming way. Food service was prompt and enjoyed by all of my colleagues. Thoroughly recommend this establishment .

Best cocktails in the whole of newcastle. The singer was really good, but WAY too loud.. give the man a acoustic guitar and no microphone. Would gave been much better without the loud music. Amazing bartender thou!! Came back a second time for the smokey old fashioned, and will return (and stay for a few if we could hear each other talk)

Absolutely fantastic breakfast burritos at affordable prices - one of my favourite places to grab a quick brekkie in Newcastle, especially to cure a hangover. I revisit it almost every time I’m in ncl, so good. It’s quite small so it’s not a sit down place but it’s also so close to heaton park so quite convenient.

A little hidden gem of an Asian Bakery, near Northumbria University 🥐 There is probably only 1 or 2 tables for dining in - which makes the experience even more exquisite. It was my very first time here - I remember my cousin recommending me this bakery, saying that this was perhaps one of the best. It's not located in Chinatown - just a little walk away from Northumbria University, and you come across this hidden gem. The baked goods sold are DELICIOUS. All freshly baked, and sold there and then. Green tea with egg yolk paste pastries, various cakes, swiss rolls of different varieties. I tried a few of them, and enjoyed all of it thoroughly. If you love Asian Pastries, this will certainly be a highlight.

Ha sido hoy y he oído que van a cerrar la próxima semana. Todo lo que puedo decir es que estoy decepcionada al oír esto, y que es un gran error de cierre, no importa a qué hora del día, se visita siempre está ocupado. Claramente alguien ha cometido un error! ! ! !

We were in there lunchtime today, the staff and food were fabulous. Richard the manager and Oscar were so attentive a great asset to this restaurant. I would highly recommend a visit.

Great little coffee van. Situated on Quayside. Coffee was lovely And he had a nice variety of drinks at good prices. Very friendly service. Would recommend it any time. Tuck Tuck is brilliant And lights up the Quayside in its yellow glory! Will visit again soon. Nice in a cold day when not much open, to get a nice hot drink ☕️☕️

Went for a meal here on Sunday night on the recommendation of a friend from Edinburgh. I must say the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Moreover, the staff were absolutely superb. Attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend if you are in Newcastle.

I've been going to the Big River Bakery for a long time and I can thoroughly recommend their stottie cakes (sorry Greggs - must do better). When you buy stotties in good old fashioned style when they are warm the staff ask if you want them in individual brown bags as it keeps them fresher when hot. The shop is nearly always busy and the staff are always cheerful and helpful. The community support offered by the Bakery is second to none and every purchase made helps but the prices remain very reasonable. Stotties can be frozen easily and defrost well. My next challenge is to try to get a chilli cheese baguette but they fly off the shelves faster than that overpriced drink beginning with a P did 12 months ago. A HUGE WELL DONE to everyone at Big River Bakery - you deserve it.

I booked a 3pm table on Friday for my husbands birthday on a weekend away in Newcastle. It did not disappoint. Service was great . The salad / sides bar was lovely the foccacia bread was amazing. The meats were brought around regularly. My fave was the rump steak, the gammon and the minted lamb. I had added to the booking that it was my husbands birthday and he had a little printed happy birthday on the table when we were seated and they also brought out a icecream happy birthday board at the end. Really lovely experience and we would definately return.

My husband and I visited here on the 15th March. The whole experience was a taste sensation from start to finish. Service was relaxed but attentive. Wine was spot on. Everything was perfect.

Lovely little cafe, extremely kind lady. Florence enjoyed her Easter egg and bunny.

Everything from entry to departure is spot on. Have a few drinks there asap. You wont be disappointed.

Came here for the scotch egg 🥚 and it was a good one !
