The best restaurants serving Default food in Wales

I came because I saw the 50% of sign as I walked past. I was in a bit of a rush, my waitress Krystal was brilliant! She took my order straight away. Let me know how long it would take and kept me updated with its progress. The food came within 10 minutes like she said. I was in and out in half an hour. She was super attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious as well. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful dinner, the food was excellent, and the staff were super friendly. It’s dog friendly there too. Will be back soon.

Went here for a birthday meal and the food and service was amazing. Arzoo, Radhika and Peter were great and made the experience even better.

Visited twice during our holiday and both evenings were excellent. All the staff were welcoming, informative and professional. Great atmosphere. The small plates all have an imaginative twist and having tried 10 different ones over the 2 visits there was no disappointment in any. Highly recommend.

Arrived at 11.55 am knowing lunch would start at 12.00, noon. The waitresses (very attentive) seated us by the servery and settled us with our drinks. We were advised they would bring the menus over when the last of the breakfast were served. All good at this point. Unfortunately at 12 .03 the cook/chef in the kitchen at the servery was heard asking the waitress if anyone was in for lunch? She said yes and his tone and response were a shock to hear. It was too much trouble for him to cope with at the time. The waitress then came over with the menu which we declined and advised we were leaving. Both waitresses apologised but it was not down to them, they were very professional and could not fault them. Such a shame, we have been going there for breakfasts and lunches, even took friends but this has definitely soiled our opinion of this establishment. Would not recommend as too much for the cook/chef to contend with.

Our second visit to Q&Q for a family Sunday lunch with grandma. The food was, as before, excellent with plenty of choice. Drinks for all tastes. Service was attentive, friendly and prompt. Prices very reasonable for quality and size of helpings. An altogether very pleasant and VFM experience - highly recommended.

Having had a caravan nearby for a few years, we had often walked past the outside of the restaurant. We had read the reviews and always wanted to have meal, but never seemed to get around. Needing to be at the van on a Monday, and staying over on a Sunday then we decided to take advantage a book in for a Sunday roast dinner. Having fair expectations we booked and arrived at the restaurant….. Wow… Home cooked food, with exceptional taste… fantastic friendly service and overall reasonable price for the quality of food. Yes we will be back and won’t leave it so long…

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Really crispy batter perfectly cooked and piping hot. The chips are to die for. You won't be disappointed and its such amazing value.

I walked by this lovely little place and saw the smoothie menu and had to try one. I’m very glad I did! I had the strawberry, banana, and mango smoothie made with apple juice. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. They also had lots of other lovely treats on the menu. Something for everyone. Quality was spot on and good price range too.

Lovely meal ar the superb Checkers - what a find in gorgeous Montgomery. Tasting menu was superb - the tasty ‘snacks’ at the outset set the standard for the rest of the meal. Stand outs were the brill and the beef courses but the carrot course was incredibly tasty too. Dessert courses also great - lemon posset with gel and strawberry with yoghurt, meringue and pistachios. Definitely worth a visit, great menu at a very good price.

I love this place. It's so small but so cute. There are some tables at the back, we had lots of fun playing with the travel trivia cards on the table! The coffee is lovely and staff are very friendly. It's a hidden gem!

Worth calling in but check when open first. The fishpie and the cheese & onion pie are very good. Unusual fruity salad. Try their hot chocolate - ott marshmallows & chocolate accompaniments. Very friendly, down to earth seaside cafe, maybe a bit pricey & the helpings could be a little smaller with a price cut for the lunch market as its not for dinner. We all enjoyed going there & what was on offer & the staff are lovely.

We tried the early bird menu at £13.95 each which was such good value for money. Beautiful starter - onion baghee and Chicken tikka starter. Beautifully presented. Mains were delicious too! All foid was so fresh!

I was so happy to find out nearly 40 years later that Mrs Will has taken over from her husband and is keeping the delicious catches coming. We had a lobster platter for two and it was better presented and tastier than any fish restaurant we've eaten in, anywhere in Europe. Fantastic!
