Very impressed with the broad menu and the standard of cooking and presentation. At our table we had sea bass , steak, lasagna and a salad - all could be highly recommended. The food was of course accompanied by several libations, all beautifully served by our server, Katie! Thanks for making our stay just great!

Visited Friday 12 th July two roast dinners cold roast potatoes asked for them to be warned up did it for us they asked us did we want any condiments we said mustard please fine served mustard then asked for bill they charged us £3 pound for the mustard which would be bad enough in any situation but served cold toasties and then charged for mustard and people wonder why restaurants and hotels are closing regularly I think £18 is enough for any roast dinner anywhere thanks

I attended The Rabbit restaurant for dinner with my partner and had an unpleasant experience with the front of house. On arrival, the front of house was very cold and unwelcoming, especially to myself. He asked for the reservation name abruptly and asked if we had any allergies. I advised them of my allergy. The front of house turned away and repeated my allergy a very judgemental and strange tone. I was taken aback as this felt judgmental and very strange as to why he was acting like this . He walked to our dinner table with little to no pleasantries, advised the soup of the day and repeated back my allergy, again with a rather judgemental tone. We were both taken aback by this and did not understand why the man had been unpleasant with me especially. On leaving the restaurant each waiter stood and greeted us on exiting, however the front of house simply stood at the bar and as we approached to turn and walk down the steps out of the restaurant, looked away and made no form of contact, clearly seeing us coming along and deciding to turn away. I have attended The Rabbit for numerous year and have generally had a good experience however this left me in rather bad taste and I am not impressed by that level of service from a place that fronts sophistication. I felt judged and the manner which this man served us with was cold and not what you’d expect of someone who is meant to be the front of house greeting your customers and showing them to your table. Very disappointed.

What a disappointment. My husband and I called into this cafe for tea and scones to end a lovely day out. We were shown to our table (16) immediately but that's were the good service finished. We watched as several groups came in and were served within 2 minutes. I even witnessed coffee and scones being served and thought great that's what I want. 15 later were were still waiting and I eventually asked a member of staff to find a server for me. The young girl then proceeded to inform me there were no more scones. I was so upset with the lack of service, and poor attitude I left the cafe after complaining to the manager. I have never done this before in any restaurant. There's a sign informing customers that they only have 1 hour to eat. That's a bit rich when they take 25% of that time to consider serving you. Never again.

Terrible. No filter coffee so I had to opt for an americano and pay £1.65 more. No clean tables. Spills and crumbs everywhere and bins full to the top. An that is at 05:45am! Staff don’t care - too busy talking about what they watched on telly last night. It is just a shame that the other options at Belfast International Airport are not much better

I was part of a group which ate at the Winter Mill restaurant in January 2024, and sadly none of us will be looking to repeat the experience. The soup starter was indifferent, but problems really began with the main courses, which in my case consisted of what was quite-obviously the starter version of the dish I’d ordered. Our waitress saw nothing wrong with the very-small portion offered, but was eventually prevailed upon to return with the full-size version of the dish. This was thankfully a bit warmer than the original offering, although the “grilled halloumi” centrepiece was actually deep-fried. We should have probably cut our losses at this point, but instead requested the dessert menu, which was duly presented after an interval of about fifteen minutes. Several of us ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which was tepid and stale to the extent that most of us abandoned our attempts to eat. Our waitress, once again, saw no reason to remark on dishes being returned three-quarters uneaten. I’ve given two stars rather than one as my dining companions fared somewhat better with their mains. The Winter Mill confidently aspires to the prices of a quality contemporary restaurant, but makes no effort to provide commensurate standards of food or service.
