The best restaurants serving Default food in Chieveley West Berkshire South East

Fourth visit and this one just as fabulous as the first three. Food and staff are amazing. open kitchen serving freshly made dishes. Simply brilliant. Thanks all, be back soon.

Very hard to find a place to park, couldn't find an escaltor, only stairs, near where I came in. Very crowded. I'm a senior and will not be going back.

A hidden gem. Excellent freshly made panini and reasonably priced with friendly service. Highly recommended. Pleasant woodland surroundings.

Unfortunately our meal was not what we hoped. We came after a good recommendation about Sunday roasts. We booked a Saturday evening to celebrate a 21st birthday. We were bit tucked away but not out of sight but definitely feel forgotten about. The taps menus sounded great and we ordered from these for starters, one item was forgotten, though after being reminded it was brought out to the table. To be fair this was pretty nice other than the calamari was a bit of cardboard and the bravas potatoes were underwhelming. The mains were unfortunately the biggest let down, vegetarian burger was overcooked and very dry, the seasonal veg with the pie was just cabbage, the haddock, though portion wise was fantastic, just didn’t taste like haddock at all. We had to ask for a drink 3 times before we got it being, had to ask for cutlery for starters and mains as not enough on the table, the table was only partially cleared before our mains arrived and we were never offered any deserts or coffees. It’s a lovely venue and I’m sure in the summers is lovely outside but unfortunately outside of coming in for a drink we wouldn’t eat here again. The main meals are priced fairly but feel the tapas is over priced.

Sorry, ordered the simplest of dishes, Chicken Curry, Egg Fried Rice and a Spring Roll. This is has been our takeaway for many years and is usually pretty good. Covid had an impact, the visible through a window takeaway section had to close and now food is cooked by the sister sit down restaurant next door. The Chicken Curry was awful, the sauce was almost cement like, way to much thickener it was the same shape as the plastic container when tipped out. The Spring Roll tasted weird, almost stale like. Unfortunately we won’t be going there again as it’s spoilt what would have been a nice evening, TV, Curry and a bottle of wine.

Lovely local pub, great food and plenty of room to eat, surprisingly bigger than it looks! Nice atmosphere, Plenty of locals but still friendly and welcoming. I ate alone and did not feel out of place

Super delicious dinner and breakfast buffet, friendly staff, would be happy to return

I haven’t drunk my coffee as I saw the assistant blown and wipe his nose and then pick up cups and saucers without washing or antibacterial hand gel use. Ugg 🙁

Vegan steak pastries were bland, overpriced and almost entirely vegetable with two tiny chunks of vegan steak. They had no alternative milks and my coffee cup was dented in a way that meant the lid wouldn't fit without leaking.

Same company but so different from Aldermaston. Relaxed atmosphere with comfort food. Macaroni cheese and fries. Macaroni best I’ve had, except mum’s.

Everyone was clueless however Jake was amazing and we had a great chat what a lad 🙏🙏

On our way to Bournemouth we had a comfort stop at Chieveley services we manage to purchase 2 lovely decaf coffee's at Costa coffee we recieved quick friendly service I enjoy the blend of coffee served collecting the bean's is a good incentive.

Worst latte and chocolate I have ever had in Costa. Latte was watery, not creamy at all. Chocolate was barely different from latte, again watery and acid, even milk was not good. Not sure how they dare to write "Italian" on the tray 🙂
