The best restaurants serving Default food in Alfriston Wealden South East

Ordered a Stalla Artois tasted off, replaced by Camden, same flavour!! Ordered Scotch egg and black Stick with piccalilli. Sausage meat was tainted, the egg was perfectly cooked. The main course was sausage and bubble and squeak mash with parsnip crisps. Very sweet, the bubble and squeak had never seen a frying pan. (Just mash with petit pois and diced carrot) no cabbage. at all. 2 out of the 3 sausages had a tainted flavour ( on their way out) the one sausage that wasn't was excellent, the jus was nice albeit very sweet. A nice touch was a complimentary amuse bouche which was falafel with sweet red pepper. Very flavoursome although over fried.

What a fantastic place.The staff where wonderful and inviting.The food was very good.We also had the pleasure of meeting Alex who was there.We will be returning.

Love this pub. It’s a proper proper pub with good pub food and ale. Thank you for keeping it as a proper pub and no nonsense!

Lovely visit this week for refreshments. Tempted by fruit scones. Have to say they were the best scones I have had for a very long time - I remarked they were equal to the scones I had at the Ritz!! Lovely cafe and garden - well worth a visit!

Very poor food cold smelly staff did not care waited a long time they did not want us there the table cloths were not clean there was food on the floor
