The best restaurants serving Default food in Dormansland and Felcourt Tandridge South East

We’ve eaten at The Royal Oak on a number of occasions over the last few months and we’ve never been disappointed. The Sunday Roast is impressive, with a good selection of perfectly cooked vegetables and succulent meat. So far we’ve tried the Thai curry, seafood linguine, sea bass and sea bream- all with lovely fresh vegetables. Today we all had steak with king prawns. The chips were crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy inside. The steak was the best I’ve had- perfectly tender. We were all impressed. I would definitely recommend!

Excellent food just felt cold indoors despite being next to a log fire.

After a walk from East Grinstead the Old House At Home is a fantastic place to stop and have a few ciders. Sitting outside with the sun shining on you is just perfect.

This was held on the last Sunday in the month and was always an excellent meal. Nice people in a wonderful setting. It is a shame it has closed and I wish them well in retirement.

Lovely staff, kitchen was extremely slow or they forgot the order. It was 55 minutes before food came out and it wasn’t busy. Steak had this peculiar hard rim like someone forgot to cut the tendon. Presentation was basic at best. Desert was crème brûlée , meh although orange flavour twist was interesting.

Had a very good meal at Cyprium Restaurant. We just had a main and a sweet. My wife had the Stroganoff which she thought was very good. I had the pan fried hake fillet which was excellent. Both meals were nice and hot and served fairly quickly after ordering so first class service from the kitchen and serving staff. We each had the Chocolate Hazelnut Sphere which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Presentation was great with a selection of fresh fruit. Just wish we had taken a photo. We had a glass of wine each and it was served in very nice appropriate glasses. The severs were polite and attentive. The ambience could be improved as the absence of soft furnishings meant that the noise level was higher than we would have preferred.. But all in all we had a very good evening and would definitely recommend.
