4.5 out of 5 stars. Myself and some friends came here for a psychic night. The food was lovely especially the homemade scotch eggs. Staff were friendly too

Excellent food just felt cold indoors despite being next to a log fire.

Visited for lunch on Mother’s Day 2025 with two fussy teenage twin daughters. The girls had roast chicken and my wife and I had roast lamb. I had not read reviews and I wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary… the food was fantastic! All hot, all together, Yorkshire pudding crispy perfect. Generous portions with lots of perfectly cooked veg and gravy. The cauliflower cheese as a side was very good and enough for us all to share. Desert was chocolate brownies for the girls and my wife and I shared the bread and butter pudding. The portions were generous and brownies exceptional, sweet, and ever so slightly chewy. Thanks to everybody and hats off to the chef (chefs)… we now have a new favorite restaurant/pub and we will be back soon.

This was held on the last Sunday in the month and was always an excellent meal. Nice people in a wonderful setting. It is a shame it has closed and I wish them well in retirement.

Possibly the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. £35 for three courses so not particularly cheap. Baba ghanoush was vile, followed by a dusty "wagyu" burger (lies lies lies - no wagyu beef in that burger - Possibly no beef at all) and a brownie Sundae (cheap yellow ice cream- I won't call it vanilla - and shop bought pieces of hard brownie). They should be ashamed to serve this let alone charge for it. I was part of a business conference group, and it was just garbage. I hope my colleagues refused to pay. Most of us didn't even eat the food.

Had a very good meal at Cyprium Restaurant. We just had a main and a sweet. My wife had the Stroganoff which she thought was very good. I had the pan fried hake fillet which was excellent. Both meals were nice and hot and served fairly quickly after ordering so first class service from the kitchen and serving staff. We each had the Chocolate Hazelnut Sphere which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Presentation was great with a selection of fresh fruit. Just wish we had taken a photo. We had a glass of wine each and it was served in very nice appropriate glasses. The severs were polite and attentive. The ambience could be improved as the absence of soft furnishings meant that the noise level was higher than we would have preferred.. But all in all we had a very good evening and would definitely recommend.
