Fantastic pub. Full of friendship and human warmth. A hut lost in Oxfordshire with good embers in the stove and in hearts.

Our first visit to the Maltsers Arms pub and we will be back. We choose the fish and chips, chicken/leek/ham pie and sausage and mash - good portion sizes and delicious. Had room for dessert too - yum. Friendly service and staff. An enjoyable afternoon followed by a circular walk.

Excellent except not wheelchair friendly there is no parking areas for wheelchair and no ramps through doorways if they could improve this it would be top star

Poor service and poor food. Has gone downhill to what we’ve had before. Menu choice was very poor and had to choose the only dish I liked. The fried Brie wedges to start had no Brie in them as they had been over fried. Main course was cold and £15 for a cheese board, which only had 3 pieces of small cheese on and a few Jacob’s crackers was over priced. The service was poor and we were the only ones eating there. This used to be a great pub for food but feel it is now just overpriced and has an easy boring menu choice.

Perfect little friendly shop , I actually thought oh I’m really hungry I wonder if thier is breakfast is any good , well what a nice surprise that was , bang on with that 9 out of ten for that one , clean, cooked perfect , presentation spot on , if I had one very slight niggle and it is slight , sausages aret all that , I normally go to buddies cafe by the station in henley and thier bangers are the best I’ve ever had , and I know the get theirs from A&b butchers in Maidenhead , they are catering butchers wholesalers , or it would be 10 out of 10 , just a tip for you , and thank you for the great service and fair price for a top notch breakfast

Mother's Day was made extra special by having lunch here. The food was exceptional. Delicious and full of flavour. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely touch was a glass of champagne for "the Mum"! I cannot recommend The Golden Ball highly enough .. there are not enough superlatives to do it justice. Bring your family and friends for the very best dining experience.

Had a fantastic Saturday lunch at The Rising Sun. Service was friendly and professional, food was delicious (triple chocolate brownie was beyond belief!) and I especially enjoyed the option to drink Stonewall Inn IPA. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We were invited back after a bad experience we love the hungry horse chain and I am pleased to say on our second visit the service and food were very good and we willbe back again

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Great food , attentive staff, a great experience! We’ll be back and recommend to friends. Can’t wait to visit again, perhaps for an evening meal this time!
