The best restaurants serving Default food in Clandon and Horsley Guildford South East

We were a party of 25 guides from a South Coast museum who visited West Horsley Place in the morning. West Horsley Place staff recommended the King William IV as a place to eat. They were not wrong. We ordered our meals prior to arrival. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Tables reserved for us. We were given time to buy drinks and settle before the food arrived. Very slick. All served at the same time. So no one hanging about for food whilst the rest of us tucked in. Food delicious and high quality. The battered fish main meal and the Cumberland sausage main meal especially popular with the group and enjoyed by all. Highly recommend. It's a shame it is not closer to our homes otherwise it would be perfect local for us.

Visited the garden centre and stayed for lunch. Had a wide variety of food on the menu. Food came quite quickly and staff were very polite. Would recommend it.

Stayed here for two nights. Easy check in. Problem we had the first night was that the heated towel rail in the bathroom was giving off so much heat that it was making the room very hot. I spoke to a member of staff the following morning and they managed to get someone to turn it down for us. We had to wait a while for our breakfast on the second morning. We found the manager that was on evening and breakfast was very helpful and friendly

Really nice atmosphere, busy but not crowded. Service slow at first but was fine after initial delay in ordering and getting drinks. Food was very good - Sunday roast. Sharing boards to start was a highlight.

Very friendly staff particularly the lovely Australian waitress who was very knowledgeable to the menu and the wines available :-) Service really was very good and the food ordered by everybody in our group was not only presented well but tasted lovely....particularly the beef and ale pie :-) Would definitely recommend a visit to The Duke Of Wellington.
