The best restaurants serving Default food in East Hampshire South East

We had originally booked a table for 8.45 but popped in to ask if we could change the time to 9.30 which they agreed. I think this was a mistake as we were the only people in the restaurant and treated like a total inconvenience, no conversation told we had a time limit to order food very abrupt, standing at bar just waiting for us to go. Food was way too salty and chicken so dry. Decided to let the floor manager know how we felt but he had no interest totally dismissing us, laughing at us while we talked. Been using this restaurant for twenty years as it’s our local but never again.

I visited Crookley Park Estate Cafe with one of my friends for our monthly catchup… It was the first time we had visited here, and it is set in some nice surroundings. It was Tuesday lunchtime that we visited, and the place was very busy indeed. There was a reasonable amount of parking when we arrived. The food was nice and reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant, and the food arrived promptly. The only real issue I had was the ambient noise from all the diners… I know I am an older chap, and my hearing is not as good as it use to be, but I had to work really hard to have a conversation with my friend. I guess there is not much that could be done to overcome this issue. Would I go back? Only if I could be sure that it was going to be quiet. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting. Visit in around 2017-2018 1. Terrible service 2. Food that you can buy in shops such as products like Frys, they sell frozen products. I would rather go home and have it 3. Long wait 4. Unclean workers 5. Bland decor 6. The place has a ego about it…but all I see is tack. Is this place closed down? I swear I heard it was. I’m all for vegan places opening up. But this place is doing nothing good. They’re just rude and unfriendly

Amazing food and very friendly staff!

Such friendly staff. Delicious and reasonably priced Sunday lunch. The garden was delightful. Would be very happy to make the trip again.

A real gem, local hub and felt friendly and welcoming, amazing choice of outstanding quality food with fabulous friendly and efficient staff, a little noisy due to number of babies and children but it is a local hub so not unexpected would definitely go again and I’m not child friendly!!

Family run coffee shop , friendly. Great for coffee, the staff is very friendly and there is excellent variety of breakfast.

Had late lunch here. Very limited menu, I assume because of covid. Had the caesare salad, which is basically a bowl the size of a mixing bowl full of lettuce and small amount of chicken, cheese and croutons. Terrible way to serve this. No one was being encouraged to wear a mask when going inside to use the toilets. The young staff were very helpful and gave a very good service. Food and drink very overpriced.

Great location for families and friends to visit great food and tea and coffee ☕ great walks near by parking near by nice hot chocolate and 🍰

Fresh, very good quality, large portions and reasonably priced..... Happy to be a regular customer and highly recommended.

Nice enough tasting kebab but was of a kids size and fairly pricey. Probably four chunks of chicken in total. Doesn’t achieve goal of filling you up so will not return.

Ordered for the first time from horndean pizza shop. Well, what can I say just wow! Our pizza was huge and by far the best pizza I’ve had! We ordered a few sides and I just cannot express how amazing everything was! Can’t wait to order again! So tasty and fresh! Beautiful 10/10 from us! 🌟

Excellent bakery and coffee. Stopped here on the way home from the coast, it is truly amazing. The choice of bread, cake and rolls is superb. We had filled rolls and sausage roll with coffee , so good had to take some bread and cakes home. The only problem is that I live too far away to visit more often.

I regularly visit this cafe. Excellent service. Food v good value for money. Menu regularly reviewd. Pop up evening meals very good. A real asset to the village. Ambience friendly with a real buzz.

First time to the Folly, and we were not disappointed, great service, great choice, great food, with great prices. Will return and recommended
