Earth Restaurant and Takeaway in East Hampshire

Visit in around 2017-2018 1. Terrible service 2. Food that you can buy in shops such as products like Frys, they sell frozen products. I would rather go home and have it 3. Long wait 4. Unclean workers 5. Bland decor 6. The place has a ego about it…but all I see is tack. Is this place closed down? I swear I heard it was. I’m all for vegan places opening up. But this place is doing nothing good. They’re just rude and unfriendly

This used to be an AMAZING vegan place, the food was simple but great and the sort of thing you have as a real treat. I visited recently with a friend and we were so disappointed. We waited over an hour for our drink, the poor waitress taking orders and cooking asked the owner for help as it was getting busy and we heard him say "well I'm working you're going to have to deal with it" as he was typing away on a laptop. We were told our food would take 15 minutes but it came out just after the drinks and hour later. We could tell the owner was then really over compensating for the wait, we were starving by then so ate the food quickly and left. The decor has become really bizarre, some random items we assumed came from the owners house - really out of place and not a relaxing atmosphere anymore. I wish they hadn't made these changes, it's such a shame to ruin something that was perfect! The menu is now too complicated, looks like they've tried to make it fancier when there was no need.

I’m currently having to self isolate due to Covid, however the restaurant deliver and I was very impressed from the packaging to the food itself. I’m by no means vegan and I really would have enjoyed cheese, that said, the burger was the best no meat burger I’ve had in a long time. I have to say it was the best meal I’ve had all week. The dirty fries were were sweet and spicy with just the right crispness. If I’m ever out for lunch I’ll definitely be going here again.

The food was so good I can’t write a bad review. But it was really annoying after ordering to be told what I wanted was out of stock and could only swap within the category I first selected. I couldn’t take calls as was in a full day meeting so had pre ordered for a specific time but they did text to let me know . Was told I could get 10% off next order but haven’t seen any email with code etc.

We had seen the menu a while back and decided that we needed to come back to Earth to try it out however noticed the menu had changed from before and was now somewhat lacking. Nevertheless we stayed and ordered a burger each. We had to wait forever. The feel of the holistic, tree hugging restaurant was unfortunately ruined as we sat there and watched the male member of staff arguing with the traffic warden having parked illegally outside in his van and then returned expecting us to support the fact he was parked somewhere he shouldn’t be and laugh when he made comments about her doing her job. I asked for some condiments to go with my bland chips and they didn’t arrive. Half way through my meal I had to get up, queue and ask the same bloke as above for them as he had clearly forgotten. As we left the restaurant we saw matey boy again, clearly out delivering food driving like an absolute lunatic. Swerving all over the road at a stupid speed through the town centre. Nobody thinks it’s cool to drive a beaten up van like an idiot metres away from us going about our business. While the look of the place talks the talk, it wasn’t a pleasant experience and we shan’t be returning.

From the signage and decor this cafe markets itself as an ethical, wholefood cafe. I was surprised when I saw the menu - based around fake meat substitutes and fries. Still, we thought we'd give it a go. The hot chocolate and the milkshake were delicious. The food was sadly mediocre and over priced. We ordered dirty fries and expected a mound of ingredients smothered in melted cheese. We received a pretty sad looking tray of fries sprinkled with non melted grated cheese, soya pulled pork and some sauce. You win some you lose some. I was mainly annoyed by the unnecessary use of disposable plastic for customers eating in. Plastic milkshake container, tray, sandwich box and a disposable cup. It wasn't busy so we wondered why they werent using washable items. I think this cafe needs to decide what it wants to be. If it was marketed as a funky vegan burger joint, customers maybe wouldn't be disappointed by the lack of real, healthy food and lack of environmental considerations. I would personally prefer to see more wholefood, ethical cafes. These serve to introduce people to real, healthy plant based food. I would hate people to get the impression that vegan food choices consist of nothing more than fake cheese, fake pork, fake duck, fake milk and fake beef! As let's face it, no meat eater is going to make the switch after eating these inferior alternatives.

We were looking forward to our visit, as we had a meal at Earth about a year ago which was very good. We found a table and I ordered a sausage and onion chutney sandwich for my husband and a chicken wrap for myself. The sandwich was ready made & was served straight away. The wrap had to be made and after 40 minutes had still not appeared. I enquired about the wrap, and it was clear that the order hadn't gone through. After another 15 minutes, a hastily assembled wrap was delivered. The tortilla and filling was stone cold & not what I had ordered. So I asked for a refund which was gladly given. I really expected more.

Trendy eaterie prices but only average food. Loads of books and inspirational graffiti on the walls but weren't serving coffee because they couldn't work the machine. Friendly staff opened a packaged sandwich for us and put it on a plate, then dropped a handful of grated vegan cheese on some oven chips. Smiled nicely while telling us that they had ran out of one of the 4 ingredients in the dirty chips and gave us a cherry good bye after charging 18 quid. The hot chocolate was very nice.

I originally posted this review on google but though it might also be worth posting here after the owners replied. *updated 30/08/20* Took about an hour from arriving to getting our food despite a booking. There where two other groups there and the staff claimed they where rushed. The staff and owners seemed like they had never been to a restaurant let alone knew how to run one. They did apologise for the delay and offer a discount on our next visit but didn't take any details from us, so I didn't know how that would happen. None of the staff had any ppe. The food was just meh. I won't bother going back. Update So I thought after having a not particular positive experience of a restaurant and writing a review I thought could just forget about it and just not visit again. But after the aggressive and accusatory reply to my initial review and the owners rant on social media I feel the need to respond and add some detail. 1. What kind of eatery you classify yourself as doesn't have a bearing to the quality of service you provide. Why bring this up. 2. Without prompting during our visit you felt the need to apologise for how slow things where. That's when you could have realised maybe something your doing wasn't working. At that point offering a unspecified discount on our next visit isn't best the way to get a return visit. Had you done something at the time and dealt with the then current situation it may have lead to us leaving in a better frame of mind. 3. There is a deadly virus circulating that often leaves those lucky enough to survive with lifelong health problems. Personal beliefs aside that's the fact of the current situation. Though you are free to do what you want its a curtsey to your customers to make at least the bare minimum effort to prevent the potential spread of the virus to your customer and staff. 4. You pride yourself on customer service then prove it with your actions. We arrived on time for your booking went to the counter and where told someone would bring us menus. We had to go back to the counter ten minutes later to get the menus at this point someone said they would be over to take our drinks order. That never happened someone had to go to the counter again. Some of the drinks arrived wrong again someone had to go to the counter. After another wait no one took our food order so again someone had to go to the counter at this point we where told our food would be half an hour. We could see from our table the staff spent most of their time just chatting to a group at the bar. 5. We where offered an unspecified discount for our next visit by who I assume was the owner when he came to apologies for the wait. He then walked off after not taking any details from us or saying how we could redeem that discount. Now seeing that the discount offered for our food taking an hour to arrive is 10% I'm somewhat insulted on our order that would be about £4.10. For wasting 4 peoples time with frustratingly poor service your offer of compensation is "if" we return barely enough of a discount to cover a single side dish. 6. By the time the food arrived my experience was already a negative one. It was just the cherry on top of a bad dinning experience. The food when it arrived was just "meh" I standby that statement. The food wasn't bad enough that as a hungry person I wouldn't eat it but I wouldn't spend money on it again. The peri frys had much peri salt on them (to the point it was a bit like the cinnamon challenge) and had no crunch to them. The nuggets didn't have a texture to them and tasted a bit bland. There where no condiments on the table and we weren't offered any. Someone could have gone to the counter to ask for some but at this point we where just fed up and wanted to eat and leaving quickly. 7. We had a crappy experience and left a truthful review (as have others going by other reviews). Then received an aggressive and accusatory reply. Why would I go near the building again. This wasn't my first visit to earth I've been several times in the past as well as getting a Birthday cake from them. Till my most recent visit had only positive things say. Since the change of ownership it appears things have gone down hill. Learn from your mistakes.

Fantastic visit to this amazing little place, they have changed it around since our last visit, they have introduced a set of drums in the front window and a huge chalk board on one of the walls encouraging inspirational quotes and messages. A big group of us visited, 6 children ranging from 13 to 2 months and 3 adults. The staff were so kind and cheery, and happy for the children to have a go on the drums and we all put messages on the wall. The food was yummy and pleased all of the age ranges including over 60, and the milkshakes are delicious. Lovely tasty cakes and cookies. All plant based too, wonderful.

Earth WAS amazing. We frequently and happily drove the 1.5 hour round trip from Southampton to Petersfield for our Earth Burgers and milkshakes. So lovely. When I took my whole family there today for my birthday, including the murderous meat eaters, I was horrified to see a distressingly weak menu. Why on earth, Earth?! The new management must be utterly moronic. It was EXCELLENT! Now it is rubbish. The milkshakes are still amazing if you’re prepared to wait. Why change THAT menu?! It was epic! Absolutely mindless. Change it back immediately or we will not be back. Idiot!

We have been travelling to eat at Earth since it opened. Our family love it and it is a real treat to have good dirty vegan food. We pre booked for my husbands birthday today. I was told on the phone that the menu had changed but there isn't even a burger on the menu.:'( 2 of our party are gluten free and although there was an option it was like a microwave meal, the pasta was too hard to eat in places. Our parties food all arrived at different times which was annoying as we were eating while some our party weren't and theirs came once we had finished. I had to keep going up to the counter to ask where various dishes were (no update). It was really poor and the food was nothing compared to what we have experienced at Earth before. On airing our views we were given 10% off 2 milkshakes and a free one. I felt a bit disappointed as there seemed to be no senior member of staff. The counter staff had to call the manager on the phone. The counter staff disclosed that one was on her 3rd weekend and one had only started that day. It is really sad to see this business decline as I believe the manager is very passionate. Back to basics mate!! If it isn't broken, don't fix it!!! We had a great time on the drums in the front but it did look like someone had been living there with random items spread around. Sadly we wont be back. Good luck. :)

Whoever came in and completely changed the Earth menu should be arrested. They've taken something amazingly tasty and simple and crammed pretenscious brooklyn hipster BS down loyal Earth customers throats. It's a sad day as I will never return to Petersfield. I guess global warming isn't the only thing ruining Earth. Smh.

I went to Earth today for a quick vegan burger after a long walk - the Big Earth Burger tastes IDENTICAL to a Big Mac - however when I looked at the menu there were no burgers at all! A big blow for an Earth burger lover like me, and I’m sure to anyone else who went to earth exclusively for the burgers! When I asked the lady working at the counter she said the menu had changed due to new management. With the absence of the burgers, the menu basically consists of chicken style wraps and loaded fries (along with cakes and drinks), which is devastating as vegan chicken can be quite easily made at home and put in a wrap, but making a 10/10 vegan Big Mac replica takes more hunting! Such a shame, the burgers were so important for the fast food style thing they had going, and the menu didn’t really offer anything as a replacement! So gutted, I will go back to Earth when the burgers are back!! Still a lovely place to go and have lunch, not to put people off - if you’ve never had the burgers then you don’t know what you’re missing! Lovely feeling about the place and staff are always very friendly and helpful, definitely still worth a visit!

We heard about this place in advance and looked at the menu to see a lot of food, and we were all very excited (myself, vegan sister, veggie parents, omni nephew). When we got there, the menu had changed considerably, probably due to covid which was fine. But half of the stuff that was on the menu wasn’t even being served anymore, and we were told to look on Instagram to see what was available! I got a seitan chicken thing, which was not a meal. It was just some seitan chicken pieces (which were DELICIOUS), some cucumber, and some onion. It was so delicious but again, it wasn’t a meal. It should have had more with it and I was still hungry afterwards. The curries that my parents ordered could not be made because the machine was broken that was used to heat them up. There was only one member of staff there doing everything so service was very slow. I would go again if there was an expanded menu and if the service was better, because of the food that I did try, it was very tasty and fresh.

For fast vegan food in this area, the food was good. However the service was lacking considerably. We booked ahead and there was only one other table occupied, yet weren’t acknowledged when we first arrived. We were asked to take a seat and told they would come to us, however after waiting 20 minutes we went up to order and were told food would take half an hour. Wraps and sandwiches were not detailed on the menu and they gave vague answers as to what those options were. It would have been helpful to have a blackboard with the wrap options. Ordered black tea which after being chased for came 15 minutes later with milk. Manager did apologise for the wait and offered a discount next time, unsure how we would ever claim that discount and honestly doubt whether we would return. We acknowledge that, although it was quiet, they felt they were short staffed but even so it could have been dealt with far better. As new owners I hope that they are able to improve on this as we desperately need good vegan places locally and had high hopes.

Very nice sweet potato curry as afternoon meal. Nice to find an alternative to sandwiches that cost the same in pubs. This was clean to the palate and the naan bread sweet . I questioned the recyclable plate as against a ceramic one and was given good ethical answers. I liked these people and they are open through the afternoon (always handy in petersfield).

Excellent vegan milk shakes, sadly the food took 45mins, but was hot and fresh. I enjoyed the food but I feel it was expensive for what seemed like a Linda McCartney 1/4 pounder with trimmings. This is my second visit in 2 years. The service last time was also really slow and my advise would be to just inform customers of the wait, or to have more than one member of kitchen staff/up kitchen capacity. Another note was that the restaurant was full or random objects ranging from skates and drum kits , to actual recording equipment on tables, restaurant bills and stock sheets on full view On tables and bags of aggregate in the bathrooms . No menus were to be found and I had to use the menu from the website. Tables were not being cleared either No clear ‘social distancing’ protocols. The staff were polite but I think let down by the lack of management /guidance and customer communication. Sadly I will not be returning , I hope others have a better experience as this place has potential to be really good

We stopped off at this restaurant on the way to the seaside. The place is very well presented and has a COVID policy in place to keep people safe. On arrival we were greeted by the staff and our order was taken. Now don’t expect fast food, this place cooks it properly and when the food comes it’s piping hot and well worth the wait. We opted for the quarter pounder with cheese, chips and a milkshake (Oreo and Biscoff). The quality of the food is off the scale and the milkshakes are so thick the straw stands up on its own. I would highly recommend Earth for lunch.Top Tip, you can take your dog with you and sit in the dog friendly garden. They seem to agree the chips are lovely.

Fantastic brunch. We had a hamburger, BBQ Burger and fries, two smoothies and a brownie. Service was pretty fast and food was freshly cooked and tasted amazing. We will definitely be back.

The food I have had is always really nice. However, I had to wait 50 minutes for 2 burgers today. 1 person cooking and 1 serving just isn't enough. Others doing it just as well but a lot quicker. A real shame.

Went to Earth on a very rainy day with daughters and grandchildren. Enjoyed everything we ordered and the friendliness of the staff. Vegans need to support this place and its ethics - so good to know that you don't have to worry about any ingredients, or have to ask for a specific, cruelty-free menu.

The food here is always great, its worth the price. The owner is really kind and chatty and makes us feel welcome. The milkshake are the best I've ever had, you cant even taste that its vegan. We have been regular customers for a month now and Its our new favourite place to eat. I recommend it everyone, even if they're not vegan.

It's a very much loved treat for us all to sit and eat together as a vegan family. My son, his girlfriend and I have visited Earth Restaurant a number of times and enjoyed the delicious, vegan-friendly wares. The restaurant area is immaculately clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff are knowledgeable, but not as welcoming as I would have anticipated and service is very slow.Value for money is questionable, it is very expensive and not much by way of portion size for what you pay... Having seen some of the recent reviews, we were lucky to have not experienced the cafe closed or not taking orders each time we have paid a visit. I am keen to support any opportunity to support and promote vegan establishments, I hope that I can continue to look forward to our next visit, as it would be great to see some healthier options available, other than burgers and fries...

First and last visit.Paying a lot of money for food is worth it only when the service and taste matches it. In this case unfortunately this is not the case. So...1. Insanely expensive. Why exactly?2. No coke or sparking water in stock.3. Being told by staff that they are new and short staffed says it all4 Long wait for food5. Not serving all the food to all of us at the same time and then having to wait while other people eat. What is the point of this place? We were the only customers in there so what on Earth would it be like if there were more?To be honest, McDonald’s is better. I just don’t see the attraction to this place. They need to really up their game. Either that or reduce the prices.

I have really mixed feelings about Earth. I love the idea, and sometimes I really enjoy the visit. We've eaten here around a dozen times, and there's no denying that it's expensive, but I've always felt that it's worth paying extra for a more ethical approach. However, many of the poor reviews are justified in that the wait for service, and the wait for your order can be just too long. When you go to the counter, you're often met with complete silence, rather than "I'll be with you in a minute" or maybe "Sorry for the wait". I can't help feeling this is just inexperience, as many of the staff are very young, and look like they're doing a lot (i.e it looks under-staffed).The food is basically burgers and chips, but very well conceived and entirely vegan. There are other options, such as wraps and sandwiches, but the burgers are the star as far as I'm concerned.They also do a nice selection of cakes and puddings, but all too often aren't available because they've run out.I really want this place to succeed, but I worry for it's future when it could easily be so much better with just a little more effort put into customer service. It could so easily be five stars....

We'd heard lots about Earth and made the journey to try them out. Checking their website first they said they were open till 4pm on a Sunday. We tried to call ahead but none of the numbers listed worked. They all just went to answering machine. However we thought that since we'd be arriving there way before 4pm that we'd be fine. We were wrong! We walked into the restaurant at 3:20pm, 40mins before advertised closing time. The outside door was still open and there were people in there waiting for their food. At the desk was a small board that said No More Orders on it. No one behind the till spoke up to inform us they weren't taking any more orders, they just carried on with what they were doing. When I asked about the sign I was abruptly told they were not serving anymore. There was no apology or explanation as to why they didn't want my business. No where on their website did it say about orders finishing earlier than the advertised opening hours. We will never be making the effort to return to Earth now after the awful service we received. I'd recommend anyone who does venture there to go way before their advertised closing times.

Firstly, the prices are extortion. I expect ‘specialist’ food to be more expensive, but this will cost you 100% (literally double) the price of a traditional ‘fast food’ joint. The staff are slow, inattentive and lack the capability to pass on kitchen timings. The wait is often long, on this occasion it was 50 minutes. There’s nothing ‘fast’ about this fast food. The quality of the food is reasonable but not as exceptional as some reviewers would imply. A nice change, but cheap quality chips and buns let them down. The burgers are made well, but fall apart in your hand. I would return, but hopefully I wouldn’t have to wait nearly an hour for a burger and chips. Oh, and a milkshake of a decent size is over £6 and takes 30 minutes to be made.

When I first moved to Petersfield I was so excited to have local vegan takeaway. We have ordered food from them many times, and recently every time has been disappointing. Their opening hours are pointless, you can never guarantee that they will be open. Many times we have planned to have a cheeky takeaway from them and been met with an early closure.

We love the food here. Yes, it is expensive, not sure why, but we view it as an occasional treat. Ate here on the way home from a break in Wiltshire on Friday 13th Sept. Served eventually by a miserable looking girl who looked as if she'd much rather be somewhere else. Only a few customers in when we arrived. Once we were acknowledged (we did all the talking) we got served our drinks quickly by a much friendlier girl in black.

A great spot for some vegan fast food. This is in my hometown and I had the chance to grab a bite while visiting. Very friendly staff, delicious food and chilled our environment. Highly recommended

If you're craving a filthy but delicious fast food hit, Earth is the place to go. Everything on the menu is vegan and mouth-wateringly good. I had the fried chicken burger with bacon and cheese (yep, 100% vegan) and my husband had the quarter pounder with crispy onions and pepper-jack (still vegan). There are so many average veggie burgers out there, but Earth is the real deal. Oh and you're saving the planet and animal's lives by not eating meat. It's win win.

my favourite takeaway, it’s just not open long enough in the evening. I’ve had 2 meals from there and both have been super. Well cooked, polite service and seriously tasty!

Generally the food is good however customers pay a heavy premium for the same vegan burgers you'd find in most supermarkets! If there were more vegan restaurants similar to Earth in the local area, I feel Earth would have to rethink their prices however there aren't many other vegan places to eat so I suppose Earth can charge what they like...

Went here with my brother for lunch, as he is vegan and we were in the area. It was a lovely sunny day and we decided to eat in the small garden area, which had umbrellas for shade. I ordered the 1/4 cheese burger with bacon and a side of coleslaw. My brother had cheeseburger and chips. I can honestly say it was the nicest burger I have ever had: tasty and very filling. I had an elderflower soda and it too tasted lovely. I don't understand the comments that it is expensive. I find it on a par with all small restaurants and cafes, and you are not eating "cheap" Wetherspoons rubbish here! Would eat here again definitely.

8 quid for a falafel wrap? I thought I was paying extra to help save the planet, not singlehandedly funding NASA to find another planet for us to live on. Distinctly average food.

We frequent Earth since I am a Vegan, but the rest of my family and friends love eating there too since the food is excellent. Sometimes it gets a bit busy, but you can ring ahead and make your order that way.

I find most people that Review vegan restaurants just say they're fantastic purely because they're only vegan.

This place never disappoints. The best burgers I've had since going vegan, hands down! Amazing.

I enjoyed a lunch of vegan Cheeseburger, with sides of coleslaw and avocado. Very filling. My partner had vegan fish and chips and he said it was delicious !Quite busy place at lunchtime on Saturday but a smile and good service from friendly staff. As vegans we like to pop in when shopping in Petersfield as we have the choice of everything on the menu. The banana cake is amazing, if any room is left for desserts.

I've been vegan for 3 years and this is my favourite vegan restaurant ever. My Dad lives in Petersfield so me and my non-vegan sisters come to Earth whenever we're in Petersfield. Their milkshakes are so good, the soda is amazing, the fries are great, and the burgers. Last time we visited they had pizza rolls which were incredible - I felt guilty eating them because they tasted just like the real thing. The menus have real facts on the back about the effect that animal products have on the body and animal agriculture and the effects it has on the planet. Also their packaging is compostable, including the plastic that they use (it's special compostable plastic). Their ethics and values are in the right place and I look forward to a world where most if not all restaurants cater to vegans and use compostable/natural packaging materials. I love Earth so so so much <3

This looks like a Diner in style, and indeed it does burgers but these are 100% vegan. There are also sandwiches to take away.

Our first experience here was not great, in that we waited for ages to be served only to find our order had not been processed. When we got the food tho, it was lovely enough for us to give it another go. We've been back several times & the service has been great, so our first visit was clearly a blip. The "burgers" are delicious, my partner can't tell the difference with the chicken wrap. We order the same thing each time as it's so tasty! It's a bit of a fast-foody set up, which we wouldn't normally go for, but the ethics win us over.

I had the chicken burger and my husband had the BBQ beef, we also had a side of chicken poppers and fries. I can honestly say everything was delicious and we can’t wait to go back.

I was very excited to hear of a vegan restaurant in Petersfield, I am a great appreciator of vegan cuisine - the great vibrancy and creativity that can go in to plant based cooking.

What an absolute gem! We visited back in January following a day out with friends. The food was amazing and obviously it was great to know that no animals were harmed in the making of it. The chicken nuggets were outstanding and as a fairly new vegan, the difference between Earths nuggets and meat nuggets is minimal. The burger tasted very similar to a Big Mac but better! The best was still to come, the rocky road cake! Superb! The restaurant decor is really cool and the staff very friendly. Just wish we lived closer to Petersfield so we could visit a lot more often. Keep it going guys, we will be back soon enough!

We visited on New Year's Day as I had a craving for junk food. This definitely hit the spot! Great to have a variety of burger options, we had a Big Earth and a double cheeseburger, fries and onion rings all of which were delicious. Especially loved my chocolate milkshake! Loved the whole look and atmosphere of the restaurant and it feels so good knowing everything is vegan so not having to worry and check what's OK to have. Will definitely be returning!

It is so wonderful to be able to get plant based junk food in a casual setting. However the pricing is extortionate I get that running a niche business is expensive, but I’m hopeful that Earth will be able to lower prices to enable more people to access food like this. I’d visit a lot more often if the price points were friendlier

Good yummy fast food. And also worth noting the plastic they use is completely biodegradable. Great place to bring meat eaters who need a bit of convincing ;)

I went here for the first time today and absolutely loved it there are not many totally vegan/vegetarian restaurants around (I don’t know of any others I can name of!) and this place is amazing! Lovely clean fresh environment food is AMAZING and I love how eco friendly it is and the information given on the menus will definitely come again

Being new to the area we’ve seen Earth a couple of times from the car park and thought it looked ‘okay’ but weren’t in a rush to visit.

Mostly alternatives to meat, very little for people who don’t like the texture and taste of substitutes. I personally like my meals made out of veggies and pulses. Ordered 3 meals and drinks and cost £46 and my meal a falafel wrap was forgotten about so by the time it came the others had finished their meal. Not healthy and a bit like a McDonald’s for vegans

The first time I had a burger here I was astounded at how tasty it was - needless to say we’ve been back.... a few times and still as tasty! Great friendly service too. Great all round.

First time in here with a group to cater for a vegetarian. Although not quit as good as it's own hyperbole, if you have to/want to go to a veggie restaurant then ths is pretty good!

Big menu lots of choice between us we had chicken burgers bag burger and a chess burger all delicious the fresh lemonade was very special and the chip very good. Lovely clean premises and the staff very helpful and friendly . Will certainly be visiting again.

Nice staff, good ingredients, gluten free options available. Oven chips, not deep fried. The best burger-mushroom & spinach. Can recommend.

Me and my boyfriend loved our visit to Earth! The food was absolutely incredible. Not long ago I gave the title of best burger ever to Temple of Seitan, today Earth beat that! These burgers are sensational. We really went in with our order, everything sounded so great that we had to order loads. So our order consisted of; the big earth burger, 1/4 pounder double cheese with bacon,

Glorified fast food burger bar. Served on cheap plastic baskets. Small portions. Air fried chips smothered in oil, very hard to digest. Wouldn’t go again. 😙

Second time visiting earth and have been impressed on both occasions. I’m not sure why people complain about the price because it’s “not real meat” as a lot of low quality meat in cheap eateries is often much cheaper than any high quality vegetable or vegetarian/vegan dish so I guess depends on whether you value quantity over quality.

We had a really disappointing experience eating at Earth this week. There were hardly any cakes - just peanut butter brownies and that was it. It was lunchtime and there was a whole lunchtime takeaway menu of sandwiches and wraps but not one single sandwich was there and you couldn't order one. The air fries were soggy and luke warm - definitely not hot. I ordered a bacon roll which turned out to be basically a roll with tons of brown sauce with a tiny bit of fake bacon in the middle which you couldn't taste or notice at all. The food took absolutely ages to arrive and the staff seemed far more interested in chatting to each other than serving or cooking. Won't be going back any time soon.

Had a lovely spinach and mushroom burger in pretzel bun......yummy. Gorgeous blueberry smoothie. A bit pricey at 7.99 for the burger and 4.19 smoothie but very tasty. Had to sit outside with the dogs. One thing though...side outside boasts compostable packaging so I was disappointed that the smoothie came in a plastic cup with plastic lid and plastic straw even though cutlery was vegware

We went for lunch today. The food was excellent and service satisfactory but quite pricey considering it is vegan and not beef burgers etc. will certainly go back.

As newbie vegan's Earth was an unexpected find while looking for somewhere suitable to stop for a bite. Seating inside and out, in a fairly quiet setting away from the hub-bub of Ram's walk. The menu was fairly extensive and reasonably priced. Some dishes take longer to prepare, but it's not really an issue as the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff taking the order will always alert you to the waiting times of the food, giving you the option of changing your order to suit your timescale. Friendly staff and and a chilled laid-back atmosphere makes it a very relaxed and welcoming place. We will definitely go there again.

Well as a non vegan I was most impressed. My wife is a veggie and she was in heaven. Would recommend the hulk burger if you are a first timer.

Our family of four visited Earth again and were not disappointed. Lovely air-fried onion rings and chips, a gorgeous 'chicken' burger and three other tasty vegan burgers later and we left fully satisfied and keen to return. Vegan fast food at it's best!

This place is a delight , the chioce on the menu for vegan & veggies is great. Most restaurants still only give you a small choice, just visit and try out the food at a good price. Friendly staff who were only too happy to explain the menu. They also do take always. My wife and I will be back with family members. Great food experience.

after ordering food, waiting half a hour, food arrived couldn't believe how small it was very tiny for £7.50, there was 3 of us, we insisted on a cash refund which they did, then went to another restaurant , ie looked worse than a mcdonalds .

when we arrived, there was no one else in the cafe so we assumed it would be very quick service. we ordered drinks, burgers, fries and popcorn chicken. its all really quite expensive but vegan food is so you just kinda have to be prepared to pay that. one other group arrived whilst we were there, considering we had already ordered we still had to wait around half an hour for this 'fast' food. when it came it looked great, but that was about it. the fries were nice, but the burger was the blandest thing i have ever eaten. spices and seasoning are vegan, use them!! the actual patty had no flavour and it was drowned in messy relish that made the bun disintegrate into nothing- i don't know what this obsession with terrible buns is but i really recommend using a different bread that actually holds it structure! the popcorn chicken was bland too. however, the salted caramel iced coffee i had was the best one I've ever had- but not at a price id be willing to pay often.

I traveled half an hour here and was looking forward to eating. I’ve been a lifelong vegetarian moving towards being vegan. I ordered at 2.00pm and was told there was a 30 minute wait. The place wasn’t busy and normally wouldn’t have waited. I thought I’d give them a chance. My spicy bean burger and air fries came just over the 30 minute mark. I’d already polished off my chocolate cup cake which was delicious and moist. The burger and fries were tasty but not exceptional. One of my main criteria is ‘can I do as well at home?’ Yes I easily could. Would I wait half an hour for fast food. No I wouldn’t. Such a shame when paying the higher prices for what seemed like mass produced stuff. Nice clean surroundings and welcoming. Maybe offer less choice on the menu. I have never understood the need to copy or use names like chicken or beef for vegan food or emulate the appearance taste or texture of meat or fish.

Tasty wholesome meal and refreshing drinks on a hot day. Outside seating catches the p.m. sun Drinks served in vegetable bases containers although they look like plastic they aren't. It's a bit more pricey then meat alternatives but delicious for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores alike.

Been to earth a few times always consistently good food excellent flavours and textures certainly not your usual vegan cafe restaurant sometimes food takes a while when it's busy but good food is worth the wait.....would highly recommend this place everytime

Visited on a sunny Thursday lunchtime with my grandparents and were able to sit outside with our dog which was nice. Although the restaurant was pretty much empty, service was so slow we had to go in twice to make sure they had remembered our orders! Apparently it was because they had received multiple takeaway orders but even so...

I'm not a fan of Vegan food (i'm not vegan or vegetarian) but when even I get a chance I always have to pop in for a burger. Good sizes, lots of choices and taste great.

I was taken here today, very very pessimistic - being a meat eater - and I was not sure I would like anything on the menu. That said the menu has lots of great options...we went for jnr burgers with fries and popcorn chicken to share with handmade soda’s. The restaurant was not full but had a really good turnover of customers inside and outside. We didn’t wait long at all for the food and it all arrived in American diner style baskets. The taste was amazing I couldn’t believe how it all tasted so similar to meat, all really fresh ingredients and sauces combining for a really top quality burger and the popcorn chicken and fries were really tasty too. Staff were friendly and very efficient! I am already planning my next visit.

The food is out of this world and the service is great. No it’s not as fast as McDonalds but what do you expect for high quality cooked to order vegan food! I’ve been here now about 7 times and every time the food and drinks have been absolutely delicious and amazing. Also their packaging is and always has been biodegradable and compostable, which costs them 25 times more than what the fast food giants would use, fact! A truly ethical, inspirational and ahead of its time restaurant. It’s the future!

Visited for the first time today. There was plenty of choice and the quality of the food was very good. We are not vegans or vegetarian but the food tasted really good, even though it was not trying to copy the meat flavours

I was excited about trying Earth, but having visited I am amazed that this place has any positive reviews.

Well worth a visit even if you aren't vegan and just looking for a sustainably produced and very tasty burger, or just something a bit different. Everything is vegan, despite cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and bacon burgers on the menu. We tried hamburgers, cheeseburger, "chicken" nuggets, felafel wrap and "air-fired" fries and everything was delicious, and very reasonably priced (about £3.50 for the hamburger).

Really enjoyed our meal at earth! The interior is lovely and feels very clean, the food came pretty fast and was some of the best we've had! We had the cheeseburgers which were delicious, and the milkshakes were great as well. Also tried out the brownie and a red velvet cupcake - which were both really nice!

I've been here twice on long trips - once with friends on our way to homecheck for a rescue cat rehoming, and secondly when we homed the cats. The second time we deliberately planned the route to include a visit to Earth as we were so impressed the first time round.

My partner treated me to lunch for my birthday and I was so excited as we don't have many Vegan eateries around where we live, so we travelled 20 minutes up the A3 to visit Earth in Petersfield. The menu was great and we both enjoyed our fresh fruit soda, however, we waited just short of 40 minutes for our food. We did get an apology for delay, so maybe that isn't standard service. We will go back though, and look forward to tackling another meal.

I came here eager to get a Falafel Salad, and was highly disgruntled to be told they were no longer available. I think they stopped a long time ago.

My Vegan friend took me here and I really didnt know what to expect.

This place hands down offer's the best vegan burgers I have ever tasted!!!! The staff are lovely, the food is freshly prepared to order it's naughty but no where near as naughty as it could be and MOST of all it's cruelty free!!! I know I headed this review 'vegan big mac' it's actually called 'Big Earth' an for me this is all part of the beautiful message this place is trying to share. I can only hope someone harness's this wonderful idea and spreads it across the UK. This place would be perfect to franchise if indeed the owners wanted to. My husband is originally from Petersfield but we now live in Cheshire and we were here to visit family for 2 days....we visited on both days! We also took a gang of family (some veggies, some meat eaters) they ALL loved it! Some reviews suggest it's expensive and the service slow..... it's not a giant fast food joint. It's a beautiful small business that makes fresh food as fast as they can. They cannot buy in huge quantities and obviously a few of the products (vegan cheese for example) do cost that little bit extra. Please give this place a go... it's definitely worth it!!! X❤️

It's nice to have something different in Petersfield.

I went here today and I thought the food was fantastic. I have been vegetarian for a few years now and the only meat I miss is chicken. The chicken burger was incredible and so were the chicken nuggets. My mum who is a vegetarian because she doesn't like the taste of meat, thoroughly enjoyed her falafel wrap. The service was very speedy and friendly. I can't wait to go back.

You will hard pushed to find a better dining experience, forget the fact it’s vegan. It’s amazing food, even better staff, fantastic decor and a truly inspiring and inviting atmosphere. Will be returning regularly.

I bought my boyfriend some baked goods as a treat as he is vegan and it's hard to find things like brownies that he can eat, but found this place online. We've tried many vegan cakes but non were as good as earths, it is all reasonably priced and tastes amazing. Will definitely be coming for a proper meal soon. Can't recommend there cakes highly enough and not just for vegans!

Having read some of the negative reviews I thought I’d make my own mind up as everyone has an off day! We were pleasantly surprised by the sodas (I had passion fruit and it was lovely!). We then had a mixture of different burgers as well as the “chicken” nuggets and popcorn “chicken”. Everything we had was delicious (I loved the sauce on the Earth Burger). We took away some of the homemade cakes (also very tasty) and I treated myself so a chocolate “milkshake” that definitely hit the spot! Okay, it’s not the healthiest vegan food out there but it is tasty and will hopefully win over some meat eaters to the fact that plant based fast food can taste better and is certainly a lot better for you than things with animal products in. Loved the health facts on the back of the menus - we should know what we are putting in our bodies whether we like it or not! Finally, I thought I’d mention that I like the fact they have used “chicken” etc. In their menu descriptions - I think it helps meat eaters be “included” and choose what they want without being frightened away. Go give them a try!!!

At last!!! Our own vegan fast food. We loved it, we were spoiled for choice and my 4 year old granddaughter cannot wait to go back to have fishless fish fingers and chickenless nuggets again. Please expand, please come to Godalming asap😊

A friend of mine recommended Earth to me. Although I am not fully Vegan I have recently gone vegetarian and love trying new foods. I cut down on dairy whenever I can and have a vegan diet as much as possible.

Have had nothing but amazing service here, have been coming since it had opened and the cooking times have improved greatly considering all the food is made to order. Have also had a few custom bakes which have been amazing even non vegan family members have stated that it was the best cake they had ever eaten.

Returned to Earth for a teatime, family meal for three generations. This is my third visit. We all ordered burgers (of different varieties) and air fries. The children also had a very tasty milkshake and we all finished the meal with some tiffin. Staff work hard and were very pleasant. The food has been reliably tasty each time we've been and we've never had a really long wait.

My wife and I popped in whilst passing through Petersfield and I am so glad we did. From the outside, this eat-in takeaway looks no too dissimilar to others except that it has "100% Vegan" written large and clearly in the window. On entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the vast range of options available although next time I will bring my glasses as the writing was a little small for me. As we ordered the staff were very friendly and advised that we could sit whilst we waited for our order to be prepared and cooked. The order took about 10 - 12 minutes to make (which didn't seem unreasonable as they were cooked from scratch and not just cooked and left heating like certain other fast food restaurants) but the short wait was certainly well worthwhile. The food was delicious and filling and as someone who has chosen not to eat animal products this seemed like a naughty pleasure.
