After walking around in Winchester area you can come in this McDonald's branch to chill and to eat your meal. The food and service were okay! Like other McDonald's, you can take your order online. The service was great! Atmosphere was okay. I did not have any bad experiences. All is okay. Recommendable. There was no long Queue that time.

Great fast food with superb staff

I came here for breakfast and it was the most pleasant McDonald’s experience out of all the McDonald’s and fast food restaurants ive been to. My order was right, came quick, and was the perfect temperature. As for service, I was served by a lovely and respectful man, one of the managers. When giving me my food the first time he asked if I would like any condiments and wished me a good day. The second time (same day) I had him again for table service which was a swift service and had all the right utensils I needed as I ordered pancakes. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable and relaxing which is usually unusual for most McDonald’s’ but I can say I’m beyond satisfied with my experience.

Our last visit was early on a Sunday morning, not as busy as usual. Excellent staff working when we made this and recent visits, they are always very polite. At the time of our visits we never have to wait very long. Usual McDonalds menu

ordered through delivery first order made and was poorly packed fell onto the road from drivers hand due to drink spillage was made to reorder and now missing items

Went for lunch and they called out the wrong number I was number 76 and they called out 77 and it had the wrong food. And the MC tasty was MC discusting. Tried to book a holiday on air BnB on the ipad thing more like Ibad things it had leftover mcfluffy from the kid before🤮 (I had to wrestle the kid for the iPad because he wasn't sharing)😡. After that because my food was warm I had to redo the order then I ordered a big Mac and it was tiny more like a little Mac. And my mcfluffy was too cold.but the overall experience was ok

Some of the staff seem a little unhelpful

I'm sure food is getting smaller as I get older. I remember the quarter pounder with cheese back in 1986 was huge and thick when I was in the much missed Arndale Centre in Wandsworth. But there we go. Service was faultless, with fresh food coming to our table and offers of kindness after a long day. Place was clean, orders now being taken by the clever screens which make it much simpler compared to the scramble and voices of confusion all trying to order everything at once. Coffee fine, chocolate... Well we make it better at home with frothy milk but it was ok as wet and warm. So. McD are still ok for fast food which is good enough to get you home on the motorway.

Only thing was a young girl wiping off the trays & tables with the same damp cloth no spray !! was some what off putting surely the trays would of gone through the dishwasher & tables sprayed n cleaned ?? Other than that staff were extremely friendly and were working non stop as it was very busy, we visited as our teenager niece chose to eat there.

How is the an acceptable burger, for a burger place?

The place seemed dirty and tired and not very well run.

Ordered a Deliveroo got a meal and didn’t even receive the burger how are the staff this incompetent please tell me

came in for a cheeky late night bite after a nice walk around the river, i ordered the new biscoff mcflurry which i was so excited to try when i sat down (ed sheeran blasting in my ears from the speakers) after finally getting my order i dipped my chip in my ice cream and was greeted with a singular eye lash extension in my ice cream! lucky i spotted it before swallowing a micro plastic!!!

Everything you expect from a McDonald's - generally edible food, polite if overworked staff and the ambience of a Soylent Green plant. I ordered food at the machine, it turned up freshly cooked fairly quickly. I had the plant burger. It was soulless but a lot better than the squished veggie thing they were selling three years ago.

We went to buy a quick burger for my daughter. While waiting for it to be served, I was watching this guy who was preparing them. What shocked me is that he didn't wear any gloves and done it all with his bare hands. I approached member of staff and asked why gloves are not being worn and I was told that's OK as they wash their hands every 30 mins. SHOCKING !!!! I didn't want to create a drama as people started staring at us and heard me saying that gloves are not worn. How do I know that ? I've been to many McDonald restaurants and never ever seen anyone not using gloves. It's unhygienic ! Shame on you ! I'm not happy and won't ever be coming back. Where is health and safety? Is there any rules in place ? Plus toilets are absolutely shocking. Dirty and smelly, none have cleaned them for like a week maybe. Felt disgusted even touching the door to enter there. Guys you really need to improve your standards. Not a happy customer!!!!

Food as expected, top tip: if you are eating in there are order points upstairs so much easier to get table etc.

This would be the third time ordering from here, chips are stone cold and missing dip again.. very disappointed

Today(12 4/24)evening by 1814 I and my son 9 yrs have made an order for 2packet of chicken nuggets along with 2 fries and 3 wrap of the day. Collected it from a ladystaff and asked her to pack it in additional carry bag and she did it I have and taken it home. Opened the pack with my son and found out that only 1 packet of nuggets along with other orders. Tried to call them and it was on vouce mail and left message. Found no response I had packed all back and reached them back in 10 mts and explained the matter.To my surprise the manager replied that he himself packed it and doublechecked and sure it was 2 packs!!!!!! And he added people claim such things and he can't provide food for free!!!! Imagine my situation I have worked hard for my money and spend it for food and I have not received the value of my money. Moreover he meant to say that I have lied. What is in the world I have spent my time, effort and money to argue with such dishonest people for my genuine right. Finally another manager came to solve the problem and he said he can't reolace all the order. I told him that I just need what I paid for the missing box of food and let him accept the human error from his side. The funfact is that the staff who is working there is not aware of his own manger name when I asked for it.

EDIT2: oops spoke too soon, broken printers, flat fizzy drinks and no table service on our latest visit. I feel sorry for the staff, they bend over backwards to get the food out but the organisation in this place is terrible. EDIT: most of the issues below have been resolved since writing, so I've changed the score to 4 instead of 2. I'll leave my other comments up for posterity. Food is as you would expect. Unfortunately seems to be falling apart at everything else. Table service is never available. The queueing system seems completely broken if you order from the kiosk because you can't get a receipt as the printers don't work, the number flashes up on screen too briefly so if you miss it you don't know what your order number is. Also the screen at the front which shows the orders getting ready is just switched off. So you have to wait at the front anyway until someone says your number (assuming you know what it is) because if you sit down you won't hear it. None of the tablet computers ever got replaced but the brackets are still there which is just weird and sad. Every time I go in there (my daughter likes it) there seems to be another issue.

Today I ordered pancakes with a sausage patty and a medium coke and it was great. The pancakes were a 3/5, the sausage patty with the syrup was a 5/5 and the coke was a 5/5. The service lady was nice and when I asked for a straw because they forgot mine, she was right on it. If you are looking for a quick breakfast or lunch, choose this.

Normal McDonald's menu but was good clean and tidy. Ordered for delivery at the table and was pleasantly surprised at the speed and quality of service.

I would like to praise Beck for her customer service, I have never seen her before so I guess she's new. She is very friendly and welcoming. Beck as fellow customer service I pray that you never lose this and the world never gets to you

The food is always hot and fresh, it doesn't take long to wait. The staff are friendly, but the cleanliness and smell is off putting. The tables are clean, but they haven't been disinfected properly, so they smell like urine. There is a smell of dirt in the air and that is off-putting.

A pleasant and convenient dining experience in an overcrowded restaurant. I like the experience but had to wait to get a table.

Ordered food from here on multiple occasions and has always had something missing. No longer eligibility for a refund so I have lost money.

It was a very average mcdonald's experince. Service was fast but the food was not up to standards. The chips had not been properly cook and looked very pale. They also were not warm in the slightest. The chicken i was given in my wrap tasted extremely plain and was also cold. In addition to this, my milkshake was significantly more empty than usual. It also was not mixed at all. Overall if you would like an under average mcdonald's experiance i recommend you come to Winchester.

As someone who has experience at McDonald’s the fries were obviously undercooked. We ordered on the McDonald’s app where we only ordered 5 things and didn’t receive a big tasty and drinks were the wrong flavour of milk shakes, normally I’d let that pass however the person I was with is allergic to strawberries and strawberry flavouring and so couldn’t drink it as they ordered chocolate. I completely understand it can be difficult especially in rush hour but at least pick up the phone and give them decent respect when finally getting through, they blamed uber and it definitely was McDonald’s fault in this case. You would at least expect some sort of outcome in this situation but there was not, definitely wouldn’t order again from this McDonald’s.

It's McDonalds. I've been in cleaner and nicer McDonalds, but it does a job. Everything was as expected regarding food, a cheeseburger that was a mess, fries that were...well, fries, a chicken wrap.of some variety, a toffee latte and a bottle of water.

Good for a McDonalds in the city center. Visiting from out of town and wanted to try regional specialties. Garlic cheese curds were good but not very garlicky. Enjoyed the cream and chives sauce. The chicken fajita wrap was a bit of a let down. Bathrooms were at least clean and ample places to sit.

First time and its very slow at table service, food fries dry , place very dirty doesn't get clean on a regular barley any staff having to clean tables or seats or floors

This has been around a really long time, and depending on the time of day you visit it will impact what your experience is like, for example if you order between 12-1pm expect a very long wait. Apart from that the food is always warm and staff are friendly

Fast, clean and just what you expect from McDonald's. Even though it was busy it was clean and the service was pretty quick. We only tend to use this McDonalds once a year but it doesn't disappoint

The tables were unclean, and the floors seemed to have been neglected, giving the impression of a lack of attention to detail in maintaining a hygienic dining environment. This detracted from the overall dining experience and left me feeling uneasy about the establishment's standards. In addition to the food and cleanliness, the service was lackluster. The staff appeared disinterested and unenthusiastic, which contributed to an overall sense of apathy within the restaurant. The slow service further added to the negative experience, as it felt as though the staff were not prioritizing the needs of the customers. Really busy which was fine however the pay machines weren't printing receipts so loads of people had to ask for their food order number. Food was decent.

ordered a delivery from here i’ve been waiting an hour and 20 minutes and it’s still not arrived they’ve been preparing my order for about an hour now and i cant get through via phone and have no way of contacting them. this is disgraceful

Didn't recieve what I paid for. Ordered 4 meals. Only received 1 meals drinks. Tried contacting the winchester store on their phone number over 10 times. They do not answer, get voicemail. Left 2 messages with my phone number, never called me back. I then had to order more food from elsewhere which cost me a further £20. Sent an email to macdonalds, no reply. User driver that delivered my food was not helpful at all

Months of no reciepts from the self service. Please sort this!

Lots of staff more involved and interested in their own conversations rather than getting food out efficiently. Talking about how they don’t want to go on break, they’re not hungry etc. one person was walking around wearing their outdoor hoodie in the food section… We saw a staff member taking out the hash browns with bare hands, no gloves or tongs. My sausage and egg McMuffin was made by a man wearing no hairnet, beard net or gloves. Again bare hands. Disgusting hygiene at this branch. It went straight in the bin what a waste of money.

The order machine would not process my order, I later found out it had been doing this all day, but nobody had been arsed to do anything about it. Eventually, I ordered a Philly Cheese stack meal (chocolate shake & fries)and a double cheese burger. The burgers were everything you expect from McDonald's. The fries, well they were - cold, rubbery, old, looking a little like the staff-they didn't want to be there. But I can't blame them. I would have trouble looking enthusiastic if I was being paid their wages, and I had to work in that environment. But as I said, the burgers were very good, as was the chocolate shake.

Food was nice. Cold but nice. Very clean branch with lovely staff. Only downside. missing items and still not arrived by time we were finishing up, had to go to counter again. Staff very very nice though. Especially the bright and smiley young lady with a star on her hand. She was brilliant! Thank you

The worst McDonald's on the planet. No more words needed. Avoid!!

We use from time to time, more so via Deliveroo (who are always great btw). Delivery this afternoon, order is clear but WHY WHY WHY WHYYYYY do they always forget to include the dips paid for and requested. Sometimes on the app you can't even proceed without selecting one/two dips. To not receive them, this is the third time is just incompetent. Yes it's fast simple food but hardly rocket science either. Sort yourselves out please!

Das Restaurant war größtenteils sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal war zwar nicht sehr begeistert, jedoch auch nicht unhöflich. Auf der Toilette ging leider der Trockner nicht, Papier stand jedoch bereit. Das Essen war schnell an den Tisch geliefert und hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wenn man in Ruhe essen will, sollte man sich aber etwas anderes suchen. Alles in allem hat es uns gut gefallen und unser Heißhunger wurde gestillt. Wir sind Happy 🙂

I’ve been eating McDonald’s for a while now and I will never be eating it/ here again!!! I’ve heard the staff don’t wash their hands and that the food can be prepared hours before it’s actually given to you. I am now ill from the poor standards from the food.

This McDonald's is always a mess. Tables are sticky and dirty, food and other rubbish on the floor everywhere, even when it is not very busy. Customers never pick up after themselves 🤢.

Boss was very aggressive and shouty to other customers

Since this is locally to me, it's just sometimes the table been forgotten to get cleaned.

Good little town centre restaurant, done an app order and it was up at my table in about 3 minutes. It was quiet when I went there at about 8am on a Saturday morning, and staff were still just going over tables and things to make sure everything was clean and tidy before it'd obviously become busier throughout the day.

Pleasantly surprised by this one, even though it was a Saturday night and busy (and so no screens available). Rather than leaving me waiting a manager on till duty called me over and took my order. Was then pleasant and chatty. I find it difficult to be disappointed with nuggets and a latte so it’s no surprise to say I enjoyed these… but anyway definitely happy and my experience didn’t match the negative reviews here

Part of our order was missing, a 20 nugget share box. It seems that nine times out of ten, our McDelivery orders are inaccurate and something is missing. I don't know if the problem lies with McDonald's or Uber, but it's become tedious and I'm beginning to begrudge paying £3.99 delivery charge for inaccurate orders. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone trying to sort out a refund from Uber, by which time the rest of my order was cold and my son ate alone.

Must be the worst McDonald's in the country. Staff don't care, food cold, fries not filling the packet. Service very slow even when not busy. Receipts at the self-service never working.

Often a very busy McDonald's and the layout doesn't really make this a very nice experience. You are best off getting the app and having them bring it to your table.

Winchester McDonald's has gone really downhill. I've been twice in the last week and both orders had food missing. The team are generally very unhelpful and the facilities are dirty.

missed 2 items which they often do and there was a cluster of egg shell in the egg of the egg mcmuffin. mank

What can I say? It's a McDonald's...

The layout of this McDonald's is not user friendly at all. There is minimal seating areas down stairs and really only two tables that you can use if you have a pram or wheel chair. No lift means that the majority of the seating which is upstairs, is completely useless if you have a pram or wheel chair. The baby changing area is hourendous. It is in the foyer of the disabled toilet which was locked so I could not wash my hands after. Also the door could not be locked so half way through changing my babies nappy someone opened the door exposing us to about 20 people stood staring at us while they waited to collect food.

Clean and tidy and staff work efficiently.

We usually come here after a young people's Bible study in the High Street on Friday Night. For that reason it is usually packed but the staff work very fast.

Tables were dirty when I asked to be cleaned it wasn't done when i came back with food.
