The best restaurants serving Default food in Warren Wyre North West

My garlic mayo was chunky with a funky taste 💀 my chicken strips didn’t even look like a strip the batter is a no for me my cat wouldn’t even touch it says it all although the chips were fine..

Sadly, I had a very negative experience here. After a very long walk I asked whether they served cheesy chips was spoken to and looked at with disdain and told no. When I was searching for the food menu I was informed menus were on the table. This menu had cheese on a number of items including as a topping for Jacket Potato. I explained I understood what I'd been told I just wondered if you could sell me cheese as a side ( most places are accommodating to their customers) I was again told we don't do cheesy chips or comes on top of the potato ( which surely you need to add?!) I said I would go somewhere else and was told you do that. I turned around and told her she had a bad attitude. She made me feel little and humiliated in front of a room of customers. I hope she has a few more people don't bother going in because of her rudeness maybe she'll learn some kindness. The lack of helpfulness fine they don't do it her lack of kindness quite another.

Had a family get together so we were a large group. The staff were so accomadating and friendly. Service great.

As far as chippys goes you don’t get much better than shakies , excellent service and great atmosphere. Fresh fish and a crunchy portion of chips served with a great smile.

The food is always top notch from here and the service is second to none. They always go above and beyond to help their customers.

Ordered a large doner kebab tonight and it was cold when it arrived I ate it because I was hungry after being out all day… but it’s usually hot when it arrives but not this time!!

We wanted to try somewhere different from our usual place, now wish we hadn’t..The food was ready for pick up 10 mins from ordering (alarm bells!). Arrived at the takeaway, place smells great. Greeted by some random looking me up and down, not a customer and not very welcoming. Had to remember the full order as no name was taken (luckily ready in 10 mins). The food, spring rolls & crispy wontons tasted like the frozen variety deep fried for authenticity, the sweet and sour sauce is like jelly and tasted soapy. Spare ribs in satay sauce, the sauce is a congealed slime which gets thicker and more slimy as it cools, the meat is tough like it’s been frozen for too long and then reheated/cooked. The vegetable fried rice was greasy and came with small rubbery egg topping. Crispy chicken/beef/prawn meal (hard to tell which was which) was a tough, deep fried, frozen and reheat game of guess what it is. Luckily, a meal was missed off when ordering, which saved me from any further disappointment. I was happy to forget the experience and move on, until the gas the following morning which brought the taste of disappointment flooding back, and urged me to write a review, to help others make sound judgment of where to eat. NOT HERE!

Visited this place last week with my wife and it was fantastic. We both had fish, chips, peas and gravy. The portion size was very generous and the fish was cooked to absolute perfection! We got a regular sized fish, but it was huge! The batter was crispy and golden and the fish was so clean and white. There wasn't a drop of grease, it was just perfect! If I'm honest, it's the only chippy that I would go to from now on and I can't wait to go again! :)

Awful service, and even worse food. I ordered the chicken chow mien and it felt like I was eating the rubber off my nans 2017 reg plate Ford KA tire. It just wasn’t for me unfortunately and I hope this is noticed.

I enjoy going to the Strawberry, the food is always very good and the staff are friendly and polite.

A teenage boy had to be told by his per to take my order. When I got it home it was poor and dry. I should of taken it back as i didn't eat most of it. Very disappointed. Nothing was fresh, and if I were the chief, I would have been embarrassed with what was served. Yummy house in Cleveleys is so much better. I wish I'd of gone there instead of going local. I won't be going back.

Had to start going to collect as they always forget the sauce pots we pay extra for or the icing glaze included with price when ordered for delivery. Foods okay as far as takeaway goes
