Fantastic fish and chips at a great price compared to other chippy's and staff really nice and polite

Never ordering from there again. Always something missing on orders. Food is all and re heated. Just had to use a steak knife to cut a pie open which was burnt on the inside. Fish was soggy. Not acceptable! You ring to tell them and all you get is ring just eat! Never a refund for food kissing and now the food is disgusting!

Sad to write this review when I have written the past 3....but sorry to say that having spent over £70 for 2 deliveries this past few days we will not be using again. The first delivery was wrong and the Curry Sauce's were missing. Made a huge difference to the Son's meal. We purposely rang the venue itself when placing the order to ensure they got it correct as online on their website it seemed to be misleading as to the prices and only offered small fish. The woman who took the order, still got it wrong! The second delivery, again ordered through same woman. Informed about the missing curry sauce, said she would send with next order which she did and then didn't send the gravy for the second order 🙈 When informed, she wasn't very pleasant and said she would add it to a future order. We said no point as we are off home again. So she sent it out but by the time it got to us we had finished what we ate of the awful undercooked chips and sloppy fish! Not sure why it has gone downhill so much but we won't be using again in the future. Obviously some places get complacent in both their service and food quality!

Just been in to Mr chips for food.Chips barely warm and more bits than chips.Pudding just warm. Only warm thing was the curry.And that was hot to taste only. Very disappointed. Go there regularly. But won't be going back anytime soon.

This is the best chippy I've ever had brilliant service fast and freshly cooked food

Having just spent the week in Cleveley's we have yet again had 2 deliveries from the Best Chippy in the area. The food is just the freshest and tasty going. They send generous portion's and the food is just spot on. The fish tastes like it has literally just been caught! The gravy is yummy. Staff and delivery spot on. Can not fault this take away at all. We look forward to being back in town and ordering again 😘

No idea what the fish was, not flakey, vile greasy batter, chips greasy, curry sauce tasted like beef! Don't know how these places keep open. Ripping people off!! Cook your own.

My local chippy now, much cheaper than alternatives, ring them in advance if you want fish as you will have to wait while it's cooked fresh. Chips are always lovely and have good gravy and curry sauce. Fish is usually huge and nice, I often get the fish bites and chips as they sometimes have meal deal type things on. Some staff aren't the friendliest, quite straight to the point, but they'll sort you out with a good chippy.

They did it again. Food delivered was out of this World. Still the best Chippy in town. Much more reasonable than the overpriced one's that are in Blackpool itself. Wouldn't use anywhere else when staying in the area.

Moved here a few years ago now and being a northerner enjoy a chippy tea now and again. I was recommended Mr Chips by a neighbour due to the offers they have on and said it was really good value for money and they wasn't wrong. I know it,s chippy but it's a really good chippy. The staff are lovely and friendly. The prices are right and the food is great. Try the spicy curry sauce on your chips. Yum 😋

Fish was very nice but chips under cooked and soggy not the sort of chips i would expect from a chip shop.

Chips were rock hard, I had to be so careful eating them as I was scared to chip a tooth, I ended up binning them. So disappointment and I will not be returning.

Fish, let's was ok. But I get the worst chips ever in my life. Taste like re-heated stone chips. Disgusting. Will not buy from them again.

This is Our go to favourite Chippy when we stay in Cleveley's. We always have delivery so never visited the venue. The food is just the best! The fish is so fresh and literally the portion's are huge and amazing. The batter is crisp and perfect. Chips are tasty as and the sauces are equally as yummy. We love it so much we had a delivery from here for the past two nights. Service was slower last night but to be fare there was a storm happening at the time, so imagine they had been inundated with orders. Just can not fault the food nor the prices very reasonable. We will be back asap we are back in town. If you have not tried it then please do.

Order was late and it doesnt look good. Ordered gravy and they put it on my tray of food. Should be in a pot. Chips look and taste terrible tbh. Charge £1.10 for a can of tango and recieved a nock aldi special.

Had fish & chips from here quite a few times. Very fresh Fish nice & tender just right. They also do potatoe scallops well worth having. I usually have 1 or 2 with salt & vinegar on, packaged seperately. Recently found out a past time, they also do scraps or scrapings for any one who doesn't know these are of the fish little bits. Had some last week. I will be after more. Here's to the future Mr Chips......👍

Unfortunately this place does not open in accordance with its advertised hours. Went this evening (20/9/2021) at 7.30pm. Upon entering a young lady behind the counter abruptly told me that they were now closed. You claim to be open until 8pm. Will go elsewhere in future. You clearly don't appear to want the custom!

The food is very good value for money, fish is large and tastes amazing. They offer meal deals which is great for families. The menu choice is extensive and offering a delivery service is very convenient

This is only the 2nd time ordering home delivery from Mr.Chips and I must say they are fabulous. The ordering is easy, the food is freshly cooked, generous portions and delicious. My order came within 10 mins, it was piping hot and exactly what I had ordered (they were generous with the onion rings). The staff are friendly and chatty and always have a smile. I personally think they are one of the best, if not the best 'chippy' in Fleetwood.

Food has always been enjoyable, the service is really off putting, the owner should maybe learn a little bit about customer interaction

Best value fish and chips £3.20 for a small fish, chips and mushy peas or curry sauce, the portions are huge.. They are well cooked and good oil is used, highly recommend !!!

Great quality fish, always fresh and cooked to order. A few different choices on the menu that you wouldn't expect in a chippy like a few Chinese rolls etc. Very reasonably priced with combination specials like pie, chips, gravy or peas plus a drink for £3.20. Staff are lovely and friendly. Occasionally a bit of a wait because sometimes it has a que but to my eyes that's because it's a good chippy. Only 2 customers in the shop at once at the moment but they are happy to have you pop your head in an order your fish etc. Keep the staff safe and wear a mask so they can keep on serving us.

Changed hands several times over the years, I'm not quite sure who the present owners are but the quality of the fish and chip is abismal. The chip is under cooked and dripping with engine oil as is the fish. Fleetwood is the hub of the world when it comes to fish and chips and this one is probably the worst.

Fish, chips, peas & curry...good size piece of fish(haddock) which was well cooked to order...good quality mushy peas & the curry was spot on...chips were a little disappointing as they were very anemic & held a lot of oil. Paid £6:50ish & the extra 'star' rating would be easy to achieve by cooking the chips a little longer & allowing them to drain the excess oil by vigorous shaking...Good effort & will visit again.

Absolutely spot on. Great portion size even though a mini deal. Always go here now. Certainly recommend this chippy.

Heard some great reviews about Mr Chips so we thought we'd try for ourselves and we were not disappointed. Superb food at fantastic prices. The owners are really friendly and the the shop is spotlessly clean. We will be back

I visit here regularly, first stop every time I come to Fleetwood. Clean, friendly welcome, superb food. Some don’t like that it’s not Fleetwood people that have taken over. The nationality of the owners has no effect on the quality of the food or the portion sizes. Great meal deals and the small fish, chips and peas I usually get is sufficient, and I love my food! The quality and taste of the fish is excellent, chips are brown, not pale and flavourless. I recommend you try it and ignore the racists.

I make this fish and chip shop my first stop every time I arrive in Fleetwood. The food was good before the recent takeover but I’m happy to say it’s even better now. Lovely golden brown chips that actually taste like they did years ago and the fish is lovely. I usually get a mini fish and chips with peas, it’s just £2.90 and an ideal portion size. They have many offers like this and I’ve swapped the peas for curry before. The new owners are very friendly and welcoming. The shop is bright and clean. I’m very fussy where I eat and I can’t fault this chippy. Many were unsure that the new owners would keep it traditional and not change to a Chinese. My advice, try it. The proof is in the food!

Was a big fan of this chippy under the previous owners, but was unsure after it changed hands. Decided to give it a go, & am very glad I did! Chips are still the best in Fleetwood (golden brown, which I love, instead of the usual pale yellow from mo9st chippies) & the home-made Chinese curry is to die for! The staff are friendly & efficient, the portions are good, the price is very reasonable - what more could one ask? 10/10

Called for fish and chips a few weeks ago and noticed it had new owners. Large portions but the fish when opened up at home was swimming in fat as if it had come straight out of the fryer and wrapped with the chips instead of being allowed to drain off first. Ended up in the bin unfortunately.

Gave a good review to this place when it first opened however it’s now been taken over and gone downhill. Maybe it’s because the new owner is still trying to get it right. Such a shame was the best in Fleetwood. I may try again in a few weeks. Watch this space.

Ownership has changed & as a result so has the quality & not for the better. The batter used to be light & crispy. Now it's thick & claggy. The chips have also changed to dark, greasy, barely cooked potato - indicating the oil is too hot. It was a good place to eat from but I won't be going here again. Curry sauce was good though.

dont know if been taken over but the chips were raw full of grease the box was full of it and they didnt understand english struggled to get them to understand what i wanted it was disgusting i didnt even eat it had to throw away as too greasy and not cooked proper i have had it before but was different people this time it was oriental people if had known would have gone else were dont recommend to any one disgusting waste of money for me and my family never again

Ate from a few places near by. And these were the most average of the lot. The chips were OK. The fish was OK.

Best in town spicy curry is amazing

As I said used to go regular until it changed hands then it was terrible didn't go for two years. Was in Fleetwood and saw it had changed hands again. We had pensioners special £4.50, wife Fish, chips and Mushy peas, tea, bread and butter. £4.50, I had Steak pudding, gravy, chips and mushy peas, tea, bread and butter, It was really good, hot, freshly cooked and plenty. Could not fault anything, the place is spotless, the staff friendly. We will be back often even though we live 42 miles away.

I have fish and chips from Mr Chips every week and have done for the last two years. Not only is it always excellent with the best quality fish and chips made from top class potatoes it is very reasonably priced. I always recommend it to people and they are never disappointed.

If you look at all his reviews he gives every establishment 1 star and a bad review.....

Was told we only use fresh fish. But he lied it was frozen fish, dry and poor quality.
