This is my go to chippy when I'm home! Very reasonably priced. They have some excellent deals on their website. We tend not to eat it but have done so in the past. The service is always excellent.

We've been going here for years because it is really convenient. No longer. The quality of food that comes out of this building is horrible. The soggy chips are the worse I've had. I can't compensate for convenience any longer. I won't be back.

I love freshly cooked fish that is perfectly cooked and battered.. here we have perfectly cooked fish, great service and value with offers .highly recommended from a real pedantic foody! ... great place x 👌

This is a small but very busy place, possibly as they were clearly lacking in staff. The friers could not keep up with demand. The fish was good, however the chips were terrible. Why oh why do they not peel the potatoes. If I go to a fish n chip shop I want chips not potato wedges. The chips were also anemic with no colour or crispness. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful. The mini meal was excellent value. It was hard to see the difference in the full price fish and the mini meal deal (there was less chips on the mini meal deal, but enough for my wife) If only they could sort our the chips this place could be first class

I have been a regular customer since seniors was owned by the Senior family and my parents also. I called into Poulton as l do regularly after work for my tea. I was ignored for quite a while then a family came in and was served straightaway. I finally caught the eye of the young man serving and told him that I’d been there a while and the other people were served straightaway. He didn’t apologize and said you haven’t been here that length of time as though l lying he was very rude and cocky. I told him to forget it , he wasn’t bothered and couldn’t care less. Though l did notice he went straightaway to the manager to get in first. I’m disgusted after all the years that I’ve supported seniors and recommended them.

No frills and really first rate. I had lightly battered large haddock and chips with mushy peas. The fish was delicious. I was pleased that the portion of chips size was decent but not huge as it is some places. Friendly quick service and fish was made to order. Lots of free parking outside too. Highly recommended.

Great fish and chips, special offer Tuesdays, staff friendly and recommended the specials, saved over £7 on a deal, ate on the train ride home.

Staff refuse to serve or even seat us due to my 3 year old being in a wheelchair. Completely blanked us infact. Lost a fair amount of business today on a quiet Tuesday. Will not return but will happily share my experience.

Completely blanked a family of 5 this evening due to child being in a wheelchair. Was no issue 2 weeks prior when child was in his pram. Waited to be seated, completely ignored by 5 members of staff. Will not be returning. I don't support dicrimination in any business, especially not a 2 bit chippy staffed by kiddos on the lowest of the low minimum wage. Vote with your feet guys!

The chips were soggy cold full of crispy bits and dark have been a regular customer but the chips were awful.Not going back

One of the best fish n chips about. I went for the large portion (hungry and greedy). I struggled. Endless chips, if you can manage. Food was piping hot. Staff very attentive. Very clean. Good price too. 👍🏻

Visited Sunday for 2 x small fish n chips, 2 sides 2 drinks..price increased to £8. Staff dis interested in customer..using mobile phones..messing around and not very professional at all. Fish wasnt cooked..the batter was soggy on one side. Im afaid l wont be using Seniors again. This has always been a treat for my elderley parents..however the last 2 occasions have been very poor.

First time been when visiting parents who go often. I rarely eat fish and chips but this was the best by far. Fish extremely fresh and we went for the 'small plates' which were very generous. Less than £10 which includes fish,chips and a side, a slice of bread (with lurpack) and a drink. Very tasty and cheapest anywhere. Great customer service too.Would highly recommend for fish and chip lovers.

Fab place, fab food and great service

Usually go to Carleton Fish and Chips ; - They were closed for a week. Went to Poulton Seniors, and ordered our usual - 3 med fish, a med chips and peas and curry sauce . Could not believe the price - £27.35. The fish was very thin between the batter and the chips were undercooked and certainly not crispy!! I am usually charged around £17 at Carleton and the standard is far superior. More chips for a med portion and well cooked (crispy on the outside and soft in the middle)

We called in for lunch yesterday and had a lovely fish lunch, all cooked to perfection. We were served by Chloe, who was an absolute treasure. We watched her serving a mainly older clientele and she was wonderful with them, they loved her, she never stopped the whole time we were there she is a true asset to your company. I hope you pay her well as she deserves it.

Absolutely gorgeous 😍 partner ordered large fish and chips and got 2 fish 🐟 I ordered the mini steak pudding meal and couldn't finish it all , the food is freshly cooked nice and hot. Chloe is an asset to Seniors she is a lovely smiling person so helpful we will definitely be going back 😀 xx

Tried the £5 sausage meal deal. Very nice and enjoyable. Nothing special and shocked to see the chips are brought in ready cut etc but all clean and pleasant and would return but nothing overly amazing. Fish is expensive and on the small side even as a treat.

Cheap Tuesday Very disappointed for the last 2 visits. Chips are undercooked and very hard. Fish are overcooked..the batter was very burnt and not edible. I visit every Tuesday for a treat for the parents..however l wont be doing so again.

We had some food as a take-away as it smelt so good. We were not disappointed. The food was all really hot , fresh and tasty. The guy who served us couldn't have been more helpful either. He had a tee shirt on saying team leader. Finally I'd like to add , Seniors prices were very good and also there were plenty of deals too for individuals, couples or families. Well done 👏

Was served by the lovely Chloe who I believe is training. Super friendly & efficient. Food was delicious cooked by Luis who made me a new fish as I forgot to say I only eat lightly battered! Will be back and highly recommend

Really excellent value for money. They do mini fish, chips and peas with bread and butter and tea or coffee(multiple types) for £7. Despite the mini name my wife and her friend couldn't finish, so more for me! We'll be back!

I was down to visit my daughter in staining and drove to poulton -le- Fylde for groceries and stopped for lunch at the seniors fish and chip shop, The only word I can describe our food is delicious. John and Catherine.

Used to be great must either have got complacent or lack of staff training. Ordered large the chips were no more than extra small told them sent a picture we’re not bothered at all i would avoid here drove 12 miles also as usually good never again

Went large which means 2 fish and unlimited chips all freshly cooked - superb!! Coffee was also free refills! What is there not to like.

The Seniors meal deal is excellent value for money and delicious, would thoroughly recommend. However, last evening the service was somewhat slow. The crockery was not clean, a dishwasher problem we thought and very disappointing.

Went for lunch today not the best chips not very nice. Gravy was that thick was like glue you couldnt pour it over your meal wont be going back. Waste of £17.50

Seriously good fish and chips should be eaten as often as possible. Visit here a lot so what more is there to say. Great value and superb deals. Eat in or take away. And Don’t forget the unlimited chips on eat in.

Quite disappointed with the food. The chips weren't as fresh as normal.

Went in for lunch on Tuesday afternoon at 12.45. Waited to be seated when the guy wearing a leader t-shirt grunted and nodded towards a table that wasn’t full of dirty plates. We sat waiting for menus or for someone to acknowledge us but no one came over. The table next to us paid and when the “leader” who they called Ethan took the payment they made some small talk. Ethan still didn’t attempt to serve us but went to take the order of two guys that came in after us. This is our first visit to Poulton Seniors and we won’t return. Normoss Seniors is so much better, cleaner and friendly attentive staff. I understand if you are busy or short staffed but just acknowledge waiting customers.

It's a good few years since we visited Seniors, so when friends suggested it after an afternoon in Ma Kelly's Station in Blackpool, we were happy to try it out again. Small Haddock (lightly battered), chips, mushy peas, a slice of bread & butter, a very nice carton of Tartare sauce and of tea for £6 was excellent. There was plenty on the plate, delicious too, all making it extremely good value. I couldn't have eaten more than was served. In fact three of us had the same, with the other one choosing the standard size option. Only one little niggle.... A small helping doesn't necessarily need to be served on a plate that only just fits the serving on. It just makes it more difficult to eat the food comfortably by having to avoid accidentally pushing anything off when cutting into the fish portion. I know a large plate will make the portion appear smaller, but there has to be a mid-size plate available. Saying that, we will certainly be visiting more often 👍

Went for late lunch Thursday afternoon early February. Place was very clean. Had to use the toilets and the gents were spotless even if floor a tiny bit slippy as I think it had recently been mopped. Establishment is licensed and serves beer and wine by the glass and bottle. I ordered the large Haddock and chips with bread and butter and a bottle of sparkling water. Based on the waitresses suggestion my brother went for the mini meal deal with cod as his choice of fish. This was only £7.00 and included mushy peas, a slice of bread and butter and a pot of tea. Meals didn't take long to arrive. The fish on both meals was piping hot. I was disappointed with the chips. More to do with the texture rather than the taste. Plus they were a bit thin for chippy chips. And my large Haddock was two pieces rather than one big one. They were also on the thin side. I got a taste of my brothers mushy peas. They were good. And the bread was fresh, not stale or dried up like it had been left out all day. He enjoyed his and, for £7.00, have to say this was great value for money. But for me there was a little something lacking. Everything was ok. There was nothing major wrong but it wasn't special or memorable. The place was clean. The set meal was great value for money, especially in these times, but there was nothing that said this is wow and worth an hours drive to visit again.

This has to be one of my favourite chippies in the area, the chips are always cooked to perfection, as well as the fish, the staff are super friendly, and the plaice is spotless! (Sorry couldn't resist the fish pun.)

Stumbled across this place on our way home from blackpool . What a treat this place is the food is excellent and fantastic value .....4 of us chose large fish and chips in the sit down restaurant, £9.95 each with unlimited chips and we certainly didn't expect to get 2 good size fish on our plates , theres a choice of cod or haddock or both . Would highly recommend here and will definitely return when we're back in the area

I ordered from Normoss by click and collect, some time ago. Since then, I have been bombarded by unsolicited e-mails, despite the fact that I have asked to unsubscribe. I shall certainly not use this again.

A great clean and friendly Cafe and Take away.We eat in the cafe witch is immaculate clean We had the Seniors set meal for only £6.00,includes fish chips and a side,plus drink and bread and butter.The size of the fish and chips was very good.We where so happy with the meal and service we looked online to see where their other cafes are in the area.Would highly recommend a visit, take away or in their cafes.

Bought 2 lots of regular chips....noticed the yellow frying oil was seeping all over the carton wrapping paper .... all of the chips were very oily and mushy ,we just left them. We took them back ( not something we do normally) and were only offered another replacement or something else from the menu (very poor selection on offer )we were not offered a full refund as requested , we were told that Poulton branch cant do this (???)Anyway left very disappointed having to pay an extra 95p on top of the £5 for just 3 bottles of 500ml Celtic spring water (!!!!!!! £5.95 in total🧐😲).Not the nice chips weve had occassionally in the past that we wwre looking forward to. I do think it would be a good idea to offer a voucher or your money back....instead it was written on a wet piece of paper as an iou for next time.....

Me and my wife went to Seniors for Fish and chips yesterday. Could not falt it at all. Got a small haddock and chips and a drink and a slice of bread and butter and peas for two £12 I would recommend it we will return and the staff was very polite

I cannot believe some of these reviews.Myself my wife have taken her aged parents here once a month for about seven years.In between another sister takes them,sadly we lost mum in December,only today we took dad for lunch.The fish and chips are superb,and the portion size is incredible.Today was busy and I am glad,it's a wonderful friendly restaurant,and I look forward to visiting for many years more,and that is praise from a Yorkshireman.Well done Seniors.

You can get a great special fish chips peas b/b and a drink for 6.99. And it's plenty. Food and staff are spot on and they have baked fish on the menu for those who don't want batter. The restaurant is spotless.

Came at 6;50 on a Tuesday night for a sit-down meal Rang the buzzer and stood in the doorway of an empty restaurant (2 single diners) while the waitress saw and then ignored us. After several minutes the young man frying shouted over if we had been seen. He told us to just sit. The waitress came over and mumbled menu. Came back you ready to order. Repeated order to us and vanished. Luckily food was perfect service shockingly bad

Arrived at Poulton and went for lunch at seniors service excellent, food outstanding good choice. Prices reasonable would recommend.

Cheap Tuesday turned into expensive Tuesday .The chips and peas went into my dustbin..the peas were like a solid rock and tasted solely of vinegar. The chips were hard and green and if it weren't for being elderly l would have gone back to Seniors and returned the whole order. The shop hit and miss..we have had great food on occasions..sadly this wasnt one of them.

Chips nice but cod was small, tough and dry, I don't think it was fresh. The gravy that partner and daughter had wasn't nice and was lumpy

Just had the worst Fish and Chips for a long time. I ordered Large Cod, chips and mushy peas. The Fish was ok, but the chips were nothing but bits. No significant sized chips. The mushy peas were like glue and the whole meal was extremely disappointing. Since Seniors started delivery / pickup. The standard has dropped off significantly. I will not be going again and i would suggest that customers choose other chip shops

I had the mini fish deal with chips, mushy peas, bread and butter (I chose brown) and a pot of tea. Very reasonable price and it was plenty for me. I noticed that if you had full-sized portions you could have unlimited chips!
