Nice little proper chippy! Great value just over 20quid for 2 adults and a kids fish n chips plus a sausage for the cockapoos! Fish was nice and white altogether a tasty meal! Bonus could pay with card...need cash preferred!

Very disappointed family tea chips were like scraps hard got a small fish fitted in the palm of my hand rubbery rip off stay away was a nice shop once over gone right down the nick totally not worth the money and food now very poor quality thinking of going think again

I've been going here for years. Can't fault it. Fish is always good. Batter is spot on. If you're not a fan of fish, they do have some other good options. Black pudding and Haggis. 😋

We were impressed with food. Wide selection of items. It's nice to see black pudding and haggis on the menu. Fish and chips are very nice, perfectly made, just the way we like it. Service was very quick and friendly.

No thanks won't be going again to this chip shop. The chips consisted of 50% bits and very chewy. Where have all the good chip shops gone.

Visited this evening.Chips too hard, couldn't chew them not even the meager amount of gravy softened them .waste of money

Hi, I regularly get my fish and chips from Lightly Battered in preference to a one closer to home. Fish always large and no issues at all with chips. Never found them to be greasy or over cooked. A good fish and chip shop, no frills .

After waiting outside for 20 minutes was a complete waste of time, seems that regulars get different treatment. staff knew most of customers in front of me and their meals looked totally different to mine. when i got served mine looked rather dry etc. Didnt think of checking before I left but there again ive never needed to. The chips were hard and very dry obviously been cooked quite a while ago, the fish was also very very dry and tasteless. Complete waste of money and my time, certainly wont be going back, would not recommend them.

Excellent white Fish, lovely tasty crispy batter and not too oily like most fish and chip shops seem to do them these days. The chips are also excellent.

Not a great place at all, just had the fish and chips and fish wasnt cooked properly. The helpings were good the mushy peas weren't nt the best. Really quite a poor experience

Very good just to many chips but fish brilliant good value

The chips we ok, a lot of small pieces and not that hot. We asked for extra salt and vinegar but did not have much put on. We did ask if the chips were fried separately to the fish and were told yes, but i did have a reaction as I am intolerant. The fish was overly battered despite their name. The saving grace was the gravy and chicken wings.

Fish battered to your preference. Good size portions. Decent mushy peas curry sauce not fruity!! I can't comment on the pies as not had them. Loved the black pudding!!

Best chippy in the area. The lightly battered fish is fried fresh to order and I have never been disappointed. Convenient location with parking. Friendly, quick service with a handy off-licence next door.

Only thing I can say is its the worst fish and chips I have ever had never again. The fish was so over cook it was inedible and the chips were tasteless.

Been coming to this chippy every Wednesday for a couple of months the curry sauce is out of this world and the chips and large sausage are Always good. great service and close to wallings for ice cream afterwards yum yum :)

These have got to be the worst fish and chips we've had, been back a few times to see if improved, sadly they haven't. The fish is greasy and the chips soggy. A disappointment, will not be going back.

The new chippy in town is called Garstang Chippy and is in the centre of town. It is very good, but Lightly Battered pips it because their chips are the tastiest for many miles around.
