Myself and my partner ordered a takeaway from here. Most of the good tasted the same, almost as if they cook the food in the same oil. Certain parts of it was nice like the fish and the chips, but the spam fritters are super thin and the mars bar was vile and tasted fishy. There was also a missed item of cheesy chips. Overall a very meh takeaway.

Fantastic, definitely the best chippy in Fleetwood

Used this place loads of times and never had a problem. Not sure why you think it's ok to serve food like this though.

Everything was perfect and piping hot

worst I've ever had. Everything tasted of off cooking oil. burnt food all apart from drinks and x2 Holland pies ended up in bin totally uneatable. My son and me feel not well from this awful food. Never will I order again.

Always go in there when I'm in Fleetwood visiting family The staff very friendly and polite

will definitely be ordering from Shakies again. The food is quality, was hot & tbh, not overpriced. Myself & my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Our Gorgeous dog had a tiny bit of our pudding. As the saying goes. if your dog eats it, it's dee-licious ( 😄 ) on a serious note 10/10 Shakie. Thank you for a lovely meal. Sensationally Devoured. Scrumdiddlyumptious!!

Fish lovely chips overdone but lovely n fresh

Lovely fresh chips I use Pisces’s normally last few times been shocking chicken breast outstanding my new 2 go chippy

Ordered through Fleetwood Eats app on Black Friday meal deal. Was supposed with 2 free can of pop. They didn't arrive. Phoned up and was told was busy but they would send. No drinks arrived and shop fully closed. The order hasn't changed on the app from preparing and never received drinks that I've paid for. Food was ok but not amazing. Won't be rushing back which is a real shame as it worked reasonably well through app. Shame.

Was missing a drink which still not received even after calling the shop and being told would send one out - it never did arrive!! A couple of times this has happened!!

delivery driver was nice, poor portion size for pie meal, can and peas also missing from it, asked for meat pie and got meat and potato, and Irish curry was set in a lump and had to be spooned out of the tub. spam fritter was thin and overcooked. overall not very good and won't be back for a second go sorry.

Great food and quantity but food was cold when arrived

As far as chippys goes you don’t get much better than shakies , excellent service and great atmosphere. Fresh fish and a crunchy portion of chips served with a great smile.

So we ordered from this establishment at 5 o’clock And they cancelled our order after we’ve already waited one hour for the food we will not be ordering from this establishment again it is absolutely ridiculous Well done, kids crying

Small fish & chips and sausage for the dog under £6 wasnt expecting much for the price but really tasty food the chips was especially tasty/ crispy

Brilliant food in this chip shop. Between the members in our family we tried haddock, chips and sausage and cheeseburger. We also tried a battered mars bar between us for the first time. The staff were polite, we visited at a very quiet time at around midday on a monday. We were served quickly and efficiently. Everything we bought to eat was very well cooked, tasted great and wrapped well, and kept warm until we ate it. Prices were clearly visible and availability was clear too. There was a

Shakies - lunch time - fish and chips very good served by two smiley ladies, and smiling staff always a good sign of well run chippy with good eating to follow. Recently I seem to be visiting all the chippy’s in Fleetwood. Apparently there are twelve left in Fleetwood. Back in the day there were very many more. I’ve now sampled Shakies, Chatties, Pisces, Shark, Dolphin, Granada, Ferry Cafe, Highbury Chippy, and loved each one. Admittedly my sentiment for Fleetwood may cloud judgement, but each one so far good clean quality - five stars!

Order was delivered with missing items. Spoke to chipppy who said they would resend out. Again wrong order sent.

Could have been a bit hotter, but the fish was so tasty! Asked for lightly battered and it perfect.

Great gravy & battered sausages. Small dish is a good size & large fish is BIG. Only negative is peas could do with a little salt as a bit bland. Other than that Shakies is brilliant & a lot cheaper than others in Fleetwood & surrounding areas.

Called in after travelling to Fleetwood, had the regular haddock. Not the best I've had and it certainly didn't agree with me

It was nice but went there to early ,warmed up chips . I should've waited till later. The haddock was a little dry . Overall left a bit of a greasy taste round the lips.

As usual, good quality and hot, no issues with shakies chippy, the delivery lady is just lovely, but your actually delivery app is not accurate. You can never get any info on your order until it has actually arrived, then you get messages to say it’s on its way, when you’ve already got it?

Not piping hot, but fish was delicious, best we’ve had in a while! Mix with thick chips and v tasty.

too many un eatable hard small dry chips, the onion rings were different between some hard and soft. but the steak and kidney pies, cheesy chips n gravy and sausage were good.

Very poor quality . Chips were probably fresh yesterday. Fish very little and a lot of batter overcooked . Peas were ok and our barm cakes turning crispy around the edges . 1 st and last time ordering from here. Would not recommend at all

As usual all good, but I paid twice as much for an extra large fish and it was the same size as the large I ordered . Not happy with that, as I could’ve just ordered 2 large and saved myself £7!!!!

An Awesome Chippy, one of the best I’ve been to and they have had a royal visitor too👌so must be very good, well I agree. Lovely and fresh, piping hot and great tasting I think the present owner Moises Pittounihos has done a really good job keeping this business a no. 1 visit. His staff are very friendly and work great together. Definitely worth a visit for awesome food 👌

Best chippy around by a country mile

Partner and I went and got pudding chips and gravy, small fish chips and gravy and a tube of peas £11.50 which was really good value. Piping hot, little too much salt had been put on for my liking but minor gripe Fish dinner smaller box and fewer chips than the pudding dinner but all got eaten, friendly service, chairs to sit on whilst you wait for your food coming. Would recommend.

This chippy is always on point but tonight it’s was awful! Hardly any chips and burnt fish and the prices increased too

First time ordering and will be the last.On my order was 2 large chips which were basically cold scraps and enough for 1 person. Absolutely ridiculous

Let me apologise first I dont like to leave negative reviews. This is for owners information really. Normally love my fish chips and mushy peas (small portion) from Shakies. Last night 31st August approx 6pm we got our usual and have to say the fish was terrible. Hardly any fish (I dont expect a lot because it's a small one) at least half normal small portion plenty of batter to make it up but very hard and overcooked (nearly burnt to be honest) chips and mushy peas were fine. I'll try again and hopefully be able to update my review.

Chips were mainly scraps, childs nuggets were hard and there was next to no cheese on the cheesy chips. Not the first time we have had a bad experience from here.

It would have been a good meal if it was not smothered in pestering. I did ask for peas but the amount was far too much it spoiled the taste of the fish a chips. Sorry to say I ended up putting it in the bin. Very disappointed.

Got delivery, and the food was piping hot, also delicious, the best chippie I've tried so far. Black pudding in batter, Scallops, Chips with gravy and peas, and chips on their own. Voted a huge success.

Takeaway chips were the best I've ever had. Fabulous potatoes cooked to perfection, hot and crisp with a creamy flavour. Generous portions. Great menu choices

Having eaten from here a number of times and food quality is always the best (but generally walk to collect). Had their fish, chips and curry sauce loads of times - but the Chicken burger not great!! Plain, dry, flavourless...

I asked for no peas on my daughters sausage dinner as there is no option to remove it and it came smothered, safe to say it went in the bin. Tried to call with no answer, the spam fritter was awful, it was literally dripping in grease, thinnest slice of spam and thick batter. Never order that again. Rest was fine. All in all such a shame they have always been my best chippy!

Orderd Holland pie meal, recived pudding & chips, no pie as orderd no peas no gravy, kids meal missing drink as well.

Stopped here for fish and chips , it was lovely fresh food ! Sat on the seafront and really enjoyed it with my grandson !

As soon as this food arrived we were overwhelmed by the fishy smell. Fresh fish should not smell like that. When we opened it we found the fish absolutely dripping in oil and grease, way more than you would ever expect from a battered fish. The batter was soggy and smelly and the oil had made a hole in the tray and leaked all over contents of the bag. The chips just tasted of grease and everything stinks. I will not be eating a single bite. Used to be a great chippy. Don't know what's happened. I am very disappointed.

I came in on Saturday night and ordered two fish and chip meal deals and a senior citizen’s, there was two girls working and they were the most polite and well mannered staff you could’ve asked for. Food was fresh and the fish was crispy. Wait time was minimal and I will definitely be back for sure! Thank you!

Waited over an hour for our food, phoned the shop to be told "we forgot to make it" and they're are closing, had to contact Foodhub for refund, and now had to escalate the refund to an email. Absolute Joke!
