The best restaurants serving Default food in Clayton-le-Dale with Ramsgreave Ribble Valley North West

This is my dad's local and he said that they had just started breakfast so we gave it ago. Lovely service and good quality breakfast items that were cooked perfectly. Definetly worth a visit

I didn't dine in so this review is about a takeaway. Odd times I like to treat myself and I've been to the Shajan restaurant since the very early days when it was little more than a bungalow with my late wife. So being of an age where sometimes things are difficult I decided on a takeaway and ordered a takeaway I have had before, Lamb Sal Boti. When i got it home it looked awful and when I tasted it, it was. Half of it went in the bin, the sauce was watery and there was one large chunk of lamb in the middle plus other smaller lumps. After years of dining and takeaways at the Shajan will I go again? It will take a long time to think about it.

GF likes here as the chicken liver pate and accompanying pizza garlic bread also hit the spot. So there ended up a couple of those on the table plus a king prawn ginger starter. All OK. Mains a bit more disappointing especially the Sunday Roast Beef. Thin tough slices of beef served with their basic veg that they serve with their other dishes. No effort there. The Madeira pork was nice and GF enjoyed her fettuccine paradiso. Couple of desserts - one someone’s second sundae of the weekend and the other a decent crème brûlée. £36 for a bottle of standard Soave is outrageous and I have to say the place lacked any atmosphere and the staff any warmth.

We had an excellent visit to Yu which for us always delivers the quality of food that we have come to expect having visited for many years! Service was good for us and the kids enjoyed the mocktails at the bar before being seated. Not the cheapest but for us definitely worth it!

This pub has recently had a facelift, and boy does it show. It looks fantastic. The staff are very welcoming, I didn’t have an alcoholic drink but other customers seemed happy with their drinks. The food holy smokes the food was amazing, very well presented and tasted brilliantly. Overall very successful visit. I know the new landlady so I’ll be back multiple times! Good job folks

I'm a frequent visitor to this country pub, I come with a young adult with learning difficulties usually on a Friday when the superb fish offer is on. The food and drinks are excellent but moreover the staff are exceptional, all of them welcome us with smiles and cheer, they remember the special requirements of my companion's diet and preferences on each occasion, this I really appreciate. Thank you to the team and keep up the amazing work 😃😃😃
