The best restaurants serving Default food in Croydon London

this is a gem of a cafe/restaurant very relaxed and friendly and great value for money it's a mixture of caribbean and british food i normally have the jerk chicken and my wife the meatballs it's always great . what i really like is that most jerk places are more take away based where this is a great place to chill out with a nice coffee or a cold beer .

Me encontré con este café por accidente, porque nuestro lugar habitual estaba cerrado por vacaciones. Qué accidente resultó ser: el camarero es el más amable que he encontrado y el desayuno inglés es excepcional. La calidad también es de muy alta calidad. Buenos ingredientes, alimentos recién cocinados y (aunque un poco más caros que muchos de sus compañeros), de hecho, tienen una mejor relación calidad-precio debido a su calidad. Muy recomendable. Las únicas dos desventajas menores de la cafetería es que no tienen la misma amplia variedad de desayunos que muchos lugares, esto es, ya que muchos de sus clientes son portugueses y algunas de las cosas que se sirven son auténticas comidas portuguesas, y aparecieron los hongos. 1st I must admit I did work for these guys for a while a few years back but I still go there if I fancy a pizza the best pizza I've had in Croydon and I can confirm all their dough is fresh and ingredients plus their service is always good too. I would highly recommend this when it stops in Sanderstead on a Thursday. Remember to check out their weekly specials too.

Lovely Sunday carvery.served hot with lots of choice of vegetables. I had veg option.excent service and even allowed me to change my booking time last minute.

I have been coming to this cafe, now called Pizza El Rei, for 3 years and the food is absolutely amazing. Pizzas have also been added to the menu and they are delicious. I would totally recommend this to anyone passing through, looking for something to eat. They also offer breakfast options, burgers, salads, and pasta dishes such as spaghetti bolognese and Carbonara.

Better chicken than most chicken shops. Better waffles than most desert places. I usually order but I went in recently and was pleased with the polite and helpful staff. Not really any space to enjoy a meal inside, so definitely get delivery or takeaway. Ask to try the special sauce before you get it in your sandwich. I love it, my wife's not a fan. Try the lotus biscooff shake!

We used Penny’s for a summer party and they were amazing. We had approximately 90 people and they were all fed very efficiently, the quality of the ingredients was superb with a special shout out to the vegan cheese which was the best people have ever tasted. We had a couple of visiting Italians who were also bowled over by the quality. I will without a doubt use them again

Popped on with family for post lunch snack. Stayed longer than expected. Beautiful food. Our food allergies catered for. Don't expect super fast service, but do expect care and attention, and authenticity. Will be going back!

Clean place with good washrooms.Excellent food.We ordered a meal for two combo.We couldnt finish the whole thing.I normally am a bit hungry when I eat in resturants but not at this place.It came with derserts too.Very very tasty food.

The service was wonderful, the food delicious and the coffee fantastic. What an absolute diamond of a cafe. Finally somewhere with a bit of personality. This is not that close to where I live but I’ll be making the effort to come again as it was so perfect!
