I have been coming to this cafe, now called Pizza El Rei, for 3 years and the food is absolutely amazing. Pizzas have also been added to the menu and they are delicious. I would totally recommend this to anyone passing through, looking for something to eat. They also offer breakfast options, burgers, salads, and pasta dishes such as spaghetti bolognese and Carbonara.

Many locals visit Pond Cafe. Aside from the instant coffee (£1.20), this quaint and very clean restaurant provides a generous breakfast for £6 (as of June 2018).

The service was wonderful, the food delicious and the coffee fantastic. What an absolute diamond of a cafe. Finally somewhere with a bit of personality. This is not that close to where I live but I’ll be making the effort to come again as it was so perfect!

131 Oval RoadAlways good food and beer at this local pub. Only a few minutes’ walk from East Croydon station. Big beer garden for summer lunchtimes and evenings.

14 South EndI read a review that the prices had gone up but that isn't true. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 4 x 250ml glasses of wine for £115 including tip which is standard price for Croydon. Also got 2 free digestives on the house at the end which was nice. I would definitely go back.
