Friendly staff, too small for the size of hospital & the menu needs a look at. I felt visiting family at the hospital for a week, meant the menu was too much of the same type of food. Aside from this, meals were available from Marks&Spencer but there was no where to heat them up.

Delicious pizza, side salad and chips plus plenty of choice of desserts and great service, especially from Nicola who was friendly, humorous and very efficient - everything we look for in the ideal server. We have eaten at The Angel a number of times and look forward to our next visit.

Arrived und went upstairs to use that order board only to find although there's plenty of oder flags. It won't let me use the table service function so walk back down to wait for my food I'm number 001, gets to order 003 I ask where mine is she just walked out back for a moment then gave me the food with no apology in fact no works at all. So I then walk back up the stairs to find no BBQ sauce in the dispenser. A member of staff issues nearby so I mention it's empty. He then proceeds to start looking to replenish it. I said could you not go get some from downstairs so I'm not going to have to leave my food and go back down while my food is getting cold. He just looks and smiles as if he doesn't understand what I'm saying. Do down I go again! Had to go into the kitchen to ask for some while explaining I've had to go up and down the stairs because of these issues that could easily be avoided. And guess what both women look as me and smile as if they don't speak the same language. Go back to my door and the cheese bite were cold. I would say shocking service but it was actually no service at all

Have to say this is not a good advert for the contract caterer Ellior, if this is the best you can do hand back the keys and allow another company to run the coffee shop in Broomfield. This is my second visit in two weeks and can only confirm it is worse and not something I would want to use again. Caked in counter not programmed in the till so three operators to work one till whilst the queue grows is unbearable when I finally sat down noticed two ladies on laptops with Ellior logos meeting, hopefully they were working out how to program the till either way this whole cafe concept needs a major update and send in a team from head office to sort it out. I can't believe this is the flagship cafe in this giant hospital on Broomfield. I would not use this if I did not have an alternative to sit down whilst visiting the hospital. P.s. don't order the millionaire shortcake or the salted caramel muffins unless you want the service to stand to a halt ....
