Place was cold long wait and staff seemed clueless, mates order was wrong ordered special sweet n sour and got just chicken that was rubbery and just not great, My curried chicken was rubbery but sauce was not to bad, place used to be not bad years ago but feel its gone downhill, Wont be back

First visit, moved recently into Johnshaven and was told about May Garden but had been closed during summer. Glad I waited, had a lovely meal, had spring rolls x 3 medium size per portion, chicken kung po and chicken with mushrooms and fried rice, all very nice. Would recommend. 😃

Food was delivered, still very hot, was the best Chinese takeaway we have had for a long time, highly recommend trying it, couldn't fault it and have ordered again

Booked on the website and advised pick up in 25 mins waited a further 45 at the premises and watched utter chaos unfold as wrong orders went out, mixed up orders, got wrong timings, loads of people waiting some jolly giant 😂 I take it the delivery man trying to sort it out 😂😂😂, was only passing through will definitely keep going next time food was cold so threw in the bin at the next lay-by waste of 90 mins and 30 note

Just ordered two meals and a starter, chicken satay skewers, special fried rice and chicken kun po and a portion of egg fried rice. The skewers were different than usual but still quite tastey. However it went decidedly downhill from there, the kun po was infested with peanuts which was a tad surprising and the batter was on the thick side in fact not very edible. The fried rice was soggy and unappetising the majority of the meal went in the bin we will not be back.

Can't dine in here. It's a takeaway. Has improved a lot the last year. Still not amazing, but certainly hits the spot when you can't be bothered cooking.

No website, just a Facebook page, with a mobile number. After scrolling through many many photos, eventually found a menu. My daughter fancied a "munchie box" but as we were unsure as to how much this actually wcontained, I ordered an extra mixed starter. Now, the ordering! Called the mobile number...voice mail, leave a message. So I figured that this was their ordering system?? I left my name, number, order and a time for collection...{covid -collection or home del}. At this point I had no idea of what would happen next. Would they call back, or text, to confirm my order? Apparently not. My daughter went to collect it after her work. 1- they never received the order, 2- for a mixed starter you must order TWO! She then had to wait a further 20mins for them to make up the order. Being pretty hungry by now, we had great expectations! Plenty of food in the box...probably have fed 3! But OMG!!! SALT!! Everything was sooooo salty. And very greasy. I get that it was all deep fried, but this was oozing. Hence a night of little sleep...belly ache and thirst. Will not be returning. Which is a shame, as just now we should be supporting local businesses!
