China Town in Aberdeenshire

My wife and I are visiting the area staying in our caravan. I bought a carry out meal for us both and we agree the food was as good as any Chinese food we have had. If anything against would be you can't pay by card and the premises could do with a spruce up. Don't let that put you off. Food was excellent.

The blandest Special Fried Rice I have ever had - no taste whatsoever. Not sure if I'll be back. Cash only - why? In these changed times you need to change with the times. Cash only businesses are trying to hide something in my view but that's another matter. Make-shift reception area also poorly done. Been here load of times before and never had an issue.I usually enjoy a Chinese takeaway but not tonight. 1

Went here and was told by the very rude waiter it was takeaway only and basically didn't want our custom. We were regulars here but wont be back. They need to get shot of him before there business goes down the pan. Definitely wont be back

The service is nothing short of embarrassing. The owner likes to shout at customers and the food does not make up for this

Bit dissapointed as the pork on the chow mein was really tough, and the spare ribs were also hard, before food used to be nice and soft, the spring rolls wernt very good, hope they cook food softer, and not make BBQ sauce very salty. otherwise good portion size.

Food is good. Can't complain at all with that. But the chap being counter horrendous won't be back. The last owners were brilliant. Don't know what has happened.

Very poor service, rude young lad/owner. Don't think I'll be back if I'm honest. I would advise others to do the same

We hadn’t tried china town for a long time and I doubt I’ll be back any time soon. The chicken is rubbery and of a low standard. The rice was ok but the rest of the meal was bang average verging on poor. Nicer Chinese takeaways round the corner and in Banff

Got a takeaway from here this week whilst up in Scotland visiting family. Has got to be one of the worst Chinese meals I have had. Everything we ordered (3 separate and completely different main courses) all came in the same bright orange radioactive sweet sauce. Chilli beef was so greasy that could only manage a couple of pieces then gave up. Likewise spring roll was very greasy. Prawn crackers were not fresh. The only saving grace was the chips, which were nice. Service consisted of being grunted at so even that was poor. Won't be going back and I would advise people to avoid.

Went in for a takeaway and the man came through, didnt say a word, didnt give eye contact or anything. I gave my order and he said the price, and i handed over a 20 pound note, and he went "do you have change" and i said no, he just tutted, looked annoyed and grabbed my note, he then when i put my hand out for change, threw the change down on the counter and walked away, I was disgusted with the service, the food is good, but the service is unacceptable. Would not recommend.

Shocking how bad honey chilli chicken is here the picture proves it will never be back drove miles for this never again. Mushy chicken it should read in a tub of sugary syrup.

Lovely Chinese whether you take away or eat in. Very friendly staff. Great flavours of any dishes we have ever tried. Family friendly for a sit down too.

Nice Chinese quick service and huge portions. I have eaten in and taken away and both very nice. Eating in the buffet is very cheap and lots of food, have never managed to finish as so big of portions.

Pretty awful decor with annoying flashing lights on the ceiling. The lady that served us was lovely but the food was at best average.

This is a beautiful Chinese restaurant, modern decor. The staff are very welcoming and will help in anyway. Food is top notch To begin we had starters of vegetarian spring rolls, prawn toast and bbq spare ribs. For main we had sweet and sour king prawns Hong Kong style, 1/4 duck, stir fried mixed vegetables, house special fried rice and a boiled rice. Really enjoyed what we could eat, had the rest to take away and had it next day for tea. Would recommend to anyone who likes to try Chinese.

Very good size porsion taste special curry a little price compered to other chineses in the area but the porsions are larger one of the better chinese in the area

I visit this Chinese regularly and it never fails to impress. I tend to stick to the same order of shredded chilli chicken. Will always go back :-)

Last time I will waste my time going to this place. The chicken is slimy and full of water. If you want Chinese food Andy tang's is two minutes away

Restaurante agradable y llevar la carretera por el situado frente al puerto. Las comidas eran de buen tamaño de la porción, calidad y precio razonable para el dinero. Interior básico dentro de un edificio antiguo y no muy concurrido un martes por la noche. Personal agradable y eficiente. Este restaurante hace lo que dice.

The set meal here is good value, freshly cooed to order and as much or little as you want, nice mix of foods in a small but friendly place, eaten here many times and would recommend it to anyone as a good meal no frills good value

My husband and I we go for a meal and we had the " buffe" soup,rice was ok but the duck and chicken was bad I my husband ask for beef and was very tuff and more or less impossible to eat we pay for the buffee around £15 each!!! was my first time and my last dafenetly was a really bad expirance

The young lady serving my friend & I this evening was in my opinion the best thing this restaurant offered: she was friendly, polite, not over-attentive but aware when we finished each course.My friend rates the restaurant more highly than I do - I suspect he'd have rated it average, because he told me he sets the bar low for Chinese Restaurants. He and I both had the crispy won tons. If you like fried brown paper, this is the starter for you. They were completely flat, lacked a filling and even with the indeterminate sauce tasted as boring as I imagine that brown paper would. (I remember chewing some when I was 2!)My fried then had crispy chilli beef, which he said he enjoyed - he ate it all, so it must have been ok. I chose scallops with ginger and spring onion, and found there was too heavy a bias on the onion and not enough scallops. The ginger was VERY strong, almost overpowering the other flavours. However it was definitely edible, so I ate most of it.I had pineapple fritters to end the meal, while my friend had coffee. I really enjoyed the fritters, and he said his coffee was perfectly fine. The house red wine was drinkable too, but I'd say that overall the meal was mediocre, and I certainly shan't be going back.

Gave this place another chance and the food was better than last time but still not great. A positive is the speed in which it's cooked

I've had one experience here that hasn't been up to the normal standard but every other time its been top notch!! the buffet is amazing!! would defo recommend the sharing platter!Lovely banana or pineapple fritter to finish and even a cup of tea!What would make this restaurant even better is if they delivered!!

We found this place by chance and booked a table, we had choice of Al a carte menu or all you can eat buffet at £15.95 with the kids eating at half price, we choice buffet,we had a great variety to choice from and after starter and second we were offered our menu so we could chose the main, meals were delicious and very filling and dessert of pineapple fritter was fresh and crunchy, very tasty. We will visit again

We've always had a great meal here. They do a fab buffet, all you can eat and you order from the kitchen for £15.99pp. Helpful and friendly staff. :-)

I gave this place one last chance but unfortunate I got the same results I've had the last three times. The food is tasteless and bland. The sit in buffet is pricy and not worth the money
