I can speak for the chipper side of things here. Red pudding excellent and chips very good. Service great and prices reasonable. Don’t let the fact it’s a Chinese takeaway put you off, I’ve been very impressed.

Ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style, over welming taste of vinigar not authentic chinese taste at all in fact home made sweet and sour is better, wouldn't recommend there is better locally.

I have used this takeaway for both Chinese cuisine and standard chip shop stuff hundreds of times. I've never had any reason to complain about the food, portion sizes are fine, price is decent enough. I think it pips the other chinese a few doors towards the Square on price alone, quality is on a par. Solid reliable takeaway.

On our way home from a night out we were unable to find a traditional Fish and Chip Shop open after 10:00 pm in Inverurie. The Dragon Garden - just up the road in Huntly - provides traditional Chinese and Scottish fare until midnight at weekends and 11:00 pm during the week. We went for a traditional fish supper which was just excellent. The chips were perfectly cooked and not too crisp while the fish was tasty with a light fluffy batter. All served by pleasant, polite staff. Everything is cooked to order - so be prepared for a wait - but for us this was well worth it. We must try the Chinese menu on our next visit!

The chip shop part of this establishment serves the best food . Our experience with the Chinese part wasn't so pleasant. Really fatty pork in the pork curry and the fried rice was a brown colour , which lead us to believe it'd been cooked in same oils as previous dishes . Ate what we could and dog got the rest . We felt very thirsty the rest of the night which was strange. Wouldn't have Chinese from here again and would stick to the Chinese at the square instead . But as previously stated the chip shop part of this place does serve really good food . The deep fried pizza being a firm favourite in our household 😀 The waiting area doesn't look clean 😣and can be off putting and the staff are efficient but not what I'd call friendly . That's my experience so pop along and give it a try for yourself 👍

After much discussion with my wife about how confused the place looks. Chinese AND fish n chips? Place looks like a chippy from outside. But ordered some anyway. Got home and opened everything up, got everything we ordered. Very big chicken satay which was great, wife had chicken curry with chips and fried rice, all of which were good. I always judge a chinese by the Special Chow Mein.....and I wasn't dissapointed. Would defo use this takeaway again. Does seem to be very popular with the locals but lacks reviews, so thought I would just type a quick one.

I ordered a chicken Maryland form here and was disgusted to find the accompaniments to the chicken were a stale hot dog and greazy onion rings and pineapple fritter. No banana!! It was rather bland and tasteless and I find unfortunate to say that I had a severely upset stomach afterwards, which caused me to miss out on my shift at work.... and subsequently money! Will I return? No!!

Exactly what my title says. I only takeaway from here because it has good flavours and the Chinese food tastes like I remember when I was a kid coming on holiday to the uk with my family. I was a bit worried though when I walked in lately and seen they had also taken on being a fish and chip shop. Can't comment on the quality of that but I just feel stick to your strengths as I thought they were good at their own cuisine. Staff friendly and prices are competitive, portions sizes are good. Wish I knew how to cook chicken fried rice like they do.

The Dragon Garden is a Take Away Chinese Restaurant only.( It does not have any seating ) It has an extensive Chinese menu and the food is of a very high standard and cooked to order- fried items are always crisp and well drained and sauces are tasty! (There is also "chip shop" menu food available) Waiting time depends on how busy they are ,but you can save time by phoning in your order and arranging a time to pick it up. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous. Tip: the "Chinese" portions of Chips are better and drier than the "Chip -shop" chips from the front counter.
